April 21st, Hospital Memorial de Río Grande

Maria breathes slowly thanks to the oxygen. It’s been 5 days since she was poisoned. Valerie sits next to her. Valerie grabs her hand:

“Mother, you don’t have to worry anymore…Uriel is going to find the answer…just stay calm…”

(KNOCK KNOCK)

“Valerie…” Father Clemente came inside the room; “I thought I’d find you here…”

“Father Clemente, did you need me for something?”

“Yes, I was actually going to find something to eat…and I wanted you to come with me…”

Valerie looks at her mother; “I’m not hungry at all…”

Father Clemente grabs her shoulder while looking at Maria; “Look mija, we need her to stay strong and for that…you need to eat…your mother will be sad if you fall sick…”

Valerie chuckles; “I know right, she would get so mad at me…” Valerie stands up; “I will be the right back mother…”

Valerie and Father Clemente walk down the aisle, Father Clemente rubs Valerie’s head:

“Hey cheer up…your mother will be alright…didn’t you say that Uriel will help her…”

“I did…and I trust him…but still, I feel so useless not being able to help…”

“I feel the same way, everytime that I think about it…I feel so ashamed…but still, I know that we will have something important to do…let’s just be patient dear…”

Valerie smiles at Father Clemente; “Right…”

Valerie and Father Clemente decided to look for something to eat…they were not aware that a shadow was about to fall at the hospital as an enemy slowly appeared…

Sun City…

Walking down the street of Downtown Sun City, a young man with a blue buttoned shirt and a black pants walks down and looks up at the giant skyscrapers…this is the rainy season in the Borderland and the clouds cover the sky with a chance of rain…

“It’s been a long time since I was here…this area…it’s filled with mana…” Uriel looks around sensing a powerful mana around him. As for the people surrounding him, many woman can’t avoid looking at him with “heart-shaped” eyes:

“Oh wow, what a handsome young man…

Is he single?

Maybe I should talk to him…”

Uriel notices and continues walking without paying them attention; “I wonder why she wanted to meet….”

Uriel stops at the front of the Sun City International Bank and looks at the skyscraper; “This mana…there is no doubt…he is here…”

On the 20th floor of the Sun City International Bank, Darius Lucifugus has a meeting with an important business man.

“Very well gentleman, once you observe this graph, you can clearly see that our investments have gone up and…”

Darius Lucifugus stops with the conversation. One of the men notices him; “Is something wrong, Mayor Lucifugus?”

“No, nothing’s wrong…I just noticed that I have something in my office…if you excuse me, we will finish some other time…” Darius walks from the conference room to his office. At his office, a young girl with a maid attire awaits for him:

“Welcome back, Master Lucifugus…I hope you had a great meeting…”

“Oh please Anastasia, call me father…” Darius pats Anastasia’s head; “I’m sorry Master…”

Anastasia Lucifugus is a beautiful girl who is about 15 years old. She has black hair with bangs on her forehead. Reddish eyes, pale skin making her look like a doll. She has a slim body.

Darius walks towards his giant windows and looks down. Anastasia walks to his side; “Is something wrong Master?”

“Call me father, and to be honest…I noticed a strange presence…someone is looking this way…”

(BADUMP BADUMP BADUMP)

“There is someone at the window…he’s too far to see but I can sense him…that man is Darius Lucifugus…” Uriel gets furious. Darius, who is looking down, smiles:

“Do you see Anastasia…Uriel Di Fiore is staring right here…”

“I can see him Master…I can also feel an enormous amount of mana gathering…”

Darius chuckles; “I see, he has returned…I believe he knows what happened to his mother…I am certain that he is furious at me…”

(BADUMP BADUMP BADUMP)

“I can’t see you…but I know that you see me…Darius…”

Uriel releases an enormous amount of mana creating massive air currents and creating a huge panic at the city. Breaking some windows at the buildings and cracking the window where Darius and Anastasia are located.

“Master, should I take him down?”

“No my daughter, let him be…and please order some new windows for the building…”

“Understood Master…”

“Hahaha…it’s too soon for us to meet boy…you are still too weak…”

Darius walks away as he chuckles:

“I wonder when fate will bring us face to face…Horseman of War…”

Uriel slowly lifts his arm; “Darius, I will kill you…”

“GUESS WHO?” Someone interrupts Uriel, Uriel’s mana decreases rapidly as he feels a woman’s body touching his back:

“Johanna, what are you doing?”

