《The Undeniable Labyrinth》Chapter Eighty Two: Better Luck

Althea
When she woke up on the third morning, the first thing she did was turn over under the blanket, reach for Dorian.
“Are they still silent?”
There has been no signal.
She rose from her bed, stretched and collected herself. She could already noises outside, stepped out to see the greggas already at work. The day was darker than the one before, clouds rolling over the city again. They might be rain clouds; it was warm enough.
Obe and Teffa noticed her – turned away – hurried to the lifter. She followed. They didn’t appreciate her joining them on the search the day before, but she decided someone needed to keep an eye on the two, doubted they would try anything if she were watching. The teams had cleared the central towers – they’d need to start checking out the radial sub-centers.
“What makes you think the sub-centers aren’t going to be as empty as what we found here?” Traejan wanted to know.
“The main center here would be an obvious choice for the mechs to strip first,” she told him, the others. “It had the greatest quantity, quality of tech. In outlying areas, there would be much more ground to cover, less reward for energy expended, and still plenty for us to carry back.”
The scavengers seemed satisfied with that. They packed up into the lifter, then took the journey to the southern sector of the city. Unlike the day before, she enjoyed the trip. To her relief, there was still no Macro sign, no trace of construct sightings at all to disrupt their search. All they needed was a few working pieces of the proper technology – that was all they needed – and she would be able to convince them, and Traejan, to continue searching.

In the reddish light of the setting sun they ate Kyso’s food over the lifter’s table, the measure of the day filled another small crate. The greggas weren’t playing along anymore.
“This city has been scraped clean,” Abek Goa complained. “We’re not going to find anything useful here.”
“We aren’t finished searching,” Kyso countered. He’d happily shown her another sculpture Traejan had found him – not exactly what she she’d been hoping for, but she gave him a smile anyways. “The city is still plenty large.”
“Large enough to keep us busy until the constructs come,” Obe started.
“We haven’t seen any of them, nor any recent trace,” Althea spoke up, not wanting the discussion to go any further.
“They don’t always call in their approach,” Teffa offered sarcastically.
“I’m paying you to find tech,” she snapped at the woman. “That is what you are going to do!”
Amek Goa pointed back at the crate.
“And what if that is all we find?” he wanted to know. “Are we still gonna get the tril you promised?”
The group stared at her. Althea glared at Traejan, who glared right back. She looked back at the rest, let out a long breath.
“I said you would be paid – and you will – regardless of what we find here.”
They were still staring at her.
“Is there anything else?”
“Where are we going to go tomorrow?”
She relaxed a little, relieved at the Peca’s cheerful query. Althea leaned over the map, pointed towards an outer sector.
“We’re going to check the facilities over here. Hopefully we’ll find something useful in the lower levels. We’ll have better luck tomorrow, we’re certainly due.”

Brought to the Halls of Beginnings with only a towel to protect his dignity, Joe must get strong enough to climb the tower or die trying. ***** Authors note ***** WoD is my first attempt at writing. It's a little story I've been mulling over for the better part of six months. It brings together elements of litrpg and progression fantasy with a dash of xianxia. If you enjoy a story where the MC must overcome challenges to become strong then you've come to the right place.

Tales of the Implock - A LitRPG Monster Evolution Story
Nyx - A demon, weak and small, too fleeting of a creature to survive the infernal wastes in which he was born - but after multiple brushes with death, the otherwise inconsequential demon experiences a destiny-changing encounter with an unknown and eccentric god, foreign to this world. Cast from the domains of old and conspiring gods to a land of which is sheltered from the divine, beyond the reach of whence they scheme, the impling who soon would come to be known far and wide as Nyx will find a new purpose. Born of Pride, with the fires of ambition fanned and burning deep within, Nyx will grow, learn, and evolve. From a weak and pathetic impling, to that of a mighty arch demon of untold demonic power, nothing would stand in the way of his ascent. Yet, the yearn of power might not be the only thing the power-manic demon will come to desire as he will encounter others who might just matter as much to him as the ecstasy of power does. [Info]This story features a wide breadth of characters with unconventional views, morals, and actions. There is no black and white - there is only grey. In a world where strength rules, notions of good and evil blur. The protagonist of this story is not a hero. He is not human. He is a megalomaniac demon trying to find his place in the world of which he has been discarded. This novel is my first crack at making something serious, a piece of work I can be proud of. It is a part of a bigger universe that I am creating, The Aethos, and I fully intend for this story to be professionally edited, then self-published on Amazon. The novel will continue on for a long adventure, as each arc will be made into a proper book. Therefore I heavily encourage feedback and interaction. Anything to improve my story and my writing is greatly appreciated. Thank you, and welcome to the Aethos. [Schedule] - Five chapters a week. [Discord] - Here

Early chapters are a bit of a mess, but it gets better. If you want to skip forward, I can recommend chapters 19, 26, or 34 as starting points.) Heyo, YJarex here, the Y is silent. The Rejected Royal
"I Logan Smith, reject you Emily West.", I try to smile. "I Emily West accept your rejection.", I try to say in the most cheerful voice, even though I'm dying inside. I still want to keep it inside. His eyes go wide."You accept YOUR rejection? So easily?", woah I was not expecting that. I nod as cheerfully as I can fake.Emily West ran away when she was rejected by her mate. When she ran away with her best friend, they went to the Open Moons pack. They'll just have to see what the Open Moons Pack has to offer.......This story is not edited, yet. (Probably will never edit it... Unless I really want to...)EDIT: Please don't waste your time, this book is honestly trash. I wrote this when I was super young, and inexperienced. I won't delete it, just in case you don't want to heed my warning and you're willing to waste your time. :) Anyway if you do decide to read it, I hope you at-least laugh at how bad and random it is.
