As I leave the room, I scan the market for Whiskey. My eyes widen as she pokes my shoulder, "Eek!" "Surprise." I turn around, "Nick's got a plan- Well, a pre-plan." She shrugs, "Spit it out." "We need an army, equipped with fire weapons." She stares off, "Let's secure that army, then. C'mon." She hands me a pistol and some generic clothing. "Why all this?" "You gotta blend in. A vest makes you stand out."
She smiles and tucks an SMG in the back of her pants and pulls the baggy shirt over. I can't help but gawk as she slides a small pistol in her pocket and a 38 magnum down the front and tucks the shirt over. You can't even see them! She does a little twirl, "You see any guns?" "Uhh, no." She smiles, "Go on, I'll wait."
After getting on the clothes, I slip the gun in the front. I leave the doorless stall and twirl in the cracked mirror. I walk out and she checks me out. "Good, now follow me." She leads me out of the market and into the car. "Where are we going?"
The engine starts and she reverses out the barren lot. "You'll see." A couple miles later and we hear a sudden flapping outside the car, "No, no!" We pull off to the side and she pops the trunk before getting out. I get out as she kicks the wheel and lets the whole world hear her, "Fucking bullshit! What fuckin' idiot has a jack, but no tire iron?!"
She quickly looks at me as my voice shakes, "If only we had Norbert." She turns away and kicks the wheel again, "Ugh, don't remind me of

that stubborn, perverted piece of shit! He left just when shit got tough, like always!"
I wake up and rifle through my pockets for a lighter. I get off the train's floor and light a cigarette. As I look ahead of the train, I struggle to grab the on switch. Beach, Friends. Beach, Friends. I close my hand and smash it down, "Don't say I never sacrificed anything, Whiskey." Tremors come from below. I quickly open a window and throw the cigarette out of it.
I fumble through my bag and take out the flare gun case. The tremors get stronger as I open the case, only one round left. "Fuck." I peek out the window and it's a train on the track over. I quickly get down and load the shell in. I pull my bag close and get a shotgun out as it passes. It whistles as cargo containers pass by. I sigh as it finally passes.
I peek out and a soldier stares right at me. He slowly smiles as his hands develop black claws. "Fuck." I crouch through the door as the man leaps through the cockpit's windows.

The Heart Grows
Dungeon games? Yeah, they're a good way to waste a few hours. The trick is to know the map and plan appropriately. Of course, it doesn't matter if you get beaten. You revise your plan for that map and do a bit better next time. Man, it'd really suck to wake up as a dungeon heart in a fantasy world you know nothing about, barely able to even work out how to control your dungeon. Lucky that wouldn't happen to anybody, huh? What with only having one chance at getting things right, you'd have to plan extra-defensive. This story should be getting chapters published weekly. I have a comfortable buffer set up and on top of the weekly writing I am committing, a commissioner has donated two monthly writing slots to ensure this remains on a weekly schedule. There will be a stat block at the beginning of every chapter bar the first, and a handy map at the end. All my works come with a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license. This means you are free to download, publish, and even make derivative works of my writing so long as you include this license, attribution, and don't sell the works. Keep it free!

OrcFat
I was reincarnated into another world as an orc, but wait, why am I still fat? This story is about a young man named Robert, who in his previous life was by most accounts an average person, with the exception of his terrible luck, coined by him as 'rough day Robert' or 'RDR'. One day he suffers a seemingly non-fatal injury but as his luck would have it he ends up dying regardless. Through this he has a suspicious encounter with an uknown entity that results in what can only be described as a reincarnation to another world. Despite his apprehensiveness he gives the benefit of the doubt to this weird scenario and accepts it, but to his surprise he wakes up in the body of... an orc? Is this just a sick joke or an adventure in disguise? See how Robert overcomes adversity and rewrites his own story with a new life, one hopefully with more luck than the last.
