As joseph got to the base of the stairs the dwarf looked at him.
"Ah! Your friend is awake! Welcome to the Drunken Dwarf my friend!"
"Thank you? It's a nice place."
He laughed.
"I don't get that much."
He lit a pipe and started smoking.
"I was kind of suprised when I saw my old friend coming here with a boy flying behind her."
Joseph was supprised.
"You know Catherine?"
She shrugged.
"He was a young dwarf who I met with around a hundred years ago. He was lost in my swamp and I helped him get through the place."
"Yeah. She was really nice."
Joseph reached out with his hand.
"I'm sorry, but I forget to introduce myself. I'm Joseph Smith."
The dwarf grabbed his hand. He had a sturdy and hard gripp.
"Usac Stoneskin at your service. I'm the owner of this establishment. Just ask me if you need anything."
"I'll take you on your word."
Usac turned to Catherine.
"So what is your plan now?"
"As you said the we can't reach the guy. We'll need to figure out something."
Joseph was suprised by her.
"Who do you want to reach?"
"Your friend. He got thrown into jail for beating up a nobleman."
"Really? That's pretty bad."
"Yeah. He got sentenced for 30 years. I don't think we can get to him."
"Then what are wo going to do?"
"I don't know. Do you want to bust him out of jail or something?"
Joseph laughed.
"You say it, like it's easy. But I'm not even sure if I know that guy."
"Sure."
"We could ask around if we could get him out somehow legally."
Usac coughed to have their attention.

"There is a way you can get him out. Actually more ways."
He puffed out smoke.
"One way is to pay for the sentence in money, but because it was a nobleman he angered, it will cost thousands of golds. Other way is to somehow have the favor of someone, like a high positioned noble, or someone with a high position in military bring him out. This might be easier, or harder. Depends on who do you want to work to."
Joseph scratched his head.
"Do you know anyone who would be easier to get on our side?"
Usac took a deep sip from his pipe.
"Easier, huh? I'm not sure. It is easier to reach the captain of the guards, but his jobs are usually insanly hard. I think he would just send you to the fort to help out in the battle for this favor."
Catherine shook her head.
"No. That's not gonna be any usefull for us. Maybe we should get close to one of the nobles. It might take some time, but still easier, then to fight in a war."
"True."
They sit there and spoke about the different noble houses for a while, before heading out.
"So we have the house of Phoenix, Marner and Foln. These three are easier to access and they usually have jobs in adventurers guilds."
As they left the tavern, they found themselves on the streets os Krishmar. The road was wide enough for two carriage to go on each side. It was made from cobble stone and the houses were made of similar materials. There were post lights on the side, which possible illuminated the city for the night. A lot of people from different races were busily moving around. Catherine looked around.

"We are in the western part of the city. The nobles live in the northern part. That place is divided from here by a wall and only people with necessary papers can enter. But the advanturers guild we are looking for is also nearby. It is built next to the wall."
"I see. How far is it?"
"I would say, it will take an hour at least to get there."
"Alright. Let's go!"
They walked through the city. The place had stores, houses, taverns and all kind of buildings. Some districts looked like housed elfs, dwarfs, beastkins and other kind of creatures more, then the others. They had different looks as well. It looked like the places differentieted by the people living there.
After an hour of walk they got to the place they wanted. It was called the Ugly Orc guild. The place was really big. It had 3 stories and it was wider then any other buildings they saw in the city. As they stepped in, they saw a tavern like room filled with different people eating, drinking and speaking. Noone looked at the door as it opened. But there was a group who just started fighting. The plated and tankards flew in every direction.
One of them flew into a big guy, who was over 2 meters in high and bulged with muscle. As it bounced off of him, he stood up and shouted at them.
"You wanna fight? Then get ready for a beatdown!"
He jumped into the frey and beat up most of the people in there. Meanwhile Catherine and Joseph walked in not minding their behaviour.
They walked to the bar, where an elven woman was serving different drinks and foods from the back of the place, where the wall was open and a kitchen was visible. They sit down at the bar and she turned to them.
"Welcom to the Ugly Orc! What can I help you...?"
Just before she could have finished the sentence a tankard flew over and hit her in the head. She stopped and looked at the fighting people.
"Excuse me. I have to do something."
She walked out from the bar to the fighting group. She looked really calm and collected, but her voice was different.
"Excuse me! Could you stop fighting? If you want to fight, walk outside and do it there. Or you want me to take you out?"
Her voice was really deep and intimidating. it echoed through the whole place. All the people who were fighting stopped and looked at her with white faces. After a few seconds one of the guys finally got himself together.
"We are very sorry Ms. Emilia! We'll take everything back to it's place!"
The people who were fighting suddenly started to clean up. They were working together, like there was no fight just moments ago.
Emilia walked back to the bar and turned to Catherine and Joseph once again, with a smile.
"So. What can I help you with?"

Ebony Chitin - Eclipse
Richard Adams is something of a talented alchemist. One of the few magical professions that have anything to do with some kind of science. Everything was going swimmingly, until the 'cold night' incident happened. With it being determined as his fault, that such a thing happened. He was promptly exiled until he could return to Eclipse with a new 'discovery' for his field. What he didn't expect; was that he'd run into a strange humanoid monster that could seemingly heal any life threatening wound in a matter of seconds. Certainly this would be what he needs to become a master alchemist. The first step on a multi series journey. Please excuse the earliest chapters and their poor grammer. Ebony Chitin follows Richard Adams, and Mimi on their Journey to understand each other and the world around them. Due the the exploratory nature of such a claim, it will cover many different topics. This was my first attempt at actually writing a story, and because of that I will not edit it. I'd suggest reading the second part as it comes out as most of the things within this book will be recapped. Though if it becomes popular I hope it might inspire some of you readers to write your own stories. Cover Art by Rose Dragon
