Brought up in Jersey city, as a kid, he loved watching cartoons. As An introvert, he didn’t like communicating much with people, and had a few friends. He was smart in class and had an IQ of 137. Always in top 3 in class, yet never talking to anyone. He stayed at home, gaming, watching Anime etc. Time passed, and he became 13 year old. He got in 8th grade(2015). This time, he had changed school and made new friends. His choice of friends was wrong this time. He got less interested in introvert activities because of his new friends, and more invested in bullying others and started to become more extrovert. Most kids in school were afraid of Seji and his gang of his other 3 friends. He started going gym with them at that young age as well.

One day, he was coming back from gym and saw a man and few other people standing at a dead end of a street. They were beating a man.

“What are they doing?” Seji said.

“Wait, let’s see.” His friend named Lesley said.

“Dude, that’s so cool. Look at them.” Another friend of Seji said, his name was Max.

“cool...” Seji muttered and looked. They were hiding behind a wall.

“They are the black hats gang. They don’t usually fight, the person must have broken the rule.” Seji's another friend Danny said.

“Rule?” Seji asked.

“Yea, These gangsters are true rulers. The person must have done something illegal or betrayed the gang.” Danny said.

“Rulers..” Seji muttered.

“huh?” A man from the gang said and looked behind.

“What are you kids doing? Go back home!” The man shouted.

“Sorry!!” Seji said, and they ran.

“Gangsters…” Seji muttered as it impacted him a lot.

A few days later. Morning time.

Seji walks into the classroom. The teacher hadn’t gotten there yet.

A naughty kid, who was new threw a basketball on Seji's head. It hit his head and he got angry.

“You can’t see bro?” Seji said and walked toward the new kid.

“Yooo? What’s your problem new dude?” Lesley asked. He was wearing glasses and cap, to sound cool.

“Yeah. Let’s teach him who’s the boss.” Max said.

“Oh, I’m sorry. Did by mistake, Mamma's boy. Why don’t you go home, and drink milk?” The new kid said with a smirk. The new kid's name was Cameron. Everyone was laughing.

The teacher entered the classroom.

“Meet me after school.” Seji said.

School day passed off.

Seji and his gang was waiting the kid outside the school. And the new kid came.

“Yo.” Cameron said.

“What’s your problem bro?” Seji asked.

“Nothing, you came in my ball's way.” Cameron replied.

“Oh yea.” Seji said and punched in Cameron's belly.

“You came in my fist's way.” Seji said.

Cameron retaliated and punched Seji in his face.

“You came in my fist's way too.” Cameron said.

Seji got angry, “What do you think you are..?” Seji said.

“Should we come Seji?” Max asked.

“No. Let me take care of him using that.” Seji said and pulled a cylindrical object out of his pocket and it became a stick.

Cameron tries to punch Seji but Seji used stick.

And Seji again hit Cameron's head with stick. His head starterd bleeding.

“Enough.” Danny said.

“What’s wrong?” Seji asked.

“He's already bleeding, and he didn’t do anything illegal for us to beat him a lot. That’s not what true gangsters do.” Danny said.

“Fine. Because, one day I want to be the greatest gangster of this whole world.” Seji said.

“Yea.” Max and Lesley said.

“What about him though?” Danny asked.

“He barely bled 10 drops of blood. He can walk.” Seji said.

“Oh yea. Some teachers might be in school. Let’s go then.” Danny said.

“Let’s go.” Seji said, and they started walking back.

“See ya newbie.” Lesley and Max said.

“Wait. Why you want to become gangster?” Cameron asked standing up.

“They are the ones protecting this town, I saw with my own eyes, they are real heroes..” Seji asked.

“huh.” Cameron said.

“Just go home you piece of sht.” Danny said.

“Woi, my mom said no cursing till I’m 15. Wait till then.” Seji said.

“My mommy said too.” Max said.

“Mine too.” Lesley said.

“Fine, I get it.” Danny said. Danny lived with his father with whom he would rarely talk, he believed his father was the reason his mom died. His father was a drunkard who would beat his mom often and Danny wanted to be gangster to be avenge his mom, he looked up to gangsters because they had beaten his dad many times. But he wasn’t aware of truth…

While Max, had no actual motivation except the fact he was greedy for money and games. He thought that being gangster will let him have unlimited games and food, While lesley just wanted to be cool.

