Hao Xu eyes dimmed under the moonlight. With the disappearance of the interface, the only light source was a yellow tint of night-flies above the hallway ceiling.
“Moriarty!” Hao Xu scream on the top of his lung, as if his plan was to tear it apart.

[Dizzy status: 3 Seconds]
A barrage of notification flashed by his side.
“T-This! Commander Moriarty gravity field!” The various soldier were unable to react to the changes to their surrounding as Hao Xu fled in the midst of their groups.
Meanwhile, Hao Xu creeping smile resembled that of a devil offering his hands as his face appeared through the gaps of the soldiers arm.
Moriarty feels amiss when looking at Hao Xu expression.

Immediately, his 12 Skill points plummet down to 0!
“Haha!” Hao Xu aimed his rifled at Moriarty, expending the remaining energy onto this one shot.

Bang!
“Commander Moriarty!” The soldiers cried out as they attempt to move. Because of the Gravity Field, their feet took some time to budge, it was too late then.
“Shield!” All Hao Xu sees is Moriarty holding a strange device in the shape of a glove before leaping away.
At this moment, Moriarty held out both arm, with one armed with a strange mechanical device strapped onto his wrist, his face contort as he conjures layers of shield.
The room instantly brighten up. Glass bits scrape by the concrete floor, making a rattle sounds.
Meanwhile, the sound of glass breaking echo across the blinding hallway from the impact of the blue comet bullet contacting with Moriarty Shield.
Hao Xu took this opportunity to pick up another gun laying on the rustic ground covered in broken wires, with a flick of his wrist, he instantly put a hole through the skull of his enemies who were unable to react in time.
He dashes back and forth, weaving in between his movement like a slithering snake. The soldiers gun barrel click-clack back and forth, unable to grasp his location as he moves and shoot.
Coupled with a very steel-like walls that enrapture the battlefield, his movement gives an even more slithery sounds as his movement zigzag like an eel.
With the assist of [Weaponry Efficiency], along with [Nimble Hand], every shot fire, a sound of gushing blood comes flowing.
Although it feels like a long time has passed, this it only took him a mere four second to execute his move since the moment [Focus Shot] was first fired.
“01… I can feel your depleting energy!” Moriarty's body is scrape all over. The left side of his shoulder had a hole the size of a thumb, meanwhile the glove in his hand was tattered through and through.

His pale youthful face is sweaty, with blood dripping through the wound on his left arm and glass bits, this made him look like a maniac.
[You are affect by Gravity Field]
[Decrease movement speed by 40%]
Hao Xu condition was no better as he feels the weight of his famish body crashing down on its own weight. After battling for so long, depleting the leftover energy, he could barely lift the tip of his finger.
His elbow rested on top of the rifle stock, with the barrel facing the body of a dead soldiers, Hao Xu managed to support himself as he barely stands on his feet.
The place already turned to shamble, bits and pieces of battle scattered from the inner hallway all the way to the entrance.
“Moriarty, I doubt you can chase me with a wound like that. Even without energy, I can still put a few holes through your body!” Hao Xu could see the struggling Moriarty with his one eye open, as his other eyes was blocked by the dripping blood of his wound. His clothes were already tattered to pieces.
Bang! Bang!
Once again, Hao Xu pulled the trigger, letting out two angry pieces of metal chasing after Moriarty.
With no choice but to cancel Gravity field and let Hao Xu escape in order to block the incoming projectile, Moriarty grind his teeth back and forth in crazed.
Upon firing the last two shot, the weight on his body instantly lighten. He rolls behind him, facing away from Moriarty since he was already standing at the entrance.
All the soldiers already died… What’s left is an injured Moriarty and a few docile researchers, all he had to do now was run!
The escaping Hao Xu left Moriarty in a helpless situation as he at the hole in his shoulder. Conflicting thoughts still plagued his mind as he looks at the mess left from the aftermath.
He paused for a moment and took a deep breath. After a few minutes, another wave of soldiers appears by his side.
“Send a group of High Grade D hunter after him! If he’s dead, his corpse needs to be retrieved, if he’s alive, I want to see him back here! Send out a bounty reward to the Black Market!”
“Yes sir!” The wounded group of soldiers salutes, not daring to dawdle.
After all the personnel left, Moriarty found himself standing atop the room that is now in shamble, with broken wall and flicking wires and the sound of electricity fuzzing.
“I must report this to the leader… The first case of Stellar produced from the vial is of utmost importance.”

