After the mercenary walked back next to the merchant, he hesitated to bring up a topic. "Say, Mr. Merchant."
"What is it, Norm?" Loy replied to the mercenary.
"That kid." Norm proceeded to point at the kid where Lyndon was hiding behind. He was the tallest out of the bunches. He has blond hair unlike the rest of them so he tends to stand out. "That kid got some look in his eyes." When Norm had kicked Lyndon all the kids showed somewhat a fearful reaction to him, but not the blond boy. Instead, it was anger.
'Did he wanted to defend that idiotic boy?' Norm was not sure because it felt like the two were not even close.
"Him? I read his background a bit, but as you know, those who ended up to be slaves are to have their background wiped. His name is Michael Voft." Loy casually explained as if he does not care who it is as long as they bring a profit. "All I know that he his father was once a politician for the Republic of the Third."
"An ex-citizen from the Republic of the Third?" Norm questioned the fact. The Republic of the Third was a placed that was built after the 'twenty-three power war.' Norm knew that it was peaceful if one to ever get citizenship to live there, but it was peaceful for people with money. For those who had none of it, it was a life of misery, a life without living. Unlike Sedicts, who forgo material possession, in the Republic of the Third, wealth can buy happiness. "His parents must have been marked as a renegade or else not many would have the guts to sell him otherwise."
"Your speculation is good as mine. Let us continue. We can probably them before night falls." The mercenaries forced the children to walk. Even more, it was already two days with little sleep and food. The children were extremely fatigued, but they do not dare to make any complaint.