Though, next day, Seji's parents and his gang's parents were called and Seji was expelled from school. Nobody from Danny’s family came, so he wasn’t expelled. School knew about his situation and Cameron had told that Danny stopped Seji. Max and Lesley were rusticated for a month.

Max and Lesley’s parent didn’t let them talk to anyone, nor they talked with each other, they just went home. While as for Seji, his father Kosuke was already thinking to leave America, and he made the final decision and decided to leave the country and go back to Japan. In hope that his son's manners will get better like before. Seji had told his father that Cameron provoked him by dragging his mother. His father explained Seji that his actions weren’t right and gangsters don't mean being cool they are bad and other stuff, but Seji didn’t listen.

“You know what gangsters do? They kill people that’s not great thing.” His father said.

Seji just ignored that.

They went back to Japan and settled down there. Seji's Japanese was fine, he could do daily talk but couldn’t go deep into stuff.

The rest of 2015 passed peacefully. Seji didn’t cause any trouble for half of the year in Japanese school, but in 2016, his mentality returned after hearing about Yakuza. And he caused some trouble again in school. He beat a kid again, the reason was similar to one why he beat Cameron, the kid had brought his parents and Seji punched the kid again. For that, he was suspended for a week. He would be standing out of class many times for not doing homework or being un-attentive. And just like that 2016 passed. But during 2016, he had only made 2 friends. Who didn’t want to be gangster but were still a bully, but not of that extend and even they stopped bullying later in same year, which is why he was never expelled from school again. Seji was already watching anime when they got transferred to Japan. But at the end of 2016 he became an introvert again and got invested into anime more. He was just passing in exams, and He also gained a bit fat. He didn't liked studying, but he loved games and anime. In early 2018, He started playing online MMORPG. His mischievous activities got lessen, but his parents would hear one or two complaint now or then, they were about his scores rather than his mischievousness though. But, that was also to be changed soon..

*Reina's story.*

Father’s name: Motoyasu Shinzo.

Mother's name: Ami Shinzo.

Authenticity: Japanese, but her mother was half Japanese and half American. In 2012, they moved to Washington.

Brought up in Kyoto Japan. Her Grandfather used to tell her stories about samurais, and Japanese folk tales. She was a silent and lovable child, never caused any trouble for her parents, and also an extrovert unlike Seji. Thanks to her Grandfather, she also got invested in Kendo and martial arts and wanted to learn them as well. Reina started to learn Kendo in 2011. Her childhood had been peaceful, and she had no problems at all. And She participated in Annual Kids Kendo Tournament, which was when they realized something which they should have realized before..

Reina was in left, while her opponent was in right.

She had been practicing for this day from a long time.

“Go Rei!!!” Her mother shouted.

And the referee started match. She tried swinging sword, but her breath suddenly got heavier. She was breathing deeply, and barely able to keep her eyes open. She tried to swing sword from left.

But, her swing was shallow, and she fell onto the ground with that swing.

The referee checked Reina immediately. Everybody wondered what happened. Reina's parents hurried. The staff called ambulance immediately.

She was taken to hospital, and they were told that she had a heart disease, and she should not have much psychical and mental stress.

To which her parents talked and made decision that she won’t participate in any of these tournaments anymore, and they would move to America, to have her a stress free life and also because of her father's work.

“Honey, due to your father's work we will have to move to America.” Her mother said.

“So, no more martial arts…?” Reina asked in sorrow.

“You can practice there, but you won’t be able to participate in any tournament, Reina. It's hard decision, but it’s important.” Reina's father said.

“But I’m fine.” She replied.

“Yes you are, but father's work is more important. Isn’t that right, Rei?” Reina's mother said.

“I understand.” She replied in sorrow.

“You can get other things to play with.” Her father said.

“What about my school friends?” Reina asked.

“We will be in their contact, and visit them once or twice a year as well.” Her mother said.

“And you can always make more friends in America too.” Her father said.

“If it's important for dad I can’t deny.” Reina said.

“Awe that’s a good girl.” Reina's mother said.

And after a few months of preparations, they went to America. At first, they stayed with Reina's grandmother for a few months, and then they moved into a nearby neighborhood.

Her first day in American school wasn’t best. Everybody laughed at her, except 3 girls with whom she went and sat. She became friends with them, and they would stay her friends till the end, namely, Lara, Jessa and Kylie. As for her life it became peaceful, but since she didn’t have many friends and wasn’t allowed to leave home with friends due to her health reason, she got invested in games and watching TV shows, especially Anime.

But one day, she was sitting and having lunch in school that a fat boy came to her.

