Kurenami looked at Kanami, who was grinning. The girl named Cellica had already left. Kristina stood back up and Kurenami did the same.
"Any idea on how to beat him?" Kurenami asked.
Kristina examined Kanami, looking at him. She noticed these rods sticking out of Kanami's robotic eye. The rods then were back sticked on a part of his face.
"His robotic eye... And the rods... That could be his weakspot." Kristina explained, as she held her dagger tigher.
Kurenami's adrenaline rush became worse, as she could almost hear her heartbeat. She had confidence in Kristina, but deep from inside she knew that defeating Kanami was impossible. Kanami's eyes widened up.
"She is right... The eye is my weak spot." Kanami said. They both were shocked.
"You know my weakness, but you know you won't even put a scratch on my body." Kanami said grinning.
Kristina smirked.
"We'll see about that!" She then shouted, as she charged.
Kurenami was spacing out but she shook her head, charging after Kristina. Kristina swung her dagger, but clashed with Kanami's tail. Kurenami's tail flanked from the right, but Kanami blocked that too. Kurenami's tails took position in a way that it blocked Kanami's way of escape, surrounding him.
"What do you do now, you have nowhere to run to." Kristina said.
"Oh I do..." Kanami replied, grinning.
Kanami slammed the floor beneath them, as he jumped to the inside of the building. Kurenami looked through the hole, as suddenly tails grew from the ground straight at them. One of the tails scarred Kurenami on her cheek, as she then started dodging. Kristina started dodging the tails too who were coming out of the floor. Kurenami and Kristina kept dodging the tails that grew out of the ground. Suddenly the tails dissapeared.
"Behind you..." Kanami whispered behind Kurenami's ear.
Kurenami quickly turned to get hit by Kanami's leg. Kristina charged Kanami but a tail slammed her away. Kurenami tried standing up, but Kanami put his knee on her chest, making her unable to stand up. Kanami started to punch Kurenami in the face, without stopping. Kurenami tried to block the punches, but the tails surrounded her arms and pull her arms away from her face.
I couldn't believe it... I trusted one person more than anybody in the world…
but he was currently punching me in the face...
Kurenami grew a tail from her back and punched Kanami away with the tail. Kanami got pushed away, but landed on his feet. Kurenami slowly stood up, as she started to get dizzy. The tail blocking Kristina dissapeared. Kristina stood up. Kanami slammed his tail straight at Kurenami, but she dodged it. Kurenami ended up next to Kristina.

"What now?..." Kurenami asked Kristina. Kristina smirked.
"I have one idea, with that we might be able to destory his robotic eye..." Kristina explained, as she started to whisper her plan.
Kanami looked at the both of them, following up with a grin.
"Whatever you do, you will not defeat me..." Kanami said, grinning.
"We'll se about that..." Kristina replied, smirking once again.
"...Let's go!" She shouted, as she charged Kanami.
Kristina clashed her dagger with Kanami's tail. The tail smacked her away. Kurenami attack with one tail, as their tails clashed. Suddenly Krisitina sprinted straigh at Kanami.
"NOW!" Kristina shouted, as she slided through between Kanami's legs.
Kanami's eyes followed Kristina until she slided between her legs, when he looked down a hole appeared from the ground. Kurenami jumped out the hole, raising her fist back.
"CATCH THIS!" Kurenami shouted, as she uppercutted him.
Kurenami landed back on her two feet, and took multiple steps back, Kristina was on the other side. A laugh could be heard.
"Eheh... Heheheh..." Kanami was laughing as he looked at Kurenami. His robotic eye's rods were destroyed and his other eye was bleeding.
"...Now you've done it!" Kanami shouted, as his eyes widened up.
Was he going insane? Kurenami thought, without lowering her guard.
Just before Kurenami could say anything, Kanami dissapeared, and appeared back behind her. Kurenami turned and clashed her arms with Kanami's tails. Kristina flanked, but Kanami slammed her into the ground. Kanami's eye was glowing brighter and the grin on his face too Kurenami off guard, slamming her next to Kristina. Kurenami was exhausted, she tried standing up, but her mind told her something else:
Why are we trying anyway? We can't defeat him... The thoughts were floating around her mind, as she refused to stand up anymore, she was done for, the same went for Kristina. But Kristina yet stood up.
"Kristina... We can't defeat him- ?!" While Kurenai wasn't done talking, Kristina charged Kanami.
She swung her dagger. Kanami dodged, and then punched her in the face. Kristina fell on the ground, as she let her dagger fell. Kristina looked at her dagger, trying to crawl towards it. And just when she grabbed it, Kanami put his foot onto her hand.
"Argh!...." Kristina shouted in pain. Kanami grinned.
"What is it? Lost hope?" Kanami said, as he grinned.
He then grabbed her by the neck, throwing her into the ground next to Kurenami. Kurenami could hear bones snap from her distance. She won't be standing up too... Kurnemai thought. Her eyes widened up as she saw Kristina stand up. Blood was dripping out of her head.

