They stayed in the inn for the night. They put together the map they got and the one they bought and found out that one of the people they found with the badge was in the next town a day on cart from the village. They searched for someone who was going there and got free rides for guarding the guy who was transporting goods in the town.

"So you two are travellers? Where are you from?"

"We came from the southern part of the continent. We are travelling to learn new magical incantations."

"Oh I see. I though you are on honeymoon or something."

They looked at eachother.

"No sir. She is my teacher. We're searching for other magicians like us."

"There aren't many of them around here. As far as I know there is only one in the town we are going to. Also he is a really strange one. Around week ago he just appeared out of nowhere and help the people with some goblins. After that he stayed and became the doctor in town."

"That seems interesting. We'll definetly meet him."

They arrived at the place before nightfall. There weren't any problems on the road. The town wasn't that different from the village, it was only that it had a lot more houses and people living there.

"My cousin lives here in town. I'm going to him for the night. The inn is not far from there I'll dropp you off there."

"That would be good. Thank you."

They said their goodbyes and entered the inn. It was a lively place filled with all kinds of people. There were tables and chairs all around the main hall. A barwith a muscular man behind was on the other end of the place, next to it was a staircase leading upwards.

As they started to walk in a guy tried to trip Joseph putting his leg in front of him, but he walked like he didn't even notice it.

'What a trashy trick. So many people did this in my school, that I can't even trip from it.'

The guy stood up from his table. He was a large man with a mustache. Drunk and angry because he couldn't insult Joseph.

"Hey! Hey! Hey! A fresh meat and he is not even introducing himself?"

He walked up to Joseph and grabbed his shoulder.

"You walk around with such a beauty and don't even let me play around with her?"

Joseph turned around and looked in his eyes.

"You don't want trouble. Just sit down and drink. If you don't do that I can't promise youre safety!"

The whole place got quiet. Everyone was looking at them, but the guy just laughed.

"You little man has courage I like that! But that's not enough!"

He pulled his right hand back for a punch, but when he tried to hit Joseph, the bartender grabbed his hand pulled him to the door and threw him out.

"No more drink for you tonight! Go home and sleep!"

The bartender walked back to his bar and everyone continued to drink, like nothing happened. Joseph and Catherine walked up to the bar.

"Thank you mister..."

"It's Felix. And you have nothing to thank me. Instead I thank you that you have not trashed the place."

"Hoh? What do you mean?"

"Your friend looked like he would've killed Claus if I wouldn't have stopped him."

Joseph looked at Catherine and saw her eyes glowing blue.

'Right. I'm so used to it I always forget that she can look scary.'

"No problem."

The bartender grabbed a cup and started to clean it.

"So what can I give you?"

"We want two rooms. Also give me an ale."

"I want a cup of wine."

"Alright. A jug of ale and a cup of wine."

They drank in peace for a while and the bartender served other people as well. The night went by without problem. Around midnight the place started to go empty and the bartender sit down next to them.

"Another good day done."

"Good job!"

He laughed.

"Noone says that nowadays."

"And why is that?"

"Mainly because there are a lot of problems happening. The goblins, other abominations showing up. New diseases happening. But thankfully Caleb showed up. He is a really good doctor so there aren't any dead people, but if he wasn't here I don't know what would've happened to this place."

"Caleb? You mean the elf who just showed up out of nothing?"

"So you've heared of him?"

"Yeah and I think I know him, but I'm not sure."

"That is supprising. How is that so?"

"We worked at the same place earlier on. But I might not know him personally."

"I see... I'm Herold by the way. Nice to meet you."

"I'm Joseph and same here."

"I'm Catherine."

"So you said he just show up? That is strange."

"Yes. There was a battle with goblins outside of the town and he just showed up in the middle of it. He massacared the goblins with magic we've never seen. Then after it was done he was very confused, but we let him in the town and he started to work as a doctor."

"I see. Can you give us directions where can we meet him?"

"Yes ofcourse. But do you mind to tell me why did he appear here in so suddenly?"

"I don't actually know the reason, but I know that there was a magical misshap. I got near here the same way like he did."

"I see."

They spoke for a while before they turned in for the night.
