《Cultivation Bug Fuyo》Chapter 27 - Soul Imprint

The carpet submitted but Fuyo was bluffing the entire time. He couldn't even wield a sword with his body let alone kill someone but his dominating nature still existed from his past life.
"Soul Imprint!" Tuzai and the Guard exclaimed at the same time.
Fuyo turned his head sideways like an owl. "Soul Imprint, what's that?"
"A soul imprint is like a blood pact, it's unbreakable. Because it imprinted, that means it will serve you for the rest of its life. It's like a servant acknowledging its master. A soul imprint can only be done once in their life."
"Hey wait, that's not good right? This isn't even our carpet, it's that old mans. Wouldn't he get mad?" Fuyo said sternly.
Tuzai nodded her head "This was his magic carpet; he's definitely going to be mad after we did this to his great magical treasure. But unfortunately, there is no medicine for regret and no pill to go back in time and fix your past mistakes. It's already happened and we can't take it back. We will just have to explain it to that old timer when he gets back whenever that may be. But it's amazing how you scared him and made him Imprint. But in the future, please don't ever do that face again. I almost pissed myself."
She looked down slightly embarrassed because it was true. Fuyo's ugly face he pulled was ten times scarier than the homicidal carpet.
"Right, I'll try not to and we will go see him later on then. First things first, we have to name him. What do you think we should call him?"
"Uh, it should be something vicious like Kira for killer."
"Kira? Wow, that is fearsome. I like it, anything less wouldn't good enough. Then let's go with this."

He turned around and walked towards the carpet that was now as docile as a puppy.
"From now on your name is Kira, do you like it?"
"Ruff, ruff, ruff!"
Its tongue hung out and it turned over on its back. Fuyo scratched its stomach and patted its silky fur.
"Aw, he looks kind of cute like this." She rubbed the bag and pulled out a big fat juicy steak, then threw it over into Kira's mouth.
Chomp
"Ruff, ruff!"
The guide was amazed by this scene.
"Okay, let's go home now and cook up this meat. I'm sick of walking, 9 hours is too far to walk again and it's getting dark."
"But we can't protect the carpet, what if someone tries to steal it?" This was a real worry, because magic carpet thefts weren't uncommon. That's why most people stored them here.
"They can try if they want."
Suddenly, Kira turned vicious and had saliva dripping down its mouth. "Grrrr....."
Gulp "I was just overly worried hehe, Kira can protect herself."
"Her? How do you know it's a girl?"
"I don't..." Tuzai poked tongues and then jumped on to Kira. She wasn't afraid at all now, like she had already gotten use to the idea of owning a homicidal flying carpet.
Fuyo climbed aboard a second later, "Kira, yip yip!"
"aruh?" The carpet looked at him like it was confused.
"Um, senior guide master. How do we make him fly?"
"Haha, right. I should give you this, here you are." The guide handed over a book to Fuyo. Inside it were various words, he started to read through the instructions to get a better understanding.
Action / Translation
Higher: Gama
Lower: Guma
Left: Guchi
Right: Goo

