In the small area where they were having the "vacation" there was only one tailor and he wasn't cheap. They made 2 custom orders for their casual clothes and were said to come back the next day. Because it had to be made in a day they had to pay even bigger sum. They still had some money, but when they got back to the city, they'll have to do an other job as soon as possible.

After they ordered them, they walked into the forest and looked for trees, which wood would be good for a mask. They made masks themselves from the ones they found. It was a hard work to cut it into a shape they wanted, but with the help of an object shaping spell, they made it work.

Catherine made a brown mask with a cat face. It looked like she was a cat, with a cat mask on. Joseph didn't know what to say when he saw her. It looked really funny on her.

Then Joseph finished his. It was a half smiling and half grimacing mask, it had white and black colors respectively.

Catherine showed a disgusted face when she saw it.

"What is that thing?"

"It's a two sided mask."

"I can see that. But why did you make specificly that?"

"I like the look of it."

"I think it looks awful. Make it sad or happy. But both?"

"I think it's better. If I make it smiling, it would be really creepy. If I make it sad, that's just too sad. So I make it both."

"That's a twisted logic..."

"Maybe."

Next day they spent relaxing and in the afternoon went to retrieve the clothes.

Catherine had a yellow dress, which looked like a rose and the tailor also out a yellow rose into her hair.

Joseph got a very basic suit, pants and bought a pair of black leather shoes. He felt like he was home going to work, it was very weird, but familiar at the same time. Not like Catherine, who could barely walk in the dress and was speaking about how she hated it.

After that they went to the mansion of the Phoenix family.

They went there half an hour earlier, but they knew it was better going sooner than later. At the gate four guards were checking everyone entering. They showed their invitations and entered to the garden.

A road lead to mansion from the gate. Midway there was a fountain with a phoenix bird on the top of it and water came out of it's mouth. On each sides of the road there were red and yellow flowers. Behind them a big open place with evenly cut grass.

The whole garden was huge and the mansion wasn't small either. It was a two story building and was just as big as three houses built next to eachother.

On the left side of it the lights were lit inside, while the right side did not looked like it was used for the event.

When they reached the two winged door, they met up with two more guards and Jordan. He bowed to them as they greeted him.

"Thank you for coming. Please follow me, I'll lead you to the room where the party will be held."

They followed him inside and saw the first room. It was a big open room with various paintings on the wall, red carpet on the floor and mahagony doors in each direction.

They went through the first door on the left. It lead them to a hallway, which looked similar to the room before, the only difference was that it was narrower. Only three or four people could stand next to eachother.

They walked through and went in an other door. This one lead to a giant room, the top of it was the upper floor's top and it was decorated with golden chandaliers, which lit the room up in a pleasent and warm light.

The ground was covered with an other red carpet, but it had a golden phoenix on it, in the middle of the room. On the edge of the room, left to the door they came in were tables filled with food. On the left side and opposite side of the room there were windows with red curtains on them. On the right side there was a staircase leading up and then it split up in the middle to the left and right, until it reached the upper floor.

Next to the staircase there was a platform with a band on it. They had all kind of musical instruments and were playing a pleasant and slow music at the time.

There were only a few people standing at the table yet.

"The event will be held here. Please wait here until Mr. Roland arrives."

Joseph turned back to him.

"Thank you Jo..."

The door was already closed and the butler left them there.

"I see... Still a strange man..."
