Rest of commanders came quickly from each corner of city to their position while Fernando and few other commanders who were near the gate went to front line to prepare to stop this abruptness attack from the monsters who were coming waves behind waves after some cross the river while other trying and when they got close to city gates they start attacking the gates to get opening into it

"Get them hahaha!...We are here to eat you...Fear us, humans, we come for you...Kill them..." while the monsters army marching towards the gates but they got a warm welcoming from the Sagittarius on the walls of the city by attacking them with their bows to slow them down and damaging them.

While monsters body is strong for basic attacks and bows attack and need more power to slay their powerful skin which looks like bear and they got some weapons they stole from buddies of dead soldiers so they use it to kill humans maybe the monster is physically powerful but they got weakness which is the fire, the thing that most of the animals fear and can kill

So quickly after they stoned them with normal bows, archers changed quickly to fire bows and attack again while rest of soldiers behind the gate gathering and waiting the best moment to open the gate and get out to face injured monsters...

This is humans typical plan when they got a sudden attack from monster and only way they know to defend against those monsters as they keep learning in every war between them new tactics to stop the monster because tactics is only way for them as they know that no matter how good they are in fighting they can't match the power of monsters so with using their brains against monster there always will be a chance for humans to win

"Again attack!!" the commanders in walls screaming, ordering the fire again and again for nearly twenty minutes of firing they successfully burn most of the monster even with death of few but injured most of them to make them weak

"NOW OPEN IT ", the general order the gatekeepers to open the gate so the soldier burst out quickly on their feet to attack the monsters as many come out to fight, they used their best techniques to attack and for every two soldiers they attack one monster by surround him and stabbing his legs so he can't move that much then with quick moves, one of the soldiers attack him in the back so the monster gets his head up so the neck will be easy to slice as that the only way the monsters die from single strike

The monster's body is strong and hard to scratch and need much power to kill them but in the neck is a weak one and same as the neck of normal humans if you cut it off the monster will die immediately...

So all soldier trying it and it start to success as most of the monster went down one by one but with some human causalities as few failed to do this tactic and got quickly replaced by another soldier so after nearly thirty minutes of fighting they finally ended the last monster life

After that they star gathering each other and getting the injuries back to the city's infirmary and while the Sagittarius in top of the wall getting a rest and drinking some beer as celebrating the win that they thought but the win is far, so far from what they think as another huge wave come near them from the other direction of the forest near the city walls

"Wait? what is that?" a soldier noticed some monster approaching on the left side

"Oh shit! there are more from the left" then he screams "GROUP UP!" after that immediately the soldiers start grouping and preparing to fight the approaching monsters while the archers who quickly went back to their post to prepare to fire their bows but seconds later another soldier notice other monsters came from the right side...

"No way! guys, I think we got another party to the right!"

another soldier says "What the hell? are they trying to surround us? and how they got this far?"

another one add to that by yelling "Where did they hell they came from? how didn't we notice them from long miles? did they found a new way?"

A commander says "It doesn't matter now! Group up and call for reinforcement we need more men to take them down"

As soldiers are getting their position and preparing while the feeling of fear and shock getting into them from the fact that the battle is still going on and may more are coming out of nowhere

and as they hearing "BLOOD, BLOOD, BLOOD, We want your blood, EAT, EAT, EAT, we will eat you all hahaha" chanting and laughing in a loud voice from the two directions from the marching monsters, make it harder to the soldiers

"Stay together and be patient and always remember you are fighting for your kingdom for your family and your god so don't ever hesitate to kill those filthy monsters" as chief of commanders telling his soldiers...

However, as the monster gets near soldiers, the arches attack again using the normal bows this time as they fear from making the battlefield more hard to soldiers as well if they use the fire again so they attacked the monster from both sides and then more soldiers come out to support the others and start attacking

but one of those new soldiers in the battlefield was Donatella after she sneakily stole one armor from training ground and a sword and come out to fight as she thinks this is will be easy fight for her as no one noticed her while she hiding her beautiful blond hair between the helmet and her armor and no one also notice her female body in that armor as they focusing in the fight more then who in or out the gate...

