《Cultivation Bug Fuyo》Chapter 19 - Princess of Ice and Snow

"She can't speak; she can only talk through me because we are connected via spirit."
He stared at the wall with a blank expression on his face.
"Tuzai said you lost your memories? That's unfortunate, at least you are alive. The princess had a dream of you falling from a tree and dying. That's why she was so afraid."
Fuyo just stared blankly.
"Why aren't you speaking? Come on, that joke was funny."
Fuyo: "..."
"Fuyo?"
Fuyo: "..."
Amidamaru grabbed Fuyo's shoulder and turned him around.
"Fuyo are you al...arrgh wtf!?"
Fuyo had equipped his fearsome innocent face and scared the living daylights out of Amidamaru.
"Hahaha, that'll teach you. How do we break her out of this ice?"
Amidamaru sighed as he said "Only a Skylord has the power to break the ice, this ice isn't normal ice. It's the Ice of the Snow Phoenix. Long ago your mother encountered a dangerous enemy; although he died in the end, with the last of his power he launched a surprise attack. Your mother had no choice but to summon the Ice Phoenix and use the ice profound seal. The ice profound seal was many levels beyond her power; in exchange she traded her remaining life span and future potential. Do you know why she did this?"
Fuyo shook his head.
"She did it for you. At the time you were still a little egg inside her, she could've burnt all the energy in her body and escaped with only a few flesh wounds but then she would've been like a battery with no charge. Because you have the blood of a spirit bee flowing through your veins you would suffocate without a constant flow of spirit energy. She realized this the moment the attack was launched. That's why she chose to activated the Ice Profound seal. Unfortunately, the more she used her powers the less she was able to hold back the ice. In the end, all your brothers and sisters died. You were the only survivor, it almost took your life too but Kaguya refused to give up. She exhausted all her energy to help you survive and in the end, you did. But your profound veins were crippled and her entire body was frozen in time."

People sacrificing themselves for me again? It's just like my past life. And even in this one I can't repay them for the love they showed me.
"You said I had brothers and sisters?"
"Yes, in the beginning there were 12 of you. But they never hatched; they all died in the womb."
Fuyo felt himself getting chocked up; he didn't expect to have siblings. But it was already too late, they were dead.
"As I was saying, only a Skylord has the power to melt the Ice of the Snow Phoenix. You would also need a rank 6 healing pill and a rank 7 life extending pill to heal her wounds and extend her life force. She only has 3 seconds of life left; if she is unfrozen then her life force will burn up so these pills are extremely important."
Fuyo had a goal, he wouldn't wander aimlessly through this world anymore. His plans for world domination would also have to be put on hold. For now his goal would be to become a Skylord and learn the Dao of pills so he could create these pills to heal her.
"So how do I become a Skylord?"
"A Skylord? A Skylord is a great being with overwhelming power, with a wave of their hand they can call storms and create earthquakes. They can make the sky fall before their knees in worship. Unfortunately, because your profound veins were damaged you don't have any hope of reaching the Skylord stage."
"Well that's good then because they have been healed. So how do I become one?"
"Healed?" Amidamaru raised an eyebrow when he heard this. He sent his spiritual sense out and checked Fuyo's body. It was a true!
"How .. did?" Tuzai cut him off because she already knew his question.

"He found a heavenly treasure and it healed his profound veins."
"Ah, so that's the case." He nodded his head to Tuzai, their relationship seemed pretty good. Like a big brother and little sister.
"Still kid your meri..." This time Fuyo cut him off.
"Yes, I already know about my meridians. I will open them one by one and reach the peak of power so that I can help mother break free from her Ice prison."
"Ah... well, your hearts in the right place but kid, do you know how many years it would take to reach the Skylord stage? You will die before you ever get there, especially with your talent."
"No, I have no idea about cultivation realms and how long it will take to get there. But trust me, if there is a will then there is a way, I will work hard to achieve this goal. Even if it takes a life time." His words were proud and it made people want to believe in them.
"Well said, then let me tell you kid. First you have to break through the ten layers of Qi condensation, after that is the Spirit Realm, followed by the True Spirit realm. Skylord is realm so far away you can only dream about it. Do you know how many Skylords there are in Bee Country? None, there isn't a single one. It's not only hard, it's close to impossible but here's the thing. It's not impossible; if you are lucky enough you might find some heavenly opportunities and make it there."
Gulp
The more Amidamaru spoke the more excited Fuyo got.
"Then I will be the first Skylord of Bee country." He stuck his arm into the air and made this profound statement. His words were filled with confidence and overwhelming charisma, like a God that had descended to the mortal realm for sightseeing. The fire in his eyes was undeniable and unquenchable.
"I like your spunk, with unwavering determination like that you could do it. What do you think?" Amidamaru turned to Kaguya.
A light shun from her eyes and entered Amidamaru. Amidamaru's form changed and turned into a white spirit bee. It was a Kaguya!
She turned around and hugged Fuyo tightly.
"Don't grow up too fast alright." She kissed his head and brushed her hand through his hair. Her image then changed and the mist swirled and turned back into Amidamaru.
"She can only maintain her form for a few seconds; she will have to sleep for 3 months now."
"Okay then, when she awakens I will surprise her by breaking into the True Spirit realm!"

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14