"Kristina stop it, We lost-" "We haven't lost yet..." Kristina interrupted her.
"You... I can't believe you..." Kristina said.
Kurenami's eyes widened up.
"When I met you... I thought you were strong, determined, brave..." Kristina mumbled.
"...But after a while, even though we just met, I can see it..." Kristina followed up.
"...From the outer side you look strong, but deep down, you are just weak... and scared." Kristina continued.
Kurenami's eyes widened up, once again.
"You give up too early... If you don't make it in one try, you stop, thinking you can't do it..." Kristina continued.
"...But you almost don't even try... So..." Kristina mumbled.
"I- " "... Don't do it for yourself, at least do it for me damn it!" Kristina shouted, interrupting Kurenami.
She didn't know what to say, but only to agree. It was true... She always have been like this. Kurenami slowly stood up, as her heatbeart started to become louder.
"What you like to do is give up, because something doesn't work your way..." Kristina said.
"... But you have me, you know?" Kristina followed up looking at her.
Kristina smirked.
"At least see me as your partner." She followed up.
Her eyes widened up.
The moment felt like a movie, as if their souls just became one. Kurenami grabbed her hand.
"All right... Let's do this..." Kurenami mumbled.
Kurenami felt something, a different heartbeat. Could it be Kristina's? The heartbeat started to get in sync with hers, as if they were powering up. Both started to get surrounded by an aura. Kanami's eyes widened up.
"That can't be..." Kanami mumbled.
"AAARGH!" Kurenami and Kristina both shouted, as they powered up.
The aura blasted everywhere, as he burst of wind flied with it. They both had a fire aura on their eyes. Suddenly Kurenami and Kristina's hair color swapped. Kristina had a red aura and Kurenami a blue one. They both leaned back.
"GET READY!" They both shouted at the same time, as they charged.
They went in lightspeed. Kanami couldn't see where they were at all, hitting him one another. They were so fast Kanami couldn't target them. Kristina then uppercutted Kanami high into air. Kanami recovered mid-air but saw Kurenami charge, as she swung her fist. Everything went in slow motion. Kamai summoned his tail, but he missed.
Kurenami noticed something. Kanami was smiling, and he had a tear on his eye. Kurenami's eyes widened up, when she wanted to back off her fist, but it was too late. The punch hit him straight in his chest, making him fly through multiple buildings. The buildings followed up with a collapse. Kurenami landed back onto the roof where Kristina was waiting for her. Both their kurenai's deactived and their hair color turned back to normal.
"Kurenami, we did it!" Kristina shouted in enjoyment, as suddenly the weather turned back to normal.
A group of people teleported onto the roof. They were all the other people, including Yuudai, who was being held up by Sherman and Lio.
"C- Congrats..." Yuudai said to both of them.
"Oh, it was no big deal~" Kristina replied, proud.
"Riiight, Kurenami? Kurenami??" Kristina turned as she didn't reply.
Kurenami was looking down.
"I- I am sorry... I am such a burden, am I?" Kurenami mumbled.
"You aren't, you just needed a little push..." Kristina replied.
Kurenami slowly looked up, as the sun suddenly lightened up the place.
"...It won't happen again though, because we got your back!" Kristina said, proudly once again, as she reached her hand out.
Kurenami started tearing up, as she fell on her knees and hugged Kristina. Kurenami followed up with a loud shout and then started crying in relief.
Kanami... I know you missed on purpose...
Your smile... Your help... I will never forget both of those,
and I hope you see my future with me, fromout your Kurenai... Thank you...

A man looked from the distance to the two of them, the man was really old and had a cane. A kid was standing next to him with white and red jacket.
"Good thing we didn't needed to interfere, eh?" The old man said, looking at the kid.
"Don't worry, you'll make your entrance one day, Red..." The old man followed up.
The kid looked at him. "...Yes, Master Ludoshi." The kid replied, as his eyes were glowing brightly....

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews. The human realm will spare no expense to bring down this monstruous threat. While clinging to his humanity, the troll must use his cunning and modern knowledge to survive and evade the hunters. The Troll comitted this sin. This "isekai' LitRPG novel is an experiment in writing. We commit to the "Adventure" and "Fantasy" genres, but it might have comedy, romance, and both dark and light tones.