“Yo, Lingling. I heard you are from Japan. Can you draw some me some anime?” The boy named Garry said and her class started looking at her and laughing.

“I can't. I’m sorry.” Reina replied.

“Oh stop lying I saw you drawing. Look here.” Garry said and showed Reina her notebook, on which she had drawn anime. She did lie to Garry about not being able to draw, the drawing wasn’t great, but she had gotten around to draw something resembling to anime character. Since she couldn’t go out, and would only practice martial arts once a week, she got more into drawing as well.

“Give it back, you fat pig.” Reina said in anger.

“What did you say? .” The boy said and took Reina's lunch and threw it.

“Who are you calling fat pig?” The guy said to Reina.

“Give me notebook back.” Reina stood up, she was scared.

“Here you go.” The boy said and tore her notebook.

And instead of replying she just sat on the desk with her head down and started crying.

“Dude, she's crying. Let’s go." The boy beside the bully said, and they ran from there.

“Stop, crying. They are gone. Come let’s go to teacher.” Jessa said.

“You should have punched him, Reina. You are strong as hell.” Lara said.

“Stop it Lara, let’s report to teacher about that pig.” Kylie said, and they took Reina to teacher.

The bullying didn’t stop there, but she stopped thinking much about it.

She would face health problems often, but they would be fine later on. Her scores were above average but inconsistent due to her health problems. Sometimes she would be grounded for her to improve scores. But, Even though she had bad marks sometimes she still had IQ of 130.

Her English improved well slowly as well. She was bald to speak a small amount of English because her parents being bilingual. But, it improved more later on.

FATE.

17th February 2018.

Seji and Reina both were playing same game from over a month or so. Namely, Anire Online, A VR compatible game and playable without it. Which made with great game.

It wasn’t a new game. First released in 2015. Though, Reina and Seji played at the same time without knowing each other Reina liked to play as an underground player while Seji made his own guild. And just a month from now, they both developed quickly.

Reina was an unbeatable Samurai, while Seji was an overlord Archmage, they both made their unique combo and their player skills were great as well. Reina had lost to only 2 players in history, who were the ones who had taught her how to play. Reina spent most of her time in PvP while Seji spend most of his time PvE, giving him a great equipment and making him strongest Archmage in game as a whole. Nonetheless, he had rivals too, and because he proclaimed as the strongest mage many hackers started hating him.

While, Reina was also hated by hackers, because none of them ever managed to beat then. Making them both over powered players among many other over powered players, and on 18th of March, Seji's sub Master introduced Reina to Seji and invited Reina to guild.

“Oh, Welcome to Guild.” Seji welcomed Reina.

“Thank you!” She replied.

“She is like my sister. She's an over powered samurai bro, try fighting her.” Seji's sub master named Guide said.

“You know I don’t do much PvP right.” Seji said.

“Well, you beat me bro. But try her.” Guide replied.

“Sure.” Seji said and went to the arena to fight her.

And they fought. But Seji barely managed to scratch her HP, while Reina finished the match with 10-0 victory.

“What the heck. Are you hacker or something?!” Seji asked being shocked.

“What do you think?” Reina asked with 'Face with hand over mouth' emoji beside her text.

“I think you are hacker.” Seji said.

“Hahaha, No, I’m not hacker by the way.” Reina said while laughing emoji beside her text.

They started talking about game and Seji asked her questions like how is she so strong and all, Reina explained to Seji that was because of the first people she met who had taught her.

The time started to pass. She slowly opened up to Seji, and they started talking about personal things, like when is your birthday, who is in your family, what you do, and then, one day they exchanged their pictures. Seji was immediately drawn to her while he was a little overweight, not completely, but he was gaining some skin on his bones. But, she instead complimented to Seji, “You look awesome!” She said.

“Eh? I’m sure I didn’t send any old picture, but are you seeing right picture?” Seji asked.

“Of course, you look fine. Don’t worry, I like it.” She said.

“You are just being generous.” He said.

“No, I’m not.” She replied.

“Okay, whatever you say.” Seji said and got a little flustered.

“You didn’t say anything about me.” Reina said to see how Seji reacts.

“You look cute.” Seji said being flustered.

“Just cute?” Reina asked.

“Beautiful too? I guess..” Seji said.

“ I guess…” Reina said, she was just teasing Seji.

“I mean not guess, it's for sure. Okay." Seji replied.

“Ahahah!! I’m teasing you, I like teasing you.” She said.