Binary of Life and Death
Monsters, gold, chaos, glory, adventure, what more could attract two of the greatest players of all time to Sugarea, the most popular MMORPG of its time. But everyone makes errors, and unfortunate for these two brilliant players, they have made the grave mistake of not actually sleeping like normal humans and missed out on the very moment the new Dark Legion update would take effect. Or did they? They wake in what seems familiar yet not, but they soon realize their predicament. They are inside their game avatar's bodies! A half-Demon and a Dragonoid are now struggling with more than just power, these two men have to find their new purpose and calling in a completely different world. Will they concur it like ordinary land or will they enlighten the planet into equality? Do figures pull strings in the dark or is everything open to the public eye? Nothing is certain except the unknown, and nothing is ever as it seems... This is an Isekai story, as such, some parts may sound either cliché or similar to others, but I assure you, I tried to prevent that. To make it known, I took quite a lot of inspiration from the light novel/anime Overlord, but that doesn't mean it's a direct rip-off of it. You'll find there to be quite the amount of differences. Just a little heads up as well, you should expect irregular uploads, as it takes me a long time to write each chapter. I am currently trying for once every other week on Sundays around 10:00 A.M. Chapters are usually 7k words and up, with the longest (chapter 3) being 10.3k words. So, if you like to sit down and read a long chapter every two weeks at 10:00 A.M. EST on Sundays, then you can waste your time here! Small disclaimer: Profanity is far and few between, and mostly used by side characters, rarely the main character. When something with gore happens, I describe to the best of my ability, which will only get better the longer I write this... :) Small cuts between perspectives happen, and can hide what some characters do, which will be revealed in future chapters, I'm not that lazy... all the time... There are some parts that are long blocks of text, most, if not all, of them, are characters talking, but I try not to info dump. I know one of the tags says "Psychological", and for the most part, it is, but it's not as prominent as other stories, instead, it's more hidden and scattered, but I did try to make the pieces I did reveal all fit together. Cover art is bound to be changed when I have a good picture to use, so the Yin-Yang is a placeholder for now unless yall wanna gimme something to use *wink wink nudge nudge*. So yeah, please give it a try, as I have nothing better to do with my life, and I am banking solely off of a career in literature and am hoping that I can create a story that can actually be called something more than a child's imagination running wild. The eventual and inevitable end to the story won't be for a long while, at least till chapter 40 or so. I have thought long and hard about the message and themes at play, so I hope you, the reader (who has some amazing hair btw), can enjoy and partake on this adventure with me into my dark empty pit of an imagination.

Sound and Fury - Book 1 of The Rhapsodic Troubadour
Barely average, meek chunk of a human, Dominic, wakes up one day to find that he's been transported to another realm of life, and is being hunted by minions of a Dark God who wants him for... nefarious purposes. This is a LitRPG work in progress. I welcome feedback.

The Paths of Magick
Credits: Story by Xcaliburnt. Cover Art by @Bervolart. Magick, the power to bend the laws of reality. All because of a mystical substance known as mana. Mages follow the Paths to achieve power, for there is no more addictive chase. Each Path winds and twists, forcing mages through the flames of adversity and challenge. Though the operative word is "path", the reality is far less straightforward. Instead of a road, Paths are like the branches of world trees, erupting into the heavens, intertwining, and ending in sharp snaps. Only the strongest reach the sky. There are several Paths, and many Ways to walk them—variations of the same Path, and like the stars, they are endless. Magick is the sacred flame that scours the fat, rendering the truest self. Superfluous flesh melting away to show the skeleton of one's being. A chance for ascension—apotheosis. Though not every mage works to godhood, if they survive long enough, It is inescapable. Witness the lives of those that tread the knife's edge of self-destruction. Each one intertwined in their search for answers, revenge, and, most of all: power. These individuals have all lost something precious—irreplaceable—and In search of filling the void left behind, they have taken up the mantle of a mage. Per aspera ad astra. Ad mortem vel divinitatis. (Through adversity to the stars. To death or divinity.) There is no consistent release schedule except my consistent inconsistency. Besides, there’s like a thousand pages worth of content, how can—you already read it? Goddamn. Oh, and there is a very long hiatus between volumes as I intend to edit and rewrite a lot. What to Expect: This story is progression fantasy, so expect a healthy dose of training. It's also heavy on slice of life, and it isn't entirely overarching-plot-driven. Expect characters to live their lives, and not always be on some quest to save the world. There's a lot of magic theory and discussion about it in the story. So, if you don't like impromptu lessons on sorcerous theory by traveling monster slayers, this might not be for you. But if you do like it, rejoice! For there is a lot of it. This is also heavy on prose, purple as a bruised eye. I use outdated, uneccesarily collegiate-level terms and play around with the writing style just for the heck of it. I find it fun to wax and wane poetic, and that might grate on you—I don’t plan to change this aspect of the Paths much if at all. Onto the viewer discretion is advised parts: This is grim-dark/ grim-heart. Take the tags seriously. There will be combat scenes that are brutal and horrifying. Fights to the death tend to be. This is a tale about medieval mercenaries (quite literal killers for hire), man-eating monsters, and eldritch gods beyond the material plane. Beside that, there will be traumatic events that are best left unread. I do not detail certain acts I find heinous enough, instead leaving some parts unwritten but still alludded to if not outright stated; there is simply no graphic narration thereof. This is not for the faint of heart.
