《Emperor Of The North [Dropped]》Chapter 9: Do dungeons have great loot? pt.1

Goblin activities around my turf significantly decreased after I killed the hobgoblin, but I am still suspicious of something. A monster weak as that could not be a threat.
It was either a wrong warning or something stronger decided to spare my life by not intervening with the fight. Either way, I learned that goblins are much higher in numbers. I still don't know the exact numbers.
This forest is a shit hole. Wolves, draugrs, skeletons, and goblins, these four types of monsters, are the main factions in the turf war of this forest.
From time to time, I see groups of different factions killing each other for more territory. That might explain why not a horde of creatures raided my cave and killed me while I am a pain in their asses. They have things more important than me.
Now moving to today's topic, I am ready for an adventure. I learned much as I can from the Voice about the concept of dungeons. "Deep caves or ancient man build objects infested with hostile creatures and treasures, a delight for adventurers.
For a humble old me, trying to understand what the hell is going on, it is only a place where I can gain some gear and achieve some feats for some rewards.
Especially the rewards, I can feel myself getting stronger. After all the hunting, running, and fighting I did, I already got close to my prime. Now, with the reward I got for achieving a feat, I reached my prime physical condition.
I don't care about other people and why they explore the dungeons, but I am happy because I finally found the dungeon's entrance. It is nothing fancy.
A metal double door, with some gravings, placed on a cave's entrance. The door is not locked because it is slightly open. I suppose something entered before me, but inspecting around. There is no sign of other creatures other than me.
"Voice is it possible for you to give me some details about this dungeon, any traps, what type of dungeons are inhabited inside, don't miss anything." Voice is a guideline that appeared inside my head. It allows me to understand how this world works.
As usual, a screen appeared in front of me, it is still a weird thing, but I am getting used to it.
[Name: The Skeletal Dungeon.
Amount of floors: Unknown.
The type's of monsters inside: Unknown.]
I cannot say it helps me all the time, but even that amount of knowledge is enough for me.

I dropped my makeshift spears outside with the daggers I've been carrying. "Only blunt weapons and my short sword."
My food and water supplies are enough to last me for two days, but I lack medicine, which is a big problem. I need to find a fabric or something similar to craft rugs for stopping possible bleedings.
"And I hope I will found what I need in this place." I pushed the door. "Here I go."
*****
The dungeon was not the thing I expected. It is a very long corridor with some forks once and then, coming to its architecture.
While the dungeon only looks like a regular cave in the entrance, its inside is more like a human-made place. Walls made out of stone bricks and inside being illuminated by glowing crystals used instead of torches or candles.
Banners placed with a fixed distance between each other are also an extra but a good touch.
"Coming to the enemies, skeletons, lots of skeletons. Like the three of them standing in front of me." My pole hammer is ready.
I decided to be the first one to approach this time. The first skeleton did the same thing as me and got into the reach of my weapon. I slammed the beak (the back part of pole hammers used for penetrating armor) towards its head.
Beak got stuck on his skull, so I pulled the weapon back while pushing the skeleton back with my leg. More pieces broke away, and it collapsed to the ground.
The other two skeletons rushed towards me at the same time. I blocked the first one's attack and pushed it back, and kicked the other one in the chest.
I swung my weapon sideways and hit the skull of the skeleton I kicked. Hammer damaged its head a bit. I continued my attack by turning my polehammer 180 degrees and striking the beak towards the crack. Beak penetrated the skull and scattered some bone fragments around.
I pulled the hammer out of the skeleton's head, more pieces of bone scattered around. I turned towards the last skeleton. It almost reached me, so I thrust the tip of my weapon towards its eye socket.
Skeletons are pretty light. So I can lift them with ease. "Try to hit me now," I said to the skeleton, which I raised to the air using my pole hammers tip. "Enough playing." I slammed it to the ground, and before it had the chance of getting up, I stomped his skull.

I left the skeletons and their equipment there. I can always come back and scavenge them.
*****
After another thirty minutes of walking, and I crushed another group of skeletons. Five of them tried to charge towards me at once, so I scattered them around with two powerful swings of my polehammer.
I smashed one skeleton's head with a powerful slam and another one's neck with a powerful horizontal strike.
Three others managed to get on their selves, right after I killed the first two. I charged towards them, skewering them with the tip of my weapon and slamming them to the walls until I broke their heads.
My encounters with skeletons are constantly getting easier, and I am not happy with that.
"I wanted a challenge, and all I got was these bone bags" I smashed another skeleton's skull towards the wall.
Another skeleton tried to stab me from the back, but I grabbed its hand threw him towards another group of skeletons, knocking them. "Strike! I am better at skeleton bowling than normal bowling."
I dashed towards the knocked-down skeleton group and began crushing their skulls, either with my hammer or by stomping their heads.
After I finished the skeletons, I began moving deeper into the dungeon.
"I am getting bored. It is even worse than listening to the drill sergeants talk for a whole hour." It reminded me of one of my memory from military high school.
When I was in the first year of military high school, some juniors decided to do something undisciplined and pick someone from the first year and show that unlucky kid who is the boss.
They did something extremely unacceptable. The poor kid they choose had the job to carry the ceremonial flag. Our countries flag. Juniors thought planting a paint bomb inside someone's wardrobe was a funny thing.
The thing they didn't know was, the ceremonial flag given to us was inside that wardrobe. I and the kid commissioned to carry the flag, with a supervisor, went to get the flag before the ceremony day.
When we opened the wardrobe, the paint bomb exploded. It ruined our clothes, but that was acceptable, there were thirty minutes till the ceremony.
But the flag. Oh, that's something no one can accept. Supervisor grabbed both of us and called every student outside the ceremony area.
He showed the ruined flag and began screaming. "Who is responsible for this!" No one talked. We didn't know it was juniors back then.
But our supervisor might suspect them as three juniors were trembling with fear. He pulled one of them out and asked why he was shaking.
He answered with this. "I am angry. I am angry because of the behavior I saw from the seniors. What did I do to see this unreliable and irreverent generation with my eyes." The asshole was good at lying.
Another drill sergeant that saw the situation from far began shouting towards our class, especially towards me. "How can the son of a family that raised so many heroes for our country can do that!"
I could take his words and try to explain everything if it was only a regular day, but my father was there too, inspecting the situation from far.
After minutes of shouting and one degrading look from my father. My temper began raising, but I hold myself. I wanted to kill both the sergeant shouting at me and the junior who insulted our class, but I did not.
But lucky to me, the supervisor who dragged everyone out came out with video recordings from the same day.
"Sergeant, that's enough. These kids are not responsible for that act." With a tape on his hand, he moved to the ceremony area. "Seniors are not responsible, as I said before, and I know whose are." He turned him towards the junior class.
He grabbed the kid that insulted our class and pulled him in front of me. He forced him to tell the truth, but he began lying again. "Sergeant, sir. How can you believe in these lies? They were trying to frame us!"
I got blinded by the anger and punched the junior to the face, slamming him to the ground, but I wasn't satisfied with only that. I kept beating him until blood came out of his nose. Then sergeants pulled me away from him, and they apologized to us.
It wasn't a good day, but everything ended up happily.
"Alert, you reached the boss room." Voice's warning alerted and stopped me.
I looked at the big iron double door in front of me with spider gravings. "Time for some fun."