Uriel turns around and sees Johanna smiling at him; “Aww, you’re no fun…you’re supposed to act surprised…”

Johanna Gomez (Age 20) is a beautiful young woman who has a well developed body, long straight black hair, white skin and blue eyes. She is wearing a shirt black skirt with a red blouse that catches every man’s gaze.

Uriel sighs; “I guess…I was a little surprised…”

“That makes me happy…now let’s go…I know of a cafe with great cappuccinos” Johanna grabs Uriel’s arm and pulls him as they both walk down the street. Uriel looks back at the building as he thinks:

“One day, I will take you down…”

Johanna took Uriel towards a famous cafe located a few blocks away in a tourists spot…the cafe is known as Café d'amour…where tourists rate it as the best coffee in the region…

“So…what did you want to ask me?” Johanna takes a zip of her cup and puts it down. She crosses her legs making everyone glance at her. Uriel sighs with his eyes closed; “You know, you attract too much attention…”

“I can help it, I’m just beautiful…don’t you think?” Johanna teases Uriel. Uriel drinks from his cup as well; “Johanna, I need your help…”

“Let me guess, you need my help with your mother…am I right?”

Uriel nods in agreement; “I won’t ask how you know about it…but you’re correct…I need your help to save her…”

“I see…well, let me tell you that the poison she has in her body doesn’t have a cure…it is the poison of an unknown species of snake…and according to the information I gathered, it drains mana…am I right?”

Uriel looks with suspicion; “You’re correct…” Uriel thinks to himself; “She’s dangerous…I must be careful…”

“Fufufu…you know, having a life on someone’s hand is something many doctors avoid…including me…if I make a mistake, her life will end and the guilt will be with me for life…”

“I know that…and for that…I offer you my life…” Uriel looks with a determined expression. Johanna looks surprised; “Are you offering your life to me?”

“I am…I need you to help me save my mother…” Uriel lowers his head. Johanna looks dumbfounded; “This is crazy, you’re the Horseman of War…you shouldn’t ask that and besides, you know that I work for the Government right? Offering your life means that you will work for the government…”

“I am well aware, however…if I lose my mother…I understand that my life will be meaningless…”

“Fufufu, you can’t be that selfless…what if I told you to become my lover and love me for the rest of your life…”

“I can’t do that…”

“And why not?”

“Because, I already offered my life to someone else…I’m sorry…”

“So, you can’t love me?”

“No…”

Johanna’s smile slowly faints; “I see…very well…I accept to help…but I have two conditions…”

Uriel looks at her with a luxurious smile; “What conditions?”

Valerie and Father Clemente finished eating breakfast at the cafeteria…as they finish, they head towards Maria’s room…

“I wonder why Uriel wanted to ask that woman for help?” Valerie puffs her cheeks. Father Clemente chuckles; “Now now Valerie…Uriel has his motives…maybe that woman is a genius and we don’t know about it…”

“She may be…but still, I can’t trust that woman…”

(BBBBAADDUUMMPPP)

Valerie and Father Clemente stop walking; “Father, I felt a chill down my spine…”

“Me too…it’s as if something bad is going to happen…”

Valerie begins to run; “Something is wrong with mama…I must hurry…”

“Valerie, wait!” Father Clemente follows Valerie as they head to the stairs.

Meanwhile…

Approaching the Hospital, a beautiful woman with orange hair walks down slowly…that woman is Kasumi Miyazono…

“Hhhmmpphhh…” Kasumi walks down the street as she feels angry; “That Uriel…he left without saying a word…and worse, her mother is at the hospital…my teacher’s wife…sheesh when I see him…”

Kasumi stops as her face turns red; “But…I understand why he left without saying a word…still…”

(BBAADDUUMMPPP)

Kasumi feels a strong mana; “This mana…no doubt, it’s El Muerto…but where is he?” Kasumi looks up; “There…”

Room 720…

Maria Di Fiore, who has the left side of her body covered in black veins, has her temperature above 100 F, and her heart is slowly stopping…

At that moment, a black portal opens…

“So this is where you were?”

The figure coming out of the portal has a black robe with a hood. A white skeleton mask with a red stripe across the left eye. The cloak has a reddish tone. The figure’s name is El Muerto who is one of the enemies that the HISTOREA Alliance faces.

“To think I would find you in this situation, Maria Di Fiore, also known as the Scarlet Maiden of the Order of the Holy Cross…”

(BEEP BEEP BEEP)

El Muerto, with a feminine voice, walks around her bed and chuckles:

“You were no match for my master…what were you thinking?

