IV - The Hunt
And then, the huge Bearnicorn roared at us. It's rainbow colored fur straightened up like Goku's hair when he turns into a Super Saiyan. The horn on it's head started to emit a weird radiating light.
"That's it!" Aida said as she aimed her huge gatling gun at the Bearnicorn. "It now transformed into a Super Bearnicorn! We must kill it now before it transforms into Super Bearnicorn 2!!"
"Roger!" Lyn said as she started to charge unto the Super Bearnicorn with her beloved AK-47.
Aida started firing while Lyn is distracting the enemy. Claire is on the ground. Her goggles fell on the ground as well. Even though she can't express it, I can sense the pain she's suffering as she presses her cheek using her handgun. I hope she had the safety lock on.
Seeing Claire like this makes me feel sad. I am now shivering from fear as I am holding this huge sniper gun that I do not know the name of. But I must do it... for Claire.
45 hours earlier...
......
....
..
"What!?" I exclaimed at Aida. Then I heard a shutter from a camera make a clicking sound. I looked at Claire. She just stared at me with her blue eyes. Then I turned my gaze upon Aida. "Bermuda Island? There's an island in there?"
Lyn smirked at me. "It is basic information for those of people with power and their servants. Wait, you don't know? How sad to be you! Sameshii nee!!"
I made an angry hissing sound unconsciously. I was then blinded by a flash. It was Claire and her phone again. "Geez, stop taking pictures of me."
"You are my maid. I shall do what I want." Her stern and cold voice said.
"If I get any ugly pics there... delete it..." I said.
"No." She then licked at her ice cream.
"Anyways, Bermuda Island, as it suggests, lies on the Bermuda Triangle." Aida said. "All the disappearances that happened there were caused by Fenrir for it is a top secret facility. They shot everything. May it be airplanes or cruiser ships. It is also where the Intergalactic Embassy lies."

"Inter...galactic Embassy?" I can't even manage to chew on those words. "You mean... aliens?"
"Just how stupid can you be?" Lyn scoffed. Pointing her rifle at me. How can she even lift that thing with one hand? And make sure you put the safety lock on before pointing that thing to people, damnit!!! "Oh sorry, you're right. I did forgot to put the safety lock on. Tee-hee!"
I am speechless.
"Yes, aliens." Aida smiled. "There are handsome catboys looking aliens there from planet Furrisea!" She squeeled. "Might as well take one as a butler.. and I'll make him do this... and that... with his big and juicy..."
"Oh my... you guys going on a hunt?" It was the master of the mansion herself. "Where are you guys going?"
"Gonna get some Bearnicorn horn to make Claire some toothache remedy." Aida smiled. "You coming?"
Alexandria placed her chin on her right hand. "Nah. I'll stick on the mansion. And don't even bother asking Cezille. She asked me to help her with her assignment." Even though she is smiling, Ms. Alexandria's eyes were sharp. "Enjoy your hunt, guys." She smiled as she left us.
And with that I carried all the stuff that Claire is bringing. And when I lifted it up to put it on the trunk. "Ugh!" Why is it so heavy? I tried lifting it up again. No good. And then Lyn came. She placed a huge bag inside the trunk easily. She then looked at me.
"Is it too heavy for you?" She asked.
I nodded shyly.
"Hmm..." She took the baggage bag from me and lifted it up like it was nothing. The placed it inside the trunk. "Look." She said to me. "If you really want to serve the Svartsevich family, you must me strong. If not, you might lose them someday."
With those words, she left.
What she said is indeed true. If I really want to... I must be strong. Because Claire is from a well-renowned family, there will be threats here and there to her life. I must protect here... the one who saved me...
And so, with Vincent on the wheels, we went to the Svartsevich's private airport. I know Claire and her family is rich. But their own airport?!
When we arrived, not just private jets, but also fighter jets and fighting helicopters. Tons of them at that!! Just how rich are they?
It will be my first time on a jet plane... I am scared.
Probably noticing my shivering, Claire placed an earphone on my ear. Something like jazz music was playing. "Jazz music helps me calm down." She said, looking at the window of the plane.
"Thanks." Was all I said as I hide my face.
As I listened to the fast beat of the drums and the mixed playing of the saxophone and piano, I feel relaxed. And before I knew it, we were already flying.
As if being hypnotized, my eyes started to be droopy. I guess I should sleep. It would be a long flight...
And then, I felt a poking sensation on my nose and cheeks. When I opened my eyes, it was Claire. "We're here." She said.
And then we got down on the jet. Bermuda Island, huh.
Gettibg out of the airport, I saw coconut trees and forests. And mostly, soldiers and knights with cat ears. Knights with cat ears!? Oh my, these guys sure are cute and so handsome.
Claire coughed.
"It's not like I am fantasizing myself being surrounded by those handsome cat eared knights!!"
"What?" Claire said, though she has no expression, I can sense that she is confused. "We're gonna go to the hotel now." She said.
After an hour or so, we arrived at the huge building amidst the tropical island.
There were cat eared servants everywhere. I so want to pet them... but I think that would be rude...
And then I saw Aida petting a little cat girl. The cat girl was moaning in pleasure.
"Furrisians like it when you pet them. They're basically cats that evolved." Claire said. And that's when a little orange haired cat girl who looks like a maid approached me.
"Let me help you with that, meow!" She smiled.
"T-Thanks." I said as I am slowly reaching her head with my hand. And there, I am now petting her. Her head, ears and her chin. She was letting out lewd moaning sounds. Even though I am a girl, I feel so aroused listening to her.
"Do you like her?" Claire asked.
"Yeah.. she's so cute." I said as I am rubbing my cheeks to the little cat girl's cheek.
"I'll talk to the manager later so that I could hire her as your.... uhmm... pet or something." Claire said.
"What!? Is that even okay?" I asked.
"Yes, meow!" The cat girl spoke. "I will be you servant, meow." She waved her long tail as she smiled.
My own servant, huh...
After resting on our rooms for a few hours, the hunt started.
"There are numerous of dangerous animals that cannot be seen anywhere here on Bermuda Forest. So be ready." Aida said. "As this is your first time hunting, you should stay at the sides and back us up, Keiren." Aida said as she handed me a heavy rifle. From it's looks, I think it's a sniper rifle. I think taking lessons from Vincent in gun handling will finally pay off.
.......
....
..
The bullets that's hitting the Bearnicorn seemed to be useless. And with one swipe with it's huge paw, Lyn flew towards a tree. She managed to block the hit with her rifle. But she fell unconscious and received a scar on her stomach.
I looked at Claire again. I think her tooth is aching from the ice cream that she ate yesterday before the flight. Anyways, I have to be strong. To protect her. And Aida too.
I aimed the heavy sniper rifle at the huge Bearnicorn. Ms. Aida was firing her gatling gun at the front. And after a few moments, she stopped.
"What?!" She exclaimed. "Running out of ammo while being in a pinch..."
"No..." My hands were still shaking.
And then, I remembered what Claire said during the flight.
So I hummed the jazz piece that she made me listen. And then, my hands stopped shaking as I looking on the scope.
And then, with one click, fate was decided.