"Here I am, finally at battlefield, time to get my revenge on those bastards who killed Marco, my dear friend today I will avenge you by killing those evil monsters"

Donatella telling herself that as she getting near to the battlefield and seconds she enter the zone of the fight she quickly realized the huge size and the dreadful look of monsters then she says "What is this? are they real?" she shocked from the monster looks and as she trying to understand the situation she got into, a soldier from behind tell her "come on brother, follow me let's take the nearest monster in front, you see that one who got one injured limb"

as he moves towards that monster, Donatella still in shock so she didn't even move backward or forward, she stay still in her position while a commander screams at her from behind "come on go follow your mate"

she quickly grabs her sword and run to her mate to help him as she repeating "Okay, okay, okay this is fine, totally fine, I can do it, yeah I can do it" while the others already start attacking and while she is on the battlefield she finally realized the brutality of this war and finally understand why monsters are the worst enemy of humans...

The blood everywhere, soldiers die, monsters dies, everything in red, the screams, the tears, the butchered limbs everywhere this is the scene she watching in front of her while following her mate and in every step she takes a voice come to her head says "Scream and run!" but she refuse and keep following him...

"I will get him from behind quickly attack in front" as the soldier moving behind the monster but Donatella stopped and says in low voice "What?" as soldier attacking the monster, Donatella still watching and can't even move her sword, until the monster quickly turn attack the soldier while he yelling "what the hell you waiting for...Uhh...Help me...Damn it...Nooo" as the monster defeat the soldier by breaking his hands and with a bow, in his body he took it off and stab it in the soldier head to kill it

As Donatella watching in fear and her body shaking while saying "No, No, No, he killed him" while the monster cut off his throat and eat it then he squeezed the head of dead soldier and eat like hungry man eating a sandwich

She is in complete shock says "No...he eating him...if I just...I just helped him" she drops her sword down and starts crying...While she crying a commander come behind her and punch her in her back saying "The hell you doing? you fucking useless soldier? your mate died because of you! why the hell you didn't help him" as he turning Donatella to face him "Are you crying? what the fuck? you are a fucking soldier and no place for tears here so..."

Donatella crying and hug the commander "Please take me home, Fernando"

The commander was Fernando, her trainer but he didn't recognize her so he says "What the hell? fuck off! are you hugging me in middle of a war while you crying? are you a fucking soldier or a fucking cooker?"

Donatella answers him "No, it is me the princess" she quickly hugged him again and says "Take me out of here please" then he quickly looks to her face to find out that she is indeed the princess of Antorya so he yells

"It is you, Dona, what the hell are you doing here? how you come here?"

The injured monster come quickly to attack them so Fernando moved her out and quickly to deliver a strike in the head to kill it then he turns to Donatella and says "What the hell are you doing? go back inside, I can't focus on protecting you, please Dona" while another commander came towards her and yells "What the hell soldier? what is wrong with you?"

Fernando interrupted him "No that is not a soldier, that is the princess so please sir, Dave take her inside, I have to back to my position"

Dave reacts insanely as screaming loudly "WHAT? A PRINCESS? IS IT TRUE?"

Fernando says "please don't yell, they will hear you" as rest of monster heard that information

"A princess is here? yamy-yamy hahaha can I get her hahaha" a monster near Franc and princess says that while approaching them

But as Fernando and Dave get together to protect her, the monster believed that She is indeed the princess so he yells to other monsters "Oh, we got something special over here hahaha who want to taste a princess meat?" so all of the monster's intentions went to Donatella while the two commanders start calling other soldiers to come protect her and bring her back inside the walls...

So all of the monsters went after her as she running between soldiers to get inside while they defending her and by that they made the fight harder as they all protecting one person with their life and it will cause death of many in achieving that even with that, nothing more important than protecting their king's daughter no matter what...

The fear of letting her get killed made them easy to get killed by monsters as they attacking from both side and trying to catch her while she running avoiding them but then she stops while everyone circling her

As she running she heard a voice in her head saying "Dona, don't run, remember me, remember who killed me? I'm your beloved friend Marco"

"Marco?? No, wait a sec this is what I want from the start? then why I'm running? no more!! for Marco sake for my dream sake I WILL NOT RUN" as she screams in fury then she grabs a sword from the ground and screams again "NO!! I WILL NOT BE AFRAID I AM PRINCESS OF THIS KINGDOM I AM DONATELLA" she runs towards monster near her attacking him

