《Hell Pawn》Carma

Running with a burning match in one hand, the other hand clutching the shot shoulder is not an easy task. At the same time, running at the same speed, with the corpse of an adult slung over your shoulder, that stinks as only a corpse that has lain in the heat for two days can stink - is no easier.
But Cyril could not complain, because he wanted to get a hole in his body and die happily. And to do this, he had to hide in the forest as soon as possible. Then the alchemist could revive the stinking corpse.
'I hope resurrection implies the restoration of the flesh.' Cyril thought, as a shot rang out from behind.
A huge dog ran out at the shot and went to intercept the intruders.
Kalim grimaced in pain. He had never run so fast or so long. He ran beside Cyril across the wide courtyard, trying not to catch his breath and die from the smell of the corpse. The courtyard didn't seem to want to end.
At the far end of the courtyard, a door creaked and a lamp came on. The Bloodhound behind him had summoned Fate and couldn't understand why the naked lunatic wouldn't listen to orders. The Academy taught that the phrase 'in the name of Fate' instantly gives you power, but in practice, everyone has long been indifferent to this call.
Bloodhound began to doubt that training at the Academy was worth it's years.
The huge dog was salivating and barking like a young Bloodhound. The dog, too, did not understand why these people did not run away from his terrible barking. The dog was born and raised in this house to protect the owner and everything around them. This was the moment of his glory, when he could close his sharp fangs around a naked man's ankle.

Cyril noticed that a guard dog was running at them and wanted to cross the yard before the dog could reach them.
'I've had enough of bears.' Cyril thought, but in vain.
The watchdog, not having reached the goal several meters, got off the ground. A mature, healthy guard of an expensive household stretched out in flight, dreaming of saving his home. But the poor guard didn't know that not any meat was easy to bite through.
"Get the fuck off!" Cyril yelled, trying to throw the dog off.
The dog grabbed his ankle, hard like a stone. This slowed the run, and Kalim crashed into Cyril, and the match went out. The Bloodhound behind them fired again, but missed in the dark. A lantern was approaching from the far end, shouting in an angry bass voice:
"What the hell is going on here!?"
The dog didn't want to let go, Cyril couldn't throw it off, but he had to move on.
'I'm sorry, I'm just sorry.' Cyril thought, and stepped on the dog with his other foot.
The dog released his grip and let out a pitiful squeal. He thought he should probably have bitten the neck right away, but he couldn't get to it. After all, how many human legs have you encountered that couldn't be bitten through? The dog didn't meet any. Besides this one.
The beast whimpered and crawled back. Blood oozed from the shattered skull. His fangs were torn out, his jaw was dislocated, and the yard was obviously given to the enemy.
"In the name of Fate, stop!"
Another bullet missed, and Cyril ran on.
'I hate myself.' He thought, looking back at the dog.
Kalim hurried after him, trying to light a match as he ran. He cursed and fell, blind in the dark.

The light suddenly brightened as the lamp in the owner's hand approached from the left. In his other hand he held a long pitchfork.
"Who are you?" A hoarse, loud voice asked.
The owner froze in shock, looking at the naked guy with a body on his shoulder and a stumbling figure in a hoodie.
"Who's shooting? Get out of my yard!"
The answer to the owner was a second shot. He crouched down and shouted back:
"Ignis!"
Cyril didn't stop and ran forward. Kalim, thanks to the light of the lamp, was finally able to catch up with him and only looked back in fear.
"I'm out of mixes!" He said, panting from running.
Finally, they crossed an open area and reached a building. From inside he heard the snore of the horses, and Kalim realized that it was stable. An oil lamp hung on the wall.
The owner fell behind, waiting for Ignis, whoever it was.
The Bloodhound fired again, and the bullet shattered the lamp on the stable wall. Now Kalim had enough light to see where to run, but the horses were going to be roasted alive. A fire crept up the stable wall.
"Asshole. take a fucking aim first!" Cyril shouted over his shoulder and ducked around the corner of the stable. "Just a little more!"
Cyril hated himself. He just wanted to take the body, revive the mechanic, build a gun, die, and meet the family. Why did the captain die first, and then he had to maim the dog?
Cyril knew perfectly well that a dog with a broken head was doomed.
'Now the stable is on fire, and it's my fault again.'
It was stupid to accuse the agent of not being able to shoot well. It was Cyril's desire to take the body that caused this chase.
"Ignis, put out the fire!" The landlord shouted from behind.
'I must help them.' Cyril thought, trying to clear his karma. 'Get out first.'
They left the stable behind, and the fence came into view. There were thick trees on the other side of the fence.
"Keep up." Cyril said, and tightened his grip on the mechanic on his right shoulder.
Something in the dead body slurped as Cyril squeezed it, and white worms crawled out of the mechanic's mouth. Kalim saw it in the glow of the fire and almost vomited, causing him to stumble again.
Cyril raced the last two meters to the fence and flew into it, leaving a hole. Kalim rose, shaking his head, and hurried after him. The sky was growing grey, and the fire was growing behind them.
Kalim ducked through a hole in the fence when a voice came from behind, full of tears and snot.
"You killed the captain! He was my father! I will avenge!"
However, the orphaned agent was afraid to enter the forest. It's a strange thing, the code of the Bloodhound, because it says: 'If your senior in rank is even a parent of yours, address one by rank, do not criticize.'