The Orb Weaver Chronicles
"The Orb Weaver Chronicles contains several major and unique events that may or may not unknowingly intertwines with one another. The author of these chronicles is unknown, although some have hinted at the symbolism behind its name..." - Year unknown, location unknown 9 February 2022 Update: Welcome to the companion short story compilation of my novel trilogy The Shadow Paradigm. This compilation features prequels, sidequels and sequels to the novel's major plotline, as well as featuring a wide range of characters, new and recurring. Prior knowledge of the novel is not necessary as the Orb Weaver Chronicles' short stories are standalone. Once called The Arkesyyan Chronicles, I've deleted quite a few of its old stories. Due to the new avenue and revision, oriented toward more mystery and film-noir ambience, that I took my stories into, I've removed all aliens and overly sci-fi aspects of the whole TSP lineup, so I've updated the Orb Weaver Chronicles accordingly. I hope you enjoy them, and in time, a revised version will also be updated.

Meeting myself
Canceled (This was my first attempt at a story and while I really enjoyed it, I lost track of the thread of the story. The MC was too op, and except for some fun slice of life moments it just wasn't a very good plot. Anyway, I may come back and re-write this in the future because I really enjoyed the premise, but for now don't expect updates.)I've never met Karma; or at least I think I haven't. Hope, really, because I'm pretty sure she hates me. You see, the thing is, I've always hated flying. When you don't wind up getting molested (cavity searched), then your bags get lost, or you spend the entire flight sitting next to a crying baby. This flight was even worse than any of those things. You see, this flight killed me. I won't spoil it, but lets just say, Karma owes me a few explanations. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, deserves to die like that. Of course, that wasn't the end of my adventure, far from it. But, you'll just have to read the story to learn about that.(This is a mature fiction, so far their hasn't been anything overtly bad (some minor sexual innuendo and drug use), but their will be plenty of blood, gore, sex, all that good stuff... eventually)
