"Sir, what about the food supply?" A captain asked in confusion, I looked at him and nodded, "First, all fruits will be gathered and placed inside baskets sealed from all sides only allowing air to enter, second the animals that have been killed and captured are to be skinned by a group, and the meat will be preserved."
Taking a deep breath, I continued "Processing the meat but difficult but we can cook it first before hanging it, we have no salt now and no berries to create alcohol which can also make meat stay for a longer period."
Looking around, the captains seemed to be confused, "Just do what I say, and we will have a constant amount of food supplies later on" I said while shaking my head, "Next is the fur we get from the animals, currently everyone is wearing normal linen cloths, and this is not good. I want all of the furs to be made into tents first, with the leaves gathered from the trees it can be made into beds and the fur can be made into tents before we begin with the armor!"
After finishing the explanation, one of the beastmen captains asked "Sir! What do we do about the monsters who can't build or skin?"
I smiled, "They are going to be sentries while we work. I believe that they have what it takes to do it."
Everyone nodded, "Ok, since we have no more ideas, the logs are to be inserted into the grounds, for now, it would not cover everything, but we will be able to finish it with ease later on, you are dismissed!"
The captains saluted and rushed back to their groups, looking at them. I began to think about many things, and plans are necessary for anything that may or may not come.
Time passed, the night arrived, and torches made out of the plans were covering every spot of the hill, soldiers worked hard and were extremely tired, but they will be rewarded later on.

Watching everyone work, I remembered my adopted children, my wife, my brothers, and sisters. "I miss you guys, sigh…" I said in whispers as I stretched my body before picking up the stones surrounding the hill and gathering them in one location.
Slowly, everyone completed their tasks, and everyone began to group up and wait for my commands. I looked at them and nodded, "You deserve to rest! Take a nap and wake up after 3 hours!" I shouted and dismissed them all.
The soldiers shouted in joy, some beastmen laid on the grass and slept peacefully while the humans and goblins carried some leaves and arranged it before laying on it and taking a nap. The captains didn't follow their groups and gathered around me with exhaustion.
"Sir, what to do now" One of the human captains who had bags under his said with resolve. "Go rest, we have more work to do today," I said as I dismissed them.
Standing there I watched them as all of them went to sleep. I smiled and whispered to myself 'I got more work to do' without feeling exhausted. Walking towards the stones, I smiled and worked on several projects I had in mind.
Items of all sorts were slowly piling up next to me, everything necessary for survival and warfare. Weapons for warfare, tools for gathering, tools for crafting, workbench, blacksmithing tools and finally my favorite, water pump.
As I was working on the pipes, I noticed the werewolf standing next to me, and he seemed to have slept for two hours, "Sir…" He said with a low voice as he looked inspired by my actions. "Want to help?" I asked with a smile as I handed him some sewing tools, including the sewing machine.
"Sir, how do I use this?" He said as he looked at the table for sewing, "First place the threads created from the sheep wool on the round thing" I said to him as I began to point to several things, "Lastly, you will sit down on this chair and place your foot on the peddle without applying pressure, use the scissors and cut off any extra thread and put pressure on the peddle to run this wheel as it will sew the fur, remember to move your hands and legs at the same pace to keep it balanced"

The werewolf nodded and began to work on the fur. Eventually, he got the hang of it on his fourth try and started to create fabrics. I gave him a few planks and told him to roll the fabrics around the planks. Understand his job, he continued working on that, and I gave him a thumbs up before going back to my work.
'Good housewife material…' I thought before dismissing the idea and continuing the pipe creation process. Time went by, and the soldiers began to wake up from their slumber and gathered into a straight line forming a spectacular scene under the rising sun.
Looking at them, I nodded and placed my hands behind my back before speaking, "All of you did a great job yesterday, but I am still not satisfied!"
Everyone who was half asleep, half awake became fully focused. "I don't want weaklings under me, and I want the powerful, are you powerful?!"
The aura around the soldiers is changing, and with the right moment where the sun was creating shadows out of them they all screamed "Yes sir!"
I looked at them not impressed, "Let me repeat my words… Are you powerful?!"
They all screamed again with a powerful force "Yes sir!"
I smiled, "Everyone is to eat till he is full before going back to work, group 1 to 9 will go down the mountains to gather logs, the scouts will check our surroundings before coming back, group 10 to 15 will gather animals, group 16 to 24 will begin digging the areas marked on the hill to place the logs within and the remaining will follow me to craft tools!"
After finishing the instructions, I began to place the stuff I created into different parts and leading group 25 to 28 I showed them what to do as well as how to use the tools, they nodded and slowly they began to organize themselves before starting their task.
Looking at the supply slowly coming in I nodded and began to search around the hill for anything useful. After moving around for a bit, I noticed an area within the hill that looked like a cave hidden by the trees, smiling I entered it and saw a large number of minerals on the walls of the cave.
Moving towards the minerals, I transformed my entire hand and gathered a small amount from the wall as I looked at it carefully.
'Iron-ore… high grade... ' I took the ore and went back on the hill, "Group 27 and 28 will stop what they are doing and follow me now! Pick up your pickaxe and come!" I shouted before pulling to me and walking back to the mine.
After showing them what to do I instructed them to the mining process and transportation, I went back to the hill and picked a slate before placing heavy rocks on it and began to create a path to the mine.
After completing everything, I went back on the hill and began to process the Iron-ore before creating a small dagger with it.
'I got much to learn huh… sigh, how long will it take to fortify this entire hill' I shook my head and watched everyone without resting.