Forward: Pumba
Back: Mew
Speed Up: Andale
Slow Down: Lu ha
Stop: Pawpaw
"What's with these weird words?"
This was totally unnecessary and Fuyo couldn't find a logical reason why they would make these the commands. It would have been a lot easier just to have normal words as their commands.
The guide cleared his throat "Ahm..."
"It's the international carpet language. It used to be left, right, forward and back but these words are sometimes used in conversation. Can you imagine someone flying through the air at top speed and accidentally saying left then smashing into a stone wall. It's happened before and caused a lot of accidents so we had to change the carpet language."
"That makes a lot of sense then. Alright, I guess it can't be helped. Gama!"
Kira slowly flew into the air, higher and higher.
"Pumba, andale, andale, andale, andale."
Boom
Boom
Boom
Boom
In a split second they were gone.
Gulp "They sped up four times, that's not going to end well for them." The guide stared at their disappearing figures and wiped the sweat of his head. "Well, if they die it's not my fault." He instantly exonerated himself from their fate.
He jumped on a transporting carpet and flew back to his post at the front office.
"Wehhrree giinongg thuuu fsseetst" (We're going to fast)
"iii nkwwwwnow.... Paaaawpaaaaaw...pawwwpawww.." (I know, pawpaw, pawpaw)
Crrrkkkk... Poof
The carpet stopped instantly but the pushing force behind them threw them off. They flew off the carpet and went head first into a pile of dung.
Splash
"Ewwww....Blurgh." Tuzai couldn't stand the smell and threw up all over the floor.
Fuyo wiped the dung from his eyes. "Argh, that didn't go as expected. Our clothes are ruined too; look there is a river over there where we can wash up."
They made their way over and took off their clothes; they weren't embarrassed of being naked because they are usually naked just like everyone else. It's usually only nobles that wear clothes to show off their wealth.
The sludge washed off their body and drifted down the river.
Splash "Hehe"
Water splashed over Fuyo's head.
"Ooh, you cheeky mother.."
He moved his body and sent a wave of water over at Tuzai. He was many times larger than her so it was like a tsunami had hit her.
Splash
"I'll show you!" She used her qi to pick up the water into the air and made it tumble down on Fuyo's head.
"Damn, I underestimate the power of magic once again."
Fuyo started splashing about like a fish, "Water treading steps"
He was burning massive amounts of energy just to perform this simple martial move but it helped him run across the water. He was like a jet ski, creating a swirling whirlpool around her.
Some kids that were swimming nearby joined in and it turned into a big water fight. There was lots of laughing and playing. In a mere moment more than an hour had gone by. Time sure flies when you are having fun.
Fuyo got out and lay on the sand, drying out his skin. He was lost horribly. He looked around and noticed something he hadn't noticed before. The entire group of larva playing in the water were extremely small, at least a lot smaller than the ones they saw in town. They were around Tuzai's size, even though they were all around 11 or 12 years old like Fuyo.
"Are they are different breed or do they all suffer from dwarfism?"

Nights of Sambria: And the Wish of Light
“I discovered a secret. One I desperately wish could have stayed hidden. It was locked away, concealed in a fantastical world on the doorstep of 7 billion people who stayed utterly oblivious to it. If they will be spared the terror that is coming, I can’t begin to imagine. Know that a forgotten heritage of a dwindling people whispered, unknowingly sending a call to the ancient mysteries of the world. Something listened. And now events are set in motion that could force the earth on a course of terrible change. I am being hunted and have run out of time. There were no stories about it. No legends. Not even scribbles. Yet, the threat of it is real and that’s why I’m writing this warning with shaking hands. So pay attention those who read this, be careful of what lies waiting cloaked in the darkness. That which made their home the lost places of this world.” She folded the letter with a shuddering breath and stared back in the direction from where the noise reverberated through the halls. It was of stone doors shattering one by one. The chances of getting out safely were all but gone. The letter in her hand was all warning they would have. It dropped into one of the Wells and all that could be done now was hope it was found in time, if at all. -- This was my very first large story. ;) I started writing it years ago. Was fun, was difficult, but in the end, it is a story I hope that will inspire. The prologue is in first person perspective and the rest of the story in 3d. Just a little heads-up :P It is a fantasy epic with a contemporary twist for the start. The first arc of the novel is set inside our modern world, but as the mysterious events around Calin intensifies, the hidden secrets in the world start to become more fantastical. The story follows Calin, a young orphan in search of answers. But, the answers he seeks will change his life and that of his friends forever, for the secrets that caused his situation have far greater ramifications than the small village of Lamb's Crest could have known. Remember to leave ratings and reviews. I'm quite interested in hearing your thoughts on the story. ;) Enjoy reading, Omri Hope

Solstice Anthology
A collection of short stories I've written over the past few years, the centerpiece being "Solstice" itself: On the Winter Solstice, the wind whispered. It roared and blew across the world, and reached even the Heavens above. With it, the great cold of winter flooded across that higher plane, and the gods staggered. They felt the golden dust of their divinity drift away from them, and the message of that wind became clear… This Winter will never end so that the Earth will.