El Muerto takes out a lance;The lance consists of a black staff with a red spear.

(BADUMP BADUMP BADUMP)

“Something is wrong? We need to hurry…” Father Clemente and Valerie run up the stairs as they feel a strange presence in Maria’s room.

“Father, what is this mana? Somebody is in there?’

“I don’t know Valerie…I made sure to put some agents to guard her but there was no response from them…”

“Oh no…mamá…”

Valerie and Father Clemente rush towards Maria 's room. Outside Maria’s room, several priests lie on the floor unconscious and with blood coming out.

(BEEP BEEP BEEP)

El Muerto prepares to stab her as he points the lance at her heart:

“Master told me that your condition would become weaker by the hour but he wants you to disappear because you are a threat…therefore, I was assigned to eliminate you…”

El Muerto prepares his lance as he chuckles:

“How ironic for me to be the one to end your life…Farewell…Teacher…”

(SSSLLLASSHH)

At that moment, Kasumi, wearing her esper suit, stops El Muerto with her katana:

“I won’t let you…”

Kasumi attacks El Muerto, El Muerto dodges her katana and tries to attack the lance. Kasumi dodges the lance and kicks El Muerto away from Maria. El Muerto walks back towards the window:

“Kasumi Miyazono…this isn’t Yggdrasil’s territory…”

“I don’t care…if you try to attack Maria, I will kill you…” Kasumi grabs her katana and takes on a kendo position. El Muerto chuckles:

“It seems I won’t be able to kill her…but the master already foretold this situation…”

(PPUUMMM)

Father Clemente destroys the door. Valerie runs towards Maria; “Mama!” Father Clemente looks at El Muerto:

“You demon…what did you do?”

“Nothing, thanks to her…for now…I will be taking my leave…I wish for you to recover…it was nice to see you again…teacher…”

El Muerto makes two pairs of black wings appear and jumps off the window. El Muerto flies to the sky. Kasumi runs to the window; “It seems the coast is clear…” Kasumi takes a deep breath and undoes her esper suit, changing to her normal clothes.

“TEACHER!” Valerie runs and hugs Kasumi. -BOING- “Thank you…thank you…you saved my mama…”

Kasumi blushes; “It was nothing…I just wanted to see Maria…”

“Incredible hija…how did you arrive here so fast?” Father Clemente asks Kasumi.

“Simple, I just jumped…” Kasumi points at the window. Valerie and Father Clemente look at her surprised; “YOU JUMPED!”

“YES! IS THAT WEIRD?”

Valerie and Father Clemente look down; “Impressive…you’re such a talented hija…”

Kasumi blushes for a moment. She looks at Maria; “Will she be okay?”

“She will…Uriel went to speak with Johanna for help…”

Kasumi hears Johanna’s name; “HE WHAT?”

(STEP STEP STEP)

“EVERYONE STAY WHERE YOU ARE?” Suddenly, special forces arrive to the room pointing their guns towards everyone.

“What’s happening?”

“I’m afraid you will have to leave because this woman is a suspect a murdered happened 4 days ago…” A man heads towards them. Father Clemente opens his eyes wider; “It’s you…Officer Rodriguez…”

Officer Luis Rodriguez (Age 35) is an officer of the Rio Grande City police force, he is the commander, and he has brown skin with short black hair. He has yellow eyes and a mustache, he is wearing casual clothes.

“Father Clemente, we have the orders from Mayor Gonzalez to shut down this hospital…Maria Di Fiore is off limits…I will have to ask you to leave…”

“NO…YOU CAN’T” Valerie gets furious as her eyes turn hollow. Father Clemente notices and stops her:

“WAIT…”

“BUT FATHER CLEMENTE!”

“Valerie, calm down…I understand how you feel but he is following orders…” Valerie calms down, Kasumi grabs her hand; “Let’s go…”

Father Clemente looks at Officer Rodriguez; “I don’t know what Nathaniel has in mind…but let us at least have someone with her…my superior, Sister Griselda will be with her…can we at least have her here?”

Officer Rodriguez sighs; “You know this is difficult for me too…specially since I owe Daniel Di Fiore a lot…due to the recent events, but very well…she can stay with her…”

“Thank you son…” Father Clemente walks towards the stairs. Officer Rodriguez grabs his phone; “It’s done…”

Under Mayor Nathaniel’s orders, Maria was put into custody by the Police Special Forces…the clock is ticking as Maria’s heart is stopping…