“Yea. Anyway, where is that picture…

And the conversations became a daily thing in their lives.

They had their ups and downs, one time, Reina blocked Seji by mistake, and they though the other person is angry on them. It was stupid, yet moments like these became the reason they fell in love with each other. Fast-forward to May 19th.

After talking with each other for so long, and telling each other most of the secrets, Reina thought, she didn’t had any secrets left except one, that she had a heart disease.

And as Seji wasn’t proposing her or telling her anything, she felt confused if he really liked her or not. But in truth, Seji was just afraid to be rejected.

And on 19th may, she asked,

“Do you like me?” Reina asked.

Seji's heart started beating faster.

“I do.” He replied.

“Of course you do, jeez, I know that. But, I didn’t mean as a person.” Reina said.

“I do, actually. I just. Erm, I DON’T KNOW!!!” Seji said as he was embarrassed and flustered.

“You do?” Reina asked.

“Y-es, I was afraid that I would get rejected.” Seji said.

“Really?” Reina asked being shocked.

“Of course, how many times you gonna make me flustered?” Seji replied.

“Aw. I love you too then.” Reina said.

“Ermmmm can I call you? I want to hear you.” Seji said.

“NOT RIGHT NOW!” she replied.

“Ehh why?” Seji asked.

“I’m embarrassed and I’m literally blushing in corner of my room. So nope.” Reina replied.

“I’m feeling same.” Seji said.

“But! Before we date. Here are rules you have to follow.” Reina said.

“Wait what.”

“Yep! I trust you but, a guy purposed to me previously, but he insulted me in the front of others so… I rejected him.” Reina said.

“Who was that?” seji asked.

“I’ll tell later. For now promise to follow these rules and only then we will start dating.” Reina said.

“Okay what rules.” Seji said.

“I don’t Want you to hang out with other girls, until they are your sisters I don’t mind.” Reina said.

“Done. Every girl is my sister except you. Except those ahole ones.” Seji said.

“No, jeez, it's fine not like that, and It’s not a contract you dumbass. If I’m going to be with you, I really don’t want to be hurt.” Reina said.

“Okay, noted, dumdum.” Seji said.

“No, you dumdum. And, If any girl tries to flirt with you, I want you to imagine me mad.” Reina said.

“No you, and I've only seen you mad once, but got it.” Seji said.

“Yea you don’t want to see me mad, I cry.” Reina said.

“Ahahaha, that’s the last thing I want.” Seji said.

“No really, I cry and get angry a lot.” Reina said.

“I’m pretty much same. I get mad a lot. I mean I told you about my days in America. Oh boy, they are so cringe, I wish I could change them.” Seji said.

“Everybody is cringe moments as a kid.” Reina said.

“That’s true.” Seji replied.

“Anyway! And third one, you will never leave me and break my heart, because if you do I’ll be really hurt okay?” Reina asked.

“I can promise that with my life. I’ll never break your heart.” Seji said.

“I trust you, okay.” Reina said.

Days passed. And Suddenly, they're addressing each other like, “babe” and other short names. Reina told that her nickname was Rei and Seji loved that name that he called her Rei most of them and still does to this day.

After that Seji’s Marks started improving. His parents didn’t know what happen but his marks started improving. While, Reina was still performing good enough to pass in her studies.

As the time passed, their love deepened a lot...

They would spar many times, but of course Seji would never come close to beating her.

“Awe you are still strong, Dumdum.” Seji said.

“Yeah, hail me as your queen!!” She replied jokingly.

“Ahahaha. Okay only if we can spend some more time in game.” Seji said.

“Shush, fine. Just ask it directly. I’ll sleep a bit late, but won’t you be late for school?” She said.

“No I won't. It’s 6 A.M. right now.” Seji said.

“Okay, babe.”

They made many memories, doing boss raid together and all the fun stuff.

But a thing always bothered Reina, it was the fact that they couldn’t meet in real life.

One day, they we’re video chatting that, which would rarely happen as Reina was afraid her parents might come in.

“It hurts that I can’t see you in real.” Reina said on video call. She was crying, tears were falling down her cheek.

“It's alright, I promise I’ll see you soon. Just let this school end. Okay?” Seji said, even his eyes were teary and was hurt to see her cry.

“Don’t cry now, please? I promise, and I won’t go back on this promise, whatever it takes.” Seji said.

And they would have many times like these, but they would also have good times.

It looked like a there was a balance in their relationship, it was going all good, but then came the misfortune.

