《Bloodline》Chapter - 7

Inside the main hall once everyone had gathered around a pool of blood from all sides that was when Daemon finally stood up releasing some pressure inside the hearts of all those who were in the hall waiting patiently.
“Kneel”
Once those words were uttered every single child that was standing there got on one knee as they looked down, they couldn’t stand the pressure that was being aimed at their bodies so they had no choice but to kneel not that they had any choice whatsoever.
“Welcome to the baptism that will enable you children who have been blessed to be born into such a Family such as this, truly a blessing on your behalf, if I didn’t know any better I’d say you were extremely well behaved in your past life to have such an opportunity haha” Daemon was smiling despite being extremely scary earlier.
Raegar completely understood this crazy old man nature he truly didn’t want to ever disappoint this old man just thinking of the methods he would employ to take care of you sends shivers down his spine.
“The reason we conduct this baptism ceremony is to allow you to awaken your inherited strength that flows in your blood this is the strength given to you by our Ancestor Redding, the flaming thunder god dragon himself. Be proud you carry such bloodline, do not bring shame and taint this bloodline or you will undoubtly bring forth the wrath of the entire clan on you. Conduct yourself in the future with both pride and awareness, do not let arrogance cloud your judgement for that is that last thing we hope for you. You may be more gifted than most children in the world but there is always someone stronger than although we have yet to meet such a being. Alas the important thing I am trying to tell you is to never look down on another person, you may be stronger than him, you may be smarter than him and you might even be wealthier than him. But all those things were provided to you because of the bloodline that flows through those veins of yours. You did not earn anything yourself and until you are truly powerful yourself treat others as you would like to be treated”
“Don’t misunderstand either I am not asking you to avoid problems at all costs others who look down on you or treat you like insects that they can crush beneath their feet, this life of yours is more important than a thousand normal people some might even say a hundred thousand. This life is yours and don’t ever let yourself be in a position where another person can dictate whether you have the right to live or not unless it’s for the Clan itself! Do you hear me younglings?”
The few hundred young kids below who were hearing such a speech were both humbled and had their blood surging at the same time with excitement in their eyes, you could visibly see the wild side to them in their eyes.
“Yes Patriarch!” the children replies in unison.
“Good! As some of you may have questions regarding this Baptism itself I can only tell you that others may stay in the pool longer than some others but that does not mean you haven’t successfully inherited the strength you were born to inherit merely that some bloodlines are more purer than others. Another thing you need to know is that those with 70% pure blood can also activate special skills in their eyes which our Elders and Generals possess. If you do not inherit it then you do not need to be discouraged as your future potential isn’t halted in anyway. Some of you might even be lucky enough to awaken our second element which the ability to gain absolute control over thunder which is rare in our clan right now. Now stand up and walk into the pool” Daemon finally stopped explaining and sat down on his throne.

The kids eyes were all sparkling they understood they had special eyes to begin with as they could see very far, as well the ability which seemed to slow down an opponent’s movements as long they concentrated enough but they wanted more. They all wanted to awaken the thunder element which their clan prided themselves in the most tyrannical element in the world, which explains why it’s exceedingly rare to awaken.
Raegan began walking towards the pool as soon as his grandfather gave the order, he looked around him to find the rest of the kids still kneeling down and waiting for him and his brother to enter the pool before them. Once Raegan understood behind the meaning he just smiled and continued to walk until he was at the centre of the pool then crossed his legs and sat in meditative position.
Raegar following what his brother was doing decided to sit next to him and begin to absorb the blood in the pool to refine his body and blood cells to awaken his ability, also hoping to gain the second element. Although he personally preferred fire element it came easy to him it was also more powerful than his genius brother.
The rest of the kids entered slowly until and did the same, the pool began to glow a light red colour and suddenly a rich qi was in the entire hall rotating around the pool and air space above it. The adults seeing this were pleased and only smiled while they observed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raegan was inside his consciousness adjusting his breathing and burning sensation inside the back of his mind so he started to observe the changes within him. His entire body was warm and blood cells were unceasingly absorbing the blood inside the pool as if they were hungry and devouring them. He began to float with him noticing.
Deep inside his consciousness a pair slit eyes the same as Raegan opened but these eyes were yellow instead of crimson red which his family had. Raegan noticed this and began to investigate only to find these pair of two glowing yellow eyes staring back at him, at first he was frightened. He then calmed himself down.
Suddenly the pair of eyes moved the pair of eyes looked down on him and he observed the body of the creature, the scales, and the height of a regular mountain stretching for hundreds meters. The odd thing was those pair of eyes it was as if electricity was dancing in those eyes and ready to be unleashed and descend upon him at any moment.
He concluded this was a dragon a dragon red scaled dragon with electricity lines dancing on its body the colour being yellow. In his previous world he was only ever use to blue electricity and nothing more.
“What is your name young one?” The dragons voice was deep striking fear into others hearts.
Raegan had been awaken from his daze once he heard the voice, he understood that this being was far above anything or anyone he has ever met so far and that was saying a lot considering his cruel grandfather was still alive and kicking.

