"G-General Fhartu, on the left flank, also doing their own to pursue the enemies, those who chase the enemy are 3000 total of them" the messenger looks terrified if this news can cause him to split his head with a second
"Who is the enemy and how many of the enemy that attacked us?" asked General Fhartu
"they are four of them, they are the Garyuk clan, the Hakk tribe, the Sanain, and some random raiders from nowhere. Each of them is 100-200 men or so"
Suddenly, there is another messenger that comes with a rush to General Fhartu," sorry for interrupting my lord, I come to give reports from the front line and the sky riders. An enemy has been sight in front of us, their total is unknown but the sky riders have confirmed that that's is the human army"
General Fhartu response with silent, thinking about his situation that occurs his now, and he smiles," I got the grasp about what happens to us right now, tell all the leaders, annihilate those insects right now!" orders by General Fhartu
"Yes, my lord!" said those two messengers
"sound the battle drum, we will kill those in front of us here"
"But, my lord, what about those tribes who keep bugging us from the start? shouldn't we focus on them since they are the famous tribe known through the land?" said Luk, one of the vice general for General Fhartu
"I hate idiot creatures," said General Fhartu with a sigh," Captain Shan!!"
"You see, sir Luk, those tribes are one of them, the human army. And their objective is to separate us to become small in number. And when they succeed, the 'real' unit will come out once those units accomplished their objectives... and just like general predict, they have come out" said Shan Ro Yi, Captain for all leaders in General Fhartu's division
"Hmm, that's my captain! always sharp at the time like this... unlike this empty brain demon" General Fhartu sneering at Luk

"forgive for my ignorance, my lord. Then, what should we do? they might twice the number than us!" asked Luk
General Fhartu releases the heavy sigh," I'm tired to think! captain Shan, tell this idiot how the high officer should think"
"Forgive for my action, sir Luk. I think we should confront them with all of our front lines. For the first place, we already have an agreement with those humans in Lorc's area, that we will not attack them if they agreed to not lend an army to Jega's area. The agreement is we gained the fame for taking the human's area and for them. they will take full control of Jega. And I believed that that army must be the remnant of Jega, and that's why they have divided into these four units" explained captain Shan with clear
"You!! then why we must take the risk to do the agreement with these low life creatures? we can take the whole country all by ourselves without their help!"
"we must not take the risk to lose our men in great number. If there's another way besides war, then we should use it. Besides, this unit in front of us with a high probability, might a small number, and with our greatness in number. sheer strength and the talented officers like you, vice general and others we have... we can swoop them in one go," captain Shan bow his head to Luk, shows his respect for him.
"W-well, if you already said that much, I guess we don't have any choice but to follow your plan," said Luk with blushing
"your decision is wise, sir Luk," said Captain Shan, making General Fhartu laughing hard
"Alright!!, sound the battle drum!! tell to the front line to ready for the battle. All elite units are staying with the general! Shan Ro Yi, lead your men to battle and take the enemy leader's head!" order Luk

"Yes, sir!"
"Hiantorhino, you and your family are the biggest in our army. Use your strength to lead us a complete victory!" said Luk
"With your permission, sir Luk," said the leader of Hiantorhino