On 12th of June, Reina fainted.

A drama happened between Seji and few people. And they said horrible things to Reina, she didn’t tell Seji, but she cried.

They were chatting and she stopped replying. Seji thought that she had fallen asleep as they were chatting, and went to game after sometime waiting for her reply.

Next day, Reina's text came, it shocked Seji's life. The ground had skipped beneath his feet.

She explained that she had heart disease, and she was going to be admitted in hospital.

Seji cried and cried a lot that day while talking to Reina. For first time he felt the pain of how to losing someone, his heart broke. And he cried like a baby.

But they promised that Reina will return and said goodbye to each other. Only few of his online friends knew about this, and one of them was very religious girl she recommended her to pray to god.

Seji took her advice literally and would go to shrine daily at night and beg to god to make his girlfriend well.

“Oh god, please, make her well. Just don’t take her from me, you can take anything else.” Seji would pray like that every night.

At the same time, he went into depression, his Marks were fine. But he wouldn’t talk to anyone. He got social anxiety at the same time and would always cry himself to sleep. His parents had seen him cry a few many times, they wanted to ask him what's wrong, but they didn’t know how to handle it. They asked him if anything is wrong he can tell them, Seji would just reply, “it's alright. Don’t worry.” His parents might had been able to help, but he was afraid that they wouldn’t understand and take his allowances with phone as well.

But, Seji, he loved a person for first time and didn’t want to lose her.

Days passed, weeks passed. In first week of August, Reina's message came, But it was 1 A.M. for Seji, and he couldn’t reply, but when he woke up he read it. It was a picture of Reina's arm with Glucose attached. She said that she will return soon. Seji was happy and cried again. He had become a crybaby from a potential gangster as a kid. His body was losing a little of skin, due to his tension, as he ate less as well, but also did no exercise.

Some more days passed and Seji would keep texting her in hope that she would reply and one day, all texts showed read. And a text was being typed.

Seji looked and got happy, he thought it was Reina, instead the text came, “Who are you"

It was Reina's mother, who stumbled across Seji's text even though they were hidden.

But her mother didn’t read any older texts, all the recent texts were Seji being concerned about her.

Seji replied, “What you mean? I’m Seji.”

“Are you Reina's friend?” Her mother sent a text.

Seji wanted to confirm who she was, so he asked,

“Are you her mother?”

The reply was yes.

Seji again asked how is Reina.

Her mother replied, “She is stable now. Nurse is calling me I have to go now.”

“Take care of her please. Seji wrote.

“We will.”

“Please...”

The texts stopped coming again and Seji just kept thinking about her.

It was painful, he thought to himself, “Should I brea-" but then he would remember the promises he made with her.

“I can't.” He would say to himself, take a deep breath and say, “I’ll wait for her.”

He thought many times to end his life, if she didn’t return, but at the end of the day, he couldn’t kill himself.

A little portion of his heart, when he would go pray to god would be conflicting to him, “There are so many people in the world, then why would she be the one to be targeted?” and then he would remember what his friend said, “God does everything for good, believe in him, she will be alright.”

Month passed, but Seji didn’t stop going to shrine or praying, but he had slowly started to lose his belief.

On 10th of September, at night,

He prayed, “Please make her well…”

A Short prayer, and he went home and would continue to pray.

13th September 2018.

His prayers were answered.

“Babe!! Do I still have right to call you babe? Or have I lost it?” Reina texted.

“Yes, you do. Who else could have it?” Seji said and started pouring of tears of happiness from his eyes.

He said, and they talked for hours. Days became peaceful for them.

Both of their parents were unaware of them being in a relationship, even though, Seji's parents doubted him heavily.

The time started to pass, Seji was grateful to god for that, and continued to pray for a bit more time before he stopped.

But, his fate was filled with ups and downs.

28th October 2018

Reina tried to tell her mother that she had boyfriend.

“Mom, I want to tell you something. I have been hiding this from a long time.”

“What is it, Rei?” Her mom said.

“I-i have a boyfriend.” She said.

Her mother got angry and upset.

“What!?! Call him, where is he? Call him!” Her mom said in anger.

“I can’t.” Reina replied.

“Is he from your class?” Her mother asked.

“No, he's from Japan.” She said, being scared. She had tears in her eye but couldn’t cry.

“Hand over your phone.” Her mom said.

“B-B

“HAND OVER YOUR PHONE.” She said.

“Here..” Reina said and handed her phone.

