Chen Yi narrowed his eyes in suspicion but decided to not investigate further and decided to go to a special cultivation room to aid his cultivation.

He meditated and decided to explore his dantian. He found that 2 distinct forces were occupying his dantian. The first was a very fickle power and it aggressively dominated the other power. The second, meek power was very vacillating. After examining both powers, he resolved that the first power was the one that he received from the dragon god and that the second power was the one he received from the system.

He exclaimed in surprise that the power he received from the system was so weak against a power from a god, that he had not fully explored and cultivated in the first place. But the system had started to say,” It's because you are still level one in the system, for even a god's waning power is still powerful compared to a system at level one. Once you reach those higher levels, any god's power would simply be grains of sand compared to your power.

“Grains of sand, huh. Well, we’ll see how far the claims of yours will go. I hope that when the time comes, I won’t find your statements to be brags or false claims due to pride, with all form and no substance.” Chen Yi replied.

The system did not respond. With the silence, Chen Yi continued exploring the prowess of the forces inside his dantian. Last time, he found that he could control the weather. He also found that he could harness the defensive properties of water. He longed to test a hypothesis: If he was to be fighting above a body of water and he utilized the skill, could he potentially create an X amount of shields, with X being the volume of water in the body of water divided by the amount of water needed to make a shield to protect him?

Then he thought to himself, “if I could do that, in theory, won’t I be the ultimate warrior? If my hypothesis was correct, I could fight anyone and everyone. If the people who had forced me to end myself were to see me now, how would they feel?”

After I finished thinking about it, I started to see if I could utilize the powers even further. I tried to separate the powers from fighting, but I was powerless to do so. Whenever I persisted, I received a backlash and got severe migraines as well. As Batman once said, turn a disadvantage into an advantage. I attempted to turn my disadvantages into my own advantages covering my weaknesses along the way.

I began to aid the powers in their fight for domination. Somehow, as the system stated, the power of metamorphosis did not lose out to the god’s power. Each had its strengths and weaknesses. For example, the god’s power was great at medium and short-range but it was terrible at long range at least at the stage where it is now. However, the system was great regardless of range but it could not hold out for long against the divine powers, hence its current state…

Chen Yi decided to help the system out this time, instead of trying to break up the fight like a teacher. He applied pressure at all sides of the god’s power, but he was just swatted like a fly. He decided to change approaches, this time using the fact that the god was horrible at long range. He used long-range attacks to infuriate the god’s power. As dragons were one of the most prideful creatures on earth, his attempt was successful. The force was too angry to care about the system’s power, which it had been abusing, and instead opted to fight me. Seeing its chance, the system’s power used its most powerful attack, wounding its opponent severely.

The surprise attack took away at least 40% of the divine power’s might for the time being, which in turn caused the god’s power to falter and surrender. Finally fulfilling its duty, it started to shape itself to the needs of the system. The system could now use the god’s power to its will, but the strength it could employ was still severely inhibited by the fact that it was still only at the first level. Realizing this, Chen Yi allowed the two powers to fuse. By giving both forces an equal amount of power, a huge change erupted in Chen Yi’s dantian.

He felt something unlock within him. Something that he could barely probe and touch before. But now, he could have access to the power hidden within him. He felt the size of his dantian increase and then felt a lot of power gushing within him. He heard the system's voice but it seemed that it had matured a bit more. Comparing it to before, the voice previously sounded like a child undergoing puberty to a more adult-like voice.

Ignoring the system’s congratulatory message to him, he checked out the interface, seeing what changes had occurred. He found that he had unlocked a new power by upgrading the system.

As Chen Yi checked his statistics he saw 2 new abilities, one which was the Appraisal skill. When he hovered over said skill in his mind, he found the following description: The Appraisal skill is a special and unique skill that allows the host to know some statistics of those with a similar power level to you. Cultivators with a realm that is one or higher than what you are currently at cannot be appraised for the system. Note: objects may also be appraised for the following statistics: Durability, increase in users strength when wielded, name of the item, and its level.

The second skill he found was power transmutation. Chen Yi suspected that he gained the ability when he had forcibly combined both the system and the king of dragon’s powers. Once he checked the ability out, his expression turned into one of a shock for it was a very mighty power.

The description was the following: This is a new skill that can be used to combine two or more skills together but is limited by the level of the host.

This unlocked limitless possibilities once he upgraded the skill to its max. He could cause literal mushroom clouds with every skill he combined and unleashed. The sky’s the limit for him. Or in this case, his energy was the limit.

As Chen Yi was about to go to bed, content with his day’s work, he heard a knock at the door. His father’s servant opened the door and told him, “please come to your father’s house for the Lord has called an emergency meeting.”

As the servant left, Chen Yi started to leave that was when he heard a voice in the room next to his. The familiar voice said in contempt that his father, Chen Hao, had grown senile. So much so that he could not be allowed to lead the clan any longer. As soon as Chen Yi heard that he started to act like he had not heard this but he knew who was behind that particular door and left for his father’s house, smiling.
