《Artificial Seed》Chapter 7: Spell Weaving

A mad cry similar to an angry animal erupted near Michael. Michael snapped his eyes opened only to see Lyndon throwing a tantrum.
"AAAEEII!" The eight years old boy stomped the ground as he yelled from the top of his lungs.
Michael was once reminded of Lyndon condition. Although not personally, Michael knew other cases that were similar to him from in the media back where he once lived. It was autism, but it seems that Lyndon's case was more severe. He never heard of one that went out of control emotionally in such a way.
Michael regretted not leaving him behind when he saw Lyndon like this.
"Lyndon calmed down! You are going to attract something!" Michael yelled to make Lyndon stop what he was doing but it was for naught. Lyndon started to roll on the ground and pulling on the grasses as his eyes wrinkled with an unknown anger.
'The hell is his problem? Is he hungry or is it because he is really retarded? Whatever the case, I should keep my distance away from him.' Michael quickly analyzed the bizarre situation and decided it was best to avoid him. 'Making me forgo my words. Whatever it is better than being next to a noisy beckon…'
As Michael was backing away, Lyndon saw him and immediately discontinued his yelling. He was afraid that he will be left alone in the woods.
"Uwaaah!" His anger vanished from his face like that tantrum never did happen. He ran next to Michael and gripped his arm like glue. Lyndon did not think about controlling his strength nor think that it will hurt Michael.
"That hurt!" Michael shoved Lyndon with a kick into Lyndon's chest, but that was not enough for him to let go. Instead, both of them fell on the ground. Michael felt the pain from his back to rise causing his face to flush red with emotions.

"Enough!" He squeezed on Lyndon's wrist with his nails that forced Lyndon to let go. Michael stood up preparing to leave but Lyndon just started to wail like he just scolded by his parents.
"Waah! Waaaah!" Lyndon cried.
Michael hesitated and rolled his eyes. He was reminded that Lyndon did indeed save his life and reluctantly stood next to him.
"Get up. Let's go…"Michael murmured.
Lyndon saw this act and smiled widely. The sadden look he had vanished and he got back to his feet.
"Why do your emotions change so quickly?" Lyndon replied by holding Michael's hand.
'Hand holding… by two guys…' Michael felt wronged but when he tried to jerk it away Lyndon grasped harder. Someone might think holding hand between two children will be cute to see but to Michael, it was a disgrace. But all he could do now was to endure it.
"Whatever…Let's go look for some food and we… I… will think of a way to get out of here." With that said, Michael and Lyndon aimlessly walked for hours. Michael did have a plan but instantly rejected it. It was to follow the trail that Lyndon left behind by dragging him, however, that will leave back to the merchant was and most likely to be sold to whomever.
"This suck. I have no clue where I am. Why don't you think of something Lyndon?"
"Uwahhh!" Lyndon said with a smile.
"Great plan…" Michael said sarcastically.
'Wait, I think I hear something.' With a twitch, Michael perked his ears to the direction of the sound. It was rhythmic and yet gentle. 'I think we should head there.'
Michael guided Lyndon swiftly through the green woods as if he knew what that sound belongs to. As they got closer the gentle sound became clearer.

"A river!" Michael was excited, unlike Lyndon. The crystal clear water glittered in the clear river as the morning sun reflected off of it. Michael rushed to the river to quench his thirst with enthusiasm. Lyndon followed Michael and cupped his hand.
"I will go catch some food. Wait here." Michael lifted up his pant's sleeves and jumped into the shallow river. He carefully examined where he stood and then, he placed his palms down to the ground.
He voiced an incantation similar to a monk but with various syllabi. As he does so, his hands illuminated the water into a golden brown glow. The ground shook before a jagged rock shot out onto the surface. He breathes heavy for a bit to catch his breath before continuing on.
Lyndon watched with curiosity as Michael repeats the same action for another six times.
Each spike was wide as his hands and there were small gaps in between them. It was enough to let the water flowed through, but not big enough for a medium-size fish to go through.
After he was done he stepped out of the water to rest and wait for the trap do its job. Lyndon clapped with amazement. Seeing how Lyndon was acting, Michael felt proud.
"You like that? My dad taught it to me one day. He said it is called spell weaving. Well, mine is not truly spell weaving since it does relies on my voice, but a true spell weaver can control the sound in the air to create spells. But I'm sure it is more than that." Michael looked back in his short life of memories. "Someday I will become a true spell weaver and a powerful one at that."
Lyndon nodded as if he understood Michael ambition but in reality, he had no clue what many of those words meant.