“No cell phone for a month. Go in your room, and study now.” She said.

“But I –“

“Add 15 days more.” Her mom said.

“But mom...”

“Add 15 days more. 2 months now.” Her mom said.

Reina didn’t speak anything. She had tears in her eye, but just went above in her room and cried.

Later at night, Reina's father was home.

He didn’t scold her directly but asked his wife to make her understand that he’s (seji) most likely to be taking advantage of her, and is probably a middle-aged man who's a pedophile, sitting on the internet preying on young girls.

Their concern was indeed right, crimes against young women were common, so common that many young girls would face them, Reina had also gotten some texts from other people than Seji, but She told Seji, and he got them blocked from her and then he would go to pickup a fight with them, But, none of them ever replied to Seji.

Her mother tried to go into Reina's room, but she had locked and was crying. So, she didn’t open.

Later at night the same day, she sneaked downstairs and sneaked the phone.

She left messages for Seji telling him about what had happened.

Seji was upset about it.

“You shouldn’t have told her Rei.” Seji said with teary eyes.

“I’m sorry..” She replied.

“It’s alright. I’ll wait you.” Seji said.

“Am I hurting you?” Reina asked.

Seji saw the text and got an ache in his chest. He put his hand over his chest and crunched his fist.

“No, you are not.” He said.

“Okay... bye.” Reina said and kept the phone.

And then she again started crying, she stressed herself again, Before she knew she was on floor fainted.

Her parents woke up from the noise and came down running, just to see Reina fainted.

They picked her up and took her to hospital. Doctor performed check up on her and declare she was only fainted because of stress and nothing else.

Her parents got relieved. And she woke up next day in hospital.

She looked around and noticed her mom was sleeping while keeping the head on Reina's arm.

And her father was sitting on a chair sleeping.

“Mom.” She said.

Her mom woke up and noticed she was awake.

“Thank goodness you are awake.” She said.

Her father woke up and came to Reina.

“Don’t scare us.” Her dad said.

A nurse came and called her doctor for Bill.

“I’ll be right back.” Her father said and left the room.

“You love your boyfriend?” Her mother asked.

“Mhm.”

“But, you are hurting him...” Her mother said.

That left Reina in shock.

“You are hurting him. He might be suffering.” Her mother said while crying.

Reina didn’t reply anything, she just held her mom's hand tightly.

“Please. Don't do anything which might hurt you or him.” Her mom said while wiping her tears.

“I understand.” Reina said, and she was discharged.

Meanwhile, Seji was crying at his place.

Just after a week she was given her phone back.

Her parents thought that they had broken up, but she got back, and again texted him.

Seji was joyed to see her texts. These moments deepened their love, and Seji deeply started believing in her. Their love deepened.

There were times when Reina had to be gone for some days, but they were only due to her Marks and nothing else, and she would reply in 2 or 3 days, even if her phone was taken due to Marks.

That she would do by asking her mom to give phone to ask her friends help and use it to text Seji.

This would have made their bond weaker, as they weren’t able to talk daily, in fact sometimes weeks would pass, instead of this making their relationship weaker this strengthened it much more.

They would have little arguments,

“Why you did mission with him?” Seji asked.

“He was ready to help, so, I did it.” Reina said.

“You know that him and I have ongoing dramas? Then why would you party him.” Seji said.

“I didn’t know, I’m sorry...” Reina said and cut the call.

“Sht.” Seji said and started spamming Reina with sorry texts.

Reina called again.

“Hmm.”

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t be angry with you. Forgive me.” Seji said.

“Only if you promise to meet soon.” Reina said.

“Okay, I will.” Seji said and made up.

But, just like that they would make up in sometime rather than letting it drag.

4th December 2018,

It was his birthday, He tried to ask his parents if he can visit America. He was afraid, but he asked anyway.

“Dad, Mom. I want to visit America.” He said at night, during the dinner. It was a special dinner.

“Start collecting money. I’ll put 70%, rest of 30% you have to save, but you have to perform good in rest of high school years.” His father said.

“Works, thanks dad.” He said.

“Don't worry, say hi to your girlfriend from us.” His father said.

“What girlfriend?” Seji said being hesitated and embarrassed.

He hadn’t told any of his family members or friends about his girlfriend.

“Oh, I thought you had a girlfriend.” His father said.

“None.” He replied and started collecting money.

Seji told Reina, later on, and they both were excited, they didn’t have made any plans on how to meet yet, but they knew, it was going to take long before Seji could come. May be a whole another year.