She stabs the monster between his legs and grab a sword was stuck in his leg and climb the sword she did stuck it and jump to hit the monster in his head to cut if off from the neck while he getting down she screams "I WILL KILL YOU ALL" she jump to another monster behind with her sword striking same point as before then she crawls between his legs to quickly climb from behind and with her bare hands stab the monster in his neck and took out his throat off to kill it while holding his throat she says "This is for my soldier who died because of me"

Then she drop the throat down and again grab another falling sword and move forward to another monster eliminate him, the monster themselves along rest of soldiers were shocked from her as she keeps running fearlessly as the adrenalin keep getting in her she jumps to stab her sword in monster torso but climb it quickly and jump to punch the monster face with her two hands as he falling back, she get above him and turn quickly to pick the sword down from his torso and back to strike it in his head between his eyes then she keep punching him then with her hands pull off his throat and rising it above while standing up with blood and anger in her face she says

"This for thinking I'm just a bait" then she turns to other soldiers behind her and screams at them "Don't stand there watching come on let's slaughter them, let's take out their hearts, their throats even their brains if they got one and let's burn them all"

All soldiers nearly can't believe what they saw as no human ever killed three monsters in the same attack as they we witnessing it now then she says "What are you waiting for? come on soldiers I order you to attack them all I want them all dead, you all heard me I WANT THEM DEAD SO LET'S DO IT" as she starts running towards monster again but this time all of the soldiers followed her all saying at the same time "ATTACK!!!"

The monster gets scared for the first time from what the witness so they start falling back as most of them saying to each other "Retreat!...Retreat now!...Fall back"

As they continue attacking monsters and killing them one by one and all together fighting in rage and listening to Donatella screaming to them "Don't let them escape! hunt them down" as she herself attacking in the front line...

But while she running, a monster was in ground fatally injured but with a sword near him he quickly grab it and stab her while she passing near him so she falls down while she getting the sword out another monster come from behind her push her to the ground then he says "You little bitch finally I got you"

As she crawling to get her sword which then he stepped on it and says "Well you done! time for you to die my dear little princess! I never though I will meet you again in such time! I was one of your father soldiers and now I'm a holy being no more just worthless being as you"

Donatella response him as she trying to get to her feet "Maybe I'm worthless but at least I made you scared and ran away like a coward! today I realized the power of your type but also I realized how much you all disgraceful and never deserve to live"

The monster screams "Shut up, time for you to die" while others were busy in fighting finally Fernando noticed her getting down then he yells "NO! The princess! all protect her" as he running towards another monster catch him from behind so Fernando quickly turn to fight him off and in same time worry about Donatella who is about to die in seconds

After the monster says the last words to Donatella he strike her with his hands but something stopped it a voice come behind him says "Nah!! not today!" the monster completely stopped and no matter how he tries to move, he can't

It was Zeral, stopping him from killing the princess after he watched her fighting them from distance, she asks "What? how?" while Monster asks "It is you? Z-Z-Z-Eral?"

Then he cut off his arms with his intense power then says "Don't ever try to touch my beautiful princess, I'm her forgotten personal knight, the knight who promised her to protect her years ago so you try to touch her and I will kill you"

Donatella ask him again "What? did I ? who are you?" while Monster says "Nooo damn you how dare you to betray us, you low piece of shit"

Zeral turns to her and says "Okay I know it is been years since we met but I'm sure you will remember me and if you please close your eyes because you may will not like what is going to happen" as he turns back to the monster stabbing him with his sword cutting off his head after that from the hole he enter his hands and grabs the spine of the monster and tear it off from the body and says to the rest of monster who was stunned to see him back and helping the humans

"You threaten my princess I will feast on you all"

Donatella can't believe her eyes after she ignored him telling her to close it as she watching him grabbing the spine of that monster and breaking it in pieces while other soldiers came to get her out from the battlefield while the general himself screaming "retreat, all of you fall back now and bring back the princess...Our fight is over"

Zeral says "Yeah this fight it is over now so get her inside and heal her I don't want to see her in pain and let me finish my meal, it was long journey from the Capital to this city so yeah I feel hungry and what better than much rotten flesh of meat hahaha"

So few soldiers come to rescue her and help her to walk out while Zeral starts hunting the running monsters after they realized it is over for them when they heard that Zeral is hungry and going for them...