"Monster…" Observer A and B said as both of them were watching the glass ball with the old man.

Once I've got a handle of myself and what's stopping me from enjoying this, I'll finish his story with a burning passion, but until then, I don't want to add anything Sub-Par to it. I'm so sorry once again, but i hope everyone can enjoy what's been written so far. Stay awesome you lovely people :D )

Balancing of the world
Just as humanity reached the height of its power, it fell again. Mana was introduced into a previously balanced world, sending everything present into chaos. Humanity losing its technological advantages, fell back to the dark ages, back to when survival was all but guaranteed. Mana though useful for enhancing the body isn’t unlimited, and humanity fell behind fast. From experiments, a being of mana, born into this chaotic world. The first of its kind. Rather than thriving in a world to which it belongs, it has to model the world so it will suit its needs. As a lone being, it has to use its power over mana to influence beasts and humans alike to abide by its will and further its goals. It will manipulate intelligent lifeforms to do its bidding while believing that they are becoming stronger. It will help lower lifeforms and guide their lives until they fit into the world as envisioned by our being. Read how our protagonist starts in a small area, changing it to suit its needs, and then grows until the world is balanced and at peace again. This is my first story, and I don’t have an editor yet. My English should be good enough, but I expect to have to go back and do editing later on. I would classify this story as litRPG. There will be a type of system with blue boxes and all, though the perspective is the system itself and how it came to be and why it does what it does. As a single mighty being, there will be dungeon core influences such as expanding the area and influencing all within though there is no such thing as an actual dungeon. As humanity is trying to survive, there will also be some city/base building influences, and I will have some perspective changes to show how the forces are being perceived by the affected people. As I have a busy job, it will be hard to update consistently, but I am quite a bit ahead of what I have currently uploaded.

The Designated: Out of Control
It happened quicker than anyone would have imagined. Multiple hurricanes were one thing. People had dealt with that in the past. But, like kids playing dominoes, one thing crashed into another. Areas affected by hurricanes needed resources all along the Gulf and East Coasts drew rescuers and resources away from other parts of the country. When wildfires lit up the Pacific coast and mid-west, those areas were already understaffed. Driven by hurricanes in the Pacific basin, uncontrolled wildfires burned through towns, destroying everything in their paths. Across the Pacific, Asia didn't escape. From the Philippines, across China, into Indochina, and Bangladesh and India. Typhoons and cyclones pounded the coasts and far inland. Widespread flooding forced millions from their homes and across international borders. Mexico was hit hard and thousands died in mudslides as Katia slammed into their East Coast. The refugees fled north and west. Rumours started that hundreds of thousands were headed for the US border. Instead of running out of steam in the southern US, several hurricanes tore up the eastern seaboard, devastating cities and renewing their strength before veering east across the Atlantic. Maria and Ophelia veered east and slammed into Europe, reaching as far as the Netherlands and Russia before finally dissipating. After that, too many weather stations were offline to provide any form of co-ordinated information or warnings. Wildfires in Portugal burned ahead of the storms, fanned by hurricane winds. They sparked wildfires leapfrogging across Europe, beyond any one country's ability to cope. Already uneasy from multiple terrorist attacks over the summer, anti-refugee groups seized the opportunity to stage protests across Europe. Some turned violent as they clashed with police forces. Several governments declared martial law to quell the rioting and enforce evacuations along the path of the storms. Rumour and speculation overwhelmed facts. Unrest spilled over into widespread violence. Then sickness broke out in the displaced populations. Within a matter of a dozen weeks, tens of millions died. In the coming winter months hundreds more would follow. The Designated Project was activated.

Rooms of the Desolate
Rooms of the Desolate is a collection of short stories designed to guide the reader through the many rooms and mysteries of the bleak and greyscale labyrinth of the Desolate. The first entry, "The Forever Tower" follows an unnamed wanderer climbing an endless, colourless tower; the only world they have ever known. As they slowly ascend alongside the masses, they consider the nature of their world and look to the corridors as temptation beckons. The second entry, "Production Line", follows an engineer in a boundless factory, who encounters a product that does not wish to bow to the overseers and makes them question their belief in the truth and duties they were made to believe. Content guidelines: Current entries do not include explicit profanity, but future entries may do so, hence the presence of that tag. Some entries do include gore and violence, though not currently to particularly extreme degrees. The Desolate is exactly that: a desolate world; as such, it is bleak, downtrodden, and may deal with mental struggles. Cover art credit: Adam Borkowski on Pexels.