But, time started to pass, Seji was still a firm believer of god and would thank him for saving Reina, until one day..

14th of August 2019,

This time, Seji's misfortune was causing this.

She fainted because of the study pressure.

And this changed Seji's views completely...

She was admitted again, and this time doctors said, “if reports are negative, she won’t survive more than a week.”

Reina’s mother was crying, but Rei heard what the doctor said as well.

She sneaked into bathroom with her phone and texted Seji about it.

“Hey babe. Here to let you know something serious. But before that promise me something..” She said.

“What’s wrong?” He replied.

They started call.

“What’s wrong?” Seji asked.

His voice was shaky.

“First promise me something.” She said.

“Okay.”

“If something happens to me, you won’t do anything to yourself.”

Hearing that, Seji knew this wasn’t going to be a great news and broke down into tears immediately.

“What is it..” He said while his voice cracked.

“If the results are negative tomorrow, i- might not live longer than a week ahahah.” She said.

A silence came.

Seji got mad and was crying at the same time.

“Why are you laughing dammit. I fucking love you, why are you saying you are gonna die. Stop this, if this is a troll right now.” He said.

“Don’t cry... hearing you cry will make me cry as well..” she said as she broke into tears as well.

“Why it has to be you? Out of 7 billion fucking people it has to be you. just why... He(god) already once took you away from me, I don’t want to keep losing you... I don’t want to lose you...” Seji said and cried, but he couldn’t cry out loud, as his parents were asleep.

“I love you, but don’t worry, it will be all fine. God will help us, like he’s always done.”

“No, he won’t. Why the fuck would he try to take away the same person away from me twice? Wasn’t one time enough. I don’t care about him anymore. If something happens to you, I don’t know what will happen to me...”

Reina got angry hearing that.

“What do you mean you don’t know what will happen to you? If you do anything wrong to yourself, I’ll never forgive you.” She said in anger.

“What do you mean? If you die I won’t forgive you and I’ll kill myself, so, you better be alright dammit..” He said as he cried.

She didn’t reply.

“I will come back, of course... but promise not to do anything to yourself if I don’t return..” She said.

“I can’t promise that, just come back and I’ll be fine.”

“I’ll return, but if you have done anything to yourself, just see my wrath.” She said while crying.

“I just... I just... I just love you so much...” He said.

“I love you too. Babe." she said and rubbed off her tears.

"Someone is coming, I got to go, be good to others and stop using f word. See you.” Reina said and cut the call and went back to room as someone else was in bathroom.

The reports came next day, and she told Seji.

“Reports are negative.” She said.

Seji didn’t reply anything. But he felt pain again in his chest.

Just one tear fell from his eye that her next text came.

“I’m joking ahahaha!!! I wish I would have told you on video call to see that face!! Damn!” She said while laughing out loud.

And suddenly all the pain went away from Seji, a smile came, but the tears didn’t stop.

“You idiot. Why would you make joke like that!!” he said as he cried in joy.

They called and talked out things. She told that doctors were mistaken, my heart is getting better after the surgery she had gotten last year, and this was just due to study stress.

“Just a few months, my exams are coming, and after that I’ll be there.” He said.

“Okay, Can’t wait to see you, fatty.” She said.

“jeez, All the fat is burnt out. Thanks to the amount of worried you made me.” Seji said.

“Awee. Love you.”

And just like that, finally peace came in.

Seji stopped believing in god, as Reina had to go away a few more times due to study, and he stopped believing in god. Before she told Seji reports, He thought, “If something like god exists, it’s his fault for giving Reina her disease...”

But after sometime, he even stopped believing in god and thought, "It's her, who have a strong will power and always makes it back, it's not god."

Soon, his Marks even got better. He became topper of his class in some subjects.

December, 22nd, 2019. Nighttime.

Seji couldn’t visit Reina on her birthday. But he finally gathered enough money.

“Rei, I have enough money now!!!" Seji said.

“Really?!!” Reina said.

“Yesss, I’ve booked ticket for 25th.” Seji said.

“Oh my god!! Love you, fatty!!!” Reina said with tears in her eyes.

“Jeez, I have gained a little weight nowadays but it doesn’t mean I’m fat.” Seji said, he was less fat than he used to be.

“Yea-yea, sureeeee.” Reina said.

Someone was knocking on Seji's room.

“Wait someone knocking.” Seji said and cut the call. And went to open the door.