at unit 1
They already engage the enemy, but they seem not be able to pull the enemy to get out from their formation.
"Sir! it's been a while we fight them, but they seem not triggered by our disguise," said his assistant
"Yeah, I know. Just keep running and shoot them, avoid any pointless physical battle," said Tesmon while shooting to his enemy's eye
Tesmon keeps shooting with his arrow at the enemy while thinking. Then he notices that there's a movement in the middle of the enemy formation. His feeling tells him that something bad is going to happen if he doesn't do anything to break the formation of enemy
"This is bad... All men listen to me!! forget to pull the enemy. Right now we must circle around their formation to give they're a hard time for our comrade. Split into two group. The other group go in the opposite direction. This group, follow me!!" said Tesmon while sprinting
"Why suddenly changed our objective? shouldn't we must pull the enemy for the sake of the main unit??" said one of them, trying to catch close to Tesmon
"I think the enemy has already found out. If we do not do something, the main unit might be a big trouble. We must circle them, attack their vital point. How many of arrows do you have left?" asked Tesmon
"about 200 or less, that's same for the others"
"200? that's not enough for holding them to their ground," said Tesmon
"Cap'n, there's enemy behind us, 300... no, 1000 demons are ride toward us, what should we do?" that man looks terrified
"Damn it, what are they doing here!" Tesmon firing his arrows at them.
those Demon riders are separate from the formation by the orders from one of the leaders in that unit, Anon, he even joins the ride to annihilate Tesmon group.," Where are you going, you imposter bastards!" said him
"Kill them!!" shout one of the demons
"Eat their flesh!!"
Those shout by the demons caused some of the men in Tesmon group were scared by it," I knew it, I shouldn't come here for this suicide glory" said them
"go away, go away!!" said one of them with fire at them with random shots of arrows. Those demons have laughed when that group shots randomly without accuracy.
"You're not going anywhere, you livestock!!," said Anon while firing his arrow, hit through the head of one of the men from Tesmon group. When he fell to the ground, some of the group of those demons stop chasing them and eat that man with merciless and rough,"D-don't... I don't want... to... die" plead that man but been ignore by them.
"Harlem!!!" shout his friend, trying to go back to save his friend but being consoled by his companion
"Don't stop running, keep firing at them," command Tesmon
From earlier, when he sees the enemy on his sight, he doesn't stop shooting rapidly at them with accuracy. He keeps shooting to his foes whenever they were in his range. he takes his arrow on his back and shoot. The loop of that movement never stops until he notices when he grabs his recent arrow.
He releases a heavy sigh, he knew from the start that he might not get out from this war, alive," 50 left huh" his tired expression shows when he grabs his arrow.

The friends found themselves home in the real world, exactly as they'd been the night they were taken, as if no time had passed... except only three came back. Hi there! This was my entry for National Novel Writing Month, because why only write one series at a time? The more the merrier! (meanwhile, my keyboard bursts into flames...) I'm also the writer of The Last Science, an ongoing low-fantasy/speculative sci-fi series. If you're familiar with that, you know what to expect here: lots of character-focused drama and dialogue, not a whole lot of traditional action. However, I'm writing a bit differently than usual here, and in a very different structure, so there should be some surprises for returning readers. I hope you enjoy it! [Discord] — for those of you who want to hang out and chat. Cover art (fullsize): Path of Revelation, by taenaron (Tobias Roetsch), modified by Etzoli. Normally I like to do my own cover art from scratch, but I was in a rush for the contest. Might be replaced down the line if I get time. Right as Rage
Only 15 years have passed since the miscreant god, Villi, stole magic from the gods and gave it to mortals. In response the mortals seem to be doing their best to squander this gift. The Kingdom of Abrune regulates it, the church of the Sacred Hierarchies outright condemns it, but one 'wildman' from across the sea begins his journey after being cursed by it. Vakdragnar's curse manifests when he loses his temper. It has driven everyone he’s ever cared about away from him. Out of options and money, he travels to the city of Tirough and quickly finds himself on the wrong side of the law. He is persecuted despite his intentions to do good. How can you stand against evil if everyone you’re trying to protect thinks you’re the villain? And if this curse is truly a part of him now, what if they’re right? **************************************************************************************************** Right as Rage is a story I’ve been excited to write for some time now. I hope everyone is as excited to read it. This story is going to be told over several arcs, with each arc containing 7-12 chapters, and an interlude or two each. I plan on submitting new chapters once a week on Tuesday evenings.

To honor the source material's Dungeons and Dragons roots, I will be rolling dice throughout the development of this story. Everyone has a character sheet. From combat encounters to social interactions, everything that can be rolled will be rolled. See how a natural 1 can turn the tide of a battle, how a successful intimidation check can subvert a fight, or how deception can reveal critical info.
