On the upside, people were beginning to read his fanfics. It seems that the system, or whatever it was that tracked these sort of things, registered views daily, and handed out the work points at the end of the day. It isn't too bad, I guess. I can even buy a few rewards to lighten the mood. Maybe enjoy coffee for the day? It doesn't sound too bad. Leo thinks, somewhat satisfied.

Hmm? Suddenly a thought crossed Leo's mind. Wait a second. If I'm going to purchase a human experience, shouldn't it be the single most enjoyable thing that one can experience with a body? Why waste my work points on coffee when I can spend it on… Leo thinks as his eyes widen. I need to call Penelope! He exclaims as he reaches for his phone.

Through sheer power of will his other hand reached out to hold the other. Just wait a second you horny bastard! Can you just relax!? Good things come to those who wait, you bumbling idiot. What’s better than experiencing the natural progression of love, from hugging to kissing, from compliments to whispers in your ear? Just rushing in there is going to waste all that potential! Leo thinks with a slight disdain for himself. Leo takes a deep breath. Alright, I'm cool. I’m cool. He thinks as his breathing calms.

But when the time comes, my finger is going to press that purchase button so fast! Leo immediately decides. Actually, I have to make sure I have enough points for that… Just imagine if I go through all that effort and it turns out I’m broke… That would just be depressing… Leo thinks before he decides to check the price. Leo finds it and he lets out a sigh. 2000 points. It’s pricey as expected. I don’t even have that much yet… I gotta get a job… Leo thinks firmly. That’s it. My job search starts tomorrow. What kind of man settles down without a job anyway? He thinks.

Wait a second… Do I have a work history? Leo thinks with wide eyes before opening his phone.

Leo navigates to the Identity tab of the Black Star app and lets out a sigh of relief. It said he had six years of experience as a Help Desk Analyst. That’s not bad. I can work with that. Leo thinks, satisfied.

Without the need to sleep, Leo fully dedicated himself to his job search. His resume looked pretty and Leo handcrafted a cover letter for each application.

And when Leo wasn’t working on his job search, he continued to wholeheartedly make fanfiction, not even trying to be subtle about displaying his weird fantasies of him and Penelope.

When the pair went out on their next date, Penelope could hardly look the man in the eye. Knowing someone was attracted to you and seeing that lust fully displayed in a fanfiction were two entirely different things, and after Penelope read what Leo had to write, it was hard to even take the man seriously.

But one thing that Leo had going for him was his charm, so Penelope begrudgingly chose to stick around for a few more dates.

In the end, after writing enough fanfiction, Leo was finally able to save up enough for that special purchase, and one day, after a great deal of effort, of honeyed words and gentle touches, the tension had been built, and with a click of a button, Leo was able to release it in a roller-coaster ride of life and love…

“Damn! Are you not tired!? We’re getting close to the two hour mark! I’m exhausted!” Penelope exclaims.

Leo stops kissing Penelope’s body and lets out a bitter smile. If Leo was being honest, this had been his first taste of life since his three day human experience package, and he was somewhat not in control of all his actions. His soul immediately sensed life when the purchase was unlocked and like a starving man, he continued to reach out for it greedily. And somehow two hours had passed… Leo thinks bitterly. Damn, should have at least spent a little on a few packs of cigarettes. That might’ve eased me into it… He thinks, deciding to plan it better next time.

Leo rolls over and lays on the other side of the bed. He lets out a few heavy breaths, allowing his heartbeat to calm. “Sorry. I got a little carried away. Next time, I’ll try to be gentler. It will be all you, babe. Actually, do you want a little exit service? Something to ease yourself out?” Leo says with a smirk.

Penelope lets out a blush. “Okay. But don’t make a sound and hide under the blanket. I want to pretend I’m being serviced by a ghost.” She says with hot cheeks.

Leo lets out a loud laugh. “Whatever you say, princess.” He says, amused, before diving into the blankets.