It was his father standing.

“Yes, dad?” Seji said.

His father came in.

“Since you are visiting America, I thought why not have talk with you.” His father said.

“Eh, this is out of blue. We just talked this morning.” Seji said.

“This is not father to son talk. But think of me as a friend.” His father said.

“Jeez, are you going to tell me to be safe from gangsters or anything? Don’t worry I’m visiting America just to see how things are there now.” He said.

“No, actually yes that too but. I have something to tell.” His father said.

“What’s that?” Seji asked.

“I've been noticing you since last year. You have changed. You have become more humane if nothing else. I mean, the day you were crying, I saw you. I was there to give you, your book but I saw you crying, and just turned back. Even though I’m your father I didn't have guts to ask you what’s wrong because let’s be serious. I haven’t really seen you cry like that. I mean I've seen you cry as a kid, when you would get injured, but that was different, so I didn’t spoke anything and let it go, knowing you will manage it. And then I would see you laughing for no reason while looking at phone. I don’t know much how to use phones, but I though, it’s alright young blood. Might be just heat and Then, next second your smile would wear off. So, I want to say, if anything happens you can tell me. I know I’m being late, something might have already happened that made you like this, but if theres a problem come to me.” Seji's father said.

“Y-yes dad. I understand.” Seji said.

“Well, that’s all I had to say. Enjoy your trip, son. I already know about your girlfriend by the way. See ya later.” His father said and left the room.

“What the?!” Seji said to himself being embarrassed.

“Thanks, dad. Maybe coming a bit earlier would have helped more, but this is enough. Finally, everything is working out. Just tomorrow and then I’ll meet her.” Seji said and texted Reina about everything his father said.

She couldn’t immediately reply because she was in class now. So, Seji slept and next morning he saw her reply. He called her and talked as he got ready for his school.

They said goodbye and went downstairs to eat breakfast. After eating, he headed out to school. Birds were chirping as he was heading to train station. His school was in next town.

“It's weird. How a person I've never met in person would mean so much to me one day. We just met in a game...” Seji thought.

And then he recalled,

“Oh sht, today is Anire’s last day. But it will be at 5 P.M so more than enough. Seji said and got a train and went to school. His school was a ride of 30 minutes from train, including the time it took him to walk to school from the station.

He stayed for extra classes and it was 4:30 P.M. now.

He texted Rei and reminded her of the game's last few minutes.

“Rei. Do you remember today is game's last day?” He said.

“Oh, sht I forgot. How much time left?” She asked.

“30 minutes or so.” She said.

“Lets log in.” Reina said.

“You login, and wait me I’ll come in a few minutes when I’m in train.” Seji said.

He went to station but the trains were closed due to construction.

So, he hired a cab to drive him home.

He sat in back seat of cab and started the game. It was 4:35 when he started.

Due to traffic his journey to home was increased to 45 minutes now.

He started texting in game. Seji couldn’t use voice message because he was sitting in a cab, and he didn’t want to bother the driver.

“Awe, we are struck in this traffic it's going to take me sometime before going home.” He said to Reina.

“Don’t worry. Let’s play till then. Its last day we can play this. It’s sad.” Reina said.

“Yea.” He replied.

As they talked time past by. A lot of players logged in that day, it was double the number of players who usually played. But they also logged off first. It was same amount of usual players left by the time clock hit 4:55.

“It was a good journey in this game.” Seji said.

“It was.” She said.

“Goodbye game.” Reina said.

“Yea, let’s wait till servers shut down. I want to see what happens.” Seji said.

“Okayyy. Anyway, how was your day at school?” She asked.

“Good.” He replied.

“That’s good to hear.” Reina said.

“You should have slept, it must be early morning” Seji said.

“I’ll take a nap after this..” Reina said.

And then it came. Last 20 seconds.

Many players spammed Good bye and texts.

Seji’s guildies also did.

10 seconds left. The server started countdown.

The Players started counting down from 10 aswell.

And just at third second. Seji’s car faced an accident. The car broke the side ways of road, and went into side fields.

And the countdown hit to 1.

While everybody was seeing a bizarre message on their screens, “Wear down headset and travel to another world.” Maybe it was their way of saying goodbye.

But, Seji was loosing blood.

Seji's phone was still active and working somehow, His last breath was out, and his last breath was out. People stopped moving and called Police and ambulance.

While other players saw something more bizarre after that.

That day, they saw magic circles and got summoned to a different world...

Including Reina.