“Raegan honourable one” Raegan slightly bowed he didn’t want to offend this thing in his mind he did not wish to die so soon after all.
“You do not need to fear me young one, after all we are of the same blood if anything I am protective of you” The dragon simply stated as if it could smell the fear on him.
Raegan was a little shocked but being smart as he is he concluded this dragon must be a kin to his clan as they were of the dragon bloodline themselves.
“What is your name honourable one? And what are you doing here in my consciousness” Raegan had of course many more questions but that was the most important ones he could ask.
“You do not need to know who I am as of yet, however congratulations on inheriting the second element as well as the power of my eyes. Do not disappoint me young Raegan, I will be watching” the dragon suddenly extended a claw and pointed at the space between Raegan’s eyebrows after that it closed its eyes and went back to sleep.
Raegan suddenly felt his mind go blank and his body heating up even more, both of his eyes felt as if someone was burning them and he began to scream.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Raegar had the same experience as his brother but he didn’t know this yet. He was absorbing as much as he could before he hit a bottleneck but suddenly a pair of eyes opened that were scarlet red. He looked back a little more courageously than Raegan but he was still scared shitless.
“….”
They continued to stare at each other for good 30 seconds before Raegar took the initiative to talk first.
“This is getting awkward, could you please explain yourself why you are here? This isn’t your house to be sleeping” Raegar was a little too bold with his comment.
“…”
Suddenly the dragon burst into loud laughter “You are truly a weirdo, you know you should thank whoever you inherited those looks from otherwise you would be doomed to be a virgin for the rest of your life”
“What is a virgin?” Raegar was a little annoyed with this loud fellow spouting nonsense.
“Right you are only 7 years old this year how could I corrupt kids this is unbecoming of me I am glad no one was here to see this” The dragon awkwardly sighed with his foolishness.
“How do you know I am only 7 this year?” Raegar was growing more and more suspicious with this overgrown lizard.
“Because you are of the Redding clan otherwise we would’ve never met actually let alone meet I wouldn’t even waste my breath on you and look at you. Mmm, you are truly lucky to be born of such a Clan” The dragon as if pleased with himself continued to nod his head.
Raegar finally snapped he couldn’t take anyone looking down on him “Listen you overgrown lizard my father once said not to converse with things you eat so it can’t be helped that right now you are in my consciousness. Mmm, you are truly fortunate not be eaten by this Prince” Raegar explained himself while nodding.
“….”
The dragon suddenly released a tarrying energy and he suddenly stood up spread it’s wings and looked down at Raegar in an arrogant, contempt, disdainful way.
“Take a look you short midget of a human and bow before my magnificent self, a true dragon, to dare call me a lizard if you were not a Redding I would have devoured your soul. Lucky for you I am both understanding and patient with a kid such as yourself, so let me ask do you wish to inherit my power or not?” The red dragon finally had enough of his nonsense.
“Count your blessing I do not have a draconic body otherwise I would show off my wings too, what power do you have for me to inherit you can’t trick me” Raegar at last developed a little respect for this dragon.
“I can see you are efficient inn using fire attribute based attacks, and your affinity with the element itself is truly not bad so its sufficient for you to inherit this old man’s power” The red dragon was pondering what those other fellows would think if they discovered he had such a pure blooded Redding inherit his power.
Raegar once he heard this was excited his eyes began to shine “I’m sorry for my disrespectful behaviour earlier honoured one, please excuse this little one I have much to learn” Raegar grew more respectful of this Dragon once he heard he would gain something powerful that was fire based.
“Hooo I guess it’s not too late for you yet little one, tell me what is your name?” The dragon was finally satisfied with his attitude.
“I am Raegar Redding, second born of Raehor, grandson of Daemon Patriarch of the Redding clan” Raegar fully introduced himself.
“I see you’ve truly been blessed indeed, merely I didn’t expect you’d have an older brother, alas it’s none of my business. Do not move” The red dragon points his claw at the space between Raegar’s eyebrows.
Raegar’s body suddenly began to heat up even more as if he was in a bath of flames he gritted his teeth at first to suppress screaming out but that was too much to bear for this young boy’s body to handle and he screamed out just like his brother.

"I'm Screwed" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This story uses the system derived by Puddles4263 in Randidly Ghosthound. I've incorporates the Path's system into the leveling of this story. Some of the beginning paths will be similar or the same as I thought that the starting paths were very logical on how a system should start. The stories will be completely different as the characters and story arcs will be completely different. Again, thank you Puddles for allowing me to use your system, really appreciate it! I also wanted to thank ProFound Magician. Has a lot of insight into a story development and as his system is based on Ghosthound, I saw a some beginning stage skills that should be thought of in a character just starting out. If you haven't yet read Ghosthound or Genesis System you're in for a real treat when you do! Thank you both I hope my use is seen as an homage in the beginning. Hopefully my story can live up to the system.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
