"This is why I hate pets!"
Whiskey pulls Norbert up, babying him, "It's not like it wanted to kill you." "Funny."
I walk to the jeep and open the door. Bolt lies there, hugging himself. My heart sinks, "Bolt?" He doesn't respond. I nudge him and he pulls away. I sit next to him and watch the city.
He whines, "Just leave me." I move closer to him, to the point he bangs his head against the other car door. "I wouldn't." He screams at the top of his lungs and the other two come running, "You all should've let me fucking die!"
Whiskey groans, "Bitch, I saved your life countless times. Be grateful!" Nick stares off,
Molly came up to me with face paint on, *Don't hurt the keeper!* I cocked my shotgun and shot her, over and over again in my
head.
"I killed her." He sobs as I pull him up. I stare off and run my fingers slowly through his suprisingly silky hair, "I know." Whiskey shakes her head while she drags Norbert towards the train's cabin. "And you're still here?" I smile, "You couldn't control yourself." He whines, "I was still me! So many innocent lives, taken by my hands." He frowns at his bloody wrist, "Your wrist-" He tears it away and winces, "It's less than I deserve." I drag him by his feet, "We gotta get you a doctor." He pulls on the door's handle, "Fuck off!" The door handle breaks off and I fall backward onto the platform. Nick falls on top of me.
I roll him off and he lets me pull him in the cabin. Whiskey yawns, "Is he done crying?" I flip her off as I lie him down.

"What's the plan?" Whiskey shrugs, "Nothing, we just lost."
"What?!" Norbert checks the tablet, frowning, "We'll need to switch trains at the next station."
Whiskey continues, "We need to get down to North Carolina-" "Wait! We're running?!" Norbert holds his hand out, "You got a better idea?" I lift my head, clenching my fists, "I'm not leaving my home!" Whiskey smirks, "No one's stopping you from hopping off this train."
I throw a fist at her and she catches it, "I've got at least twenty years on you, pipsqueak. Try it again, see what happens." I yank my hand out her grip, "Gah! Nick, you got my back here, right?" He waves, "I don't care anymore. Carolina sounds great."
I lean against the cabin's window, "Isn't Cleveland your home too?"I look off to the wall as it all floods back, "Too many painful memories, Tango."
A doctor marched up to me, "How isn't he dead?" Rollins shook his head, "I don't know." The doctor pointed at my body, "There's bullet holes in his shirt, but no wounds? And then a crushing blow forces us to amputate? Explain that for me!" He shook his head, "I told you, I've no clue."

Thankfully, they make up a negligible number of people, but they can still be incredibly dangerous. Oftentimes, they wind up killing themselves or others when their ability to perform magic begins to manifest, acting as a sort of natural culling process for weavers. However, this was well before the Republic of Sidia realized that the ability to manipulate reality can be reigned in, controlled. So if you had the chance to turn something dangerous into a weapon, why wouldn't you? This is what fate awaits a young man named Emmet. After his weaving manifests and blood is on his hands, he is given a choice: the gallows, or the Esphell Monastery. What awaits Emmet at the monastery? What is this magic, and how can he control it?
