Lio quickly jumped back, dodging the tails that were charging straight at him. Lio then charged straight at him. A tail went straight for him but he slided, dodging the tail. Sherman followed Lio up and flanked from the right. Sherman swung his fist straight at the person, but a tail appeared and blocked his fist. Another tail flanked Lio from his right. Lio spinkicked it out of the way and swung his dagger, the person quickly dodged and slammed his fist into his chest. Another tail charged Lio and slammed him away. Sherman teleports back and catches Lio just before he hits the wall.
"You good?" Sherman asked Lio.
"Y- Yeah... Just not used to it." Lio said, as he stood back up.
A glowing golden aura started to surround Lio.
"My turn..." Lio said, as four wings grew out of back.
"...It took me a while to get those wings back, so I won't go easy on you!" Lio shouted, as he bursted straight to him.
Lio grabbed his dagger and swung it straight at the person, the person leaned back and dodged it. Multiple tails then charged straight to Lio, but he blocked them with his wings. The man made a backflip, kicking Lio away. The person quickly charged back to Lio as a sharp rod grew out of his palm, he swung it straight to Lio. Lio blocked it with his dagger.
"NOW!" Lio shouted, as from behind Sherman appeared, his robotic arm was glowing.
"Dodge this!" Sherman shouted, as he slammed the person into the ground. The person bounced from the ground and Sherman spinkicked him into the wall. Lio's Kurenai dissapeared. Just when everything quieted down, a laugh could be heard.
"Heh...Heheh...Hahaha..." Lio's eyes widened up.
"H- How can you even stand up?" Lio said in shock, as the person slowly stood up.
"Man I should've not toyed with you guys..." The person said.

"Who are you?" Sherman asked, changing the subject.
"My name? Is that really necessary?" The person replied.
"...Fine, you'll die so it won't matter..." The person followed up, as his eye glew brighter than before.
"... The name is Kanami..." The person said, as he looked at both of them.
"... But I am not your main villain, I am just the messenger for Kami No Chitsujo." Kanami followed up.
"Kami No Chitsujo? So you work with them?" Sherman asked.
"Yes you could say that..." Kanami said, as his tails grew back and shaped into sharp knifes.
"...Now are you guys cleared up?" Kanami asked.
"Yes..." Sherman mumbled.
"...Thank you for not resisting." Sherman followed up.
As suddenly the exit behind Kanami slammed open.
"Thanks for telling something bad was going on, you two." Someone said, there were two people at the door.
One of them was Nobu,
"Good, because it looks like we made it just in time." the other one said, the person next to Nobu was Zaine.
Yuudai got an emergency call from Sherman who was at The Main Hall. Yuudai then ordered Nobu and Zaine to check out what happened.
"Nobu, let's do that combo..." Zaine said, looking at Nobu.
Nobu smirked.
"Sure thing..." Nobu replied, as they took an attack pose.
They both leaned back, as they followed up boosting forward to Kanami. Zaine boosted again, skipping Nobu, as he leaned his hand back with the dagger, ready to swing.
"CATCH THIS!" Zaine shouted, as Nobu's eyes glew brighter then before.
"GOD'S ABILITY: WORM HOLE!" They both shouted, as two holes appeared, one infront of Zaine, the other underneath Kanami.
Zaine's arm went through one hole and out the other. Kanami noticed the arm underneath him, as it swung for its face. Kanami leaned back, but the dagger scarred his robotic eye.
"Gh- You little..." He mumbled, as he kicked the dagger out of Zaine's hand.

The dagger flew into the air and Zaine pulled his hand out the hole. Both holes dissapeared and Kanami tried catching the dagger, but Zaine spinkicked him into the wall and caught the dagger at the same time. Zaine smirked.
"Nice job, Nobu." Zaine complimented Nobu, as Nobu smirked back.
"Lio, Sherman, get the others out of here, we'll make sure nothing follows you." Zaine then followed up.
Lio and Sherman nodded, as they ran back.
"Good, now let's get this kid out of here and everything can turn back to normal." Nobu said.
A laugh could be heard, it was Kanami. Kanami slowly pulled himself out of the wall.
"Did you really think we were this stupid?" Kanami said, as he looked at the two of them.
"Did you two really think..." Kanami mumbled.
"... I was the only one planning this?" Kanami followed up.
The both were shocked. Kanami showed a walkie talkie in his hand, he pressed on the talk button.
"Checkmate." He said, as he grinned. The radio replied with
"CHECKMATE CONFIRMED, STARTING OPERATION."

Kurenami blocked Kristina's attacks. Kurenami was shocked and impressed at the same time, she was blocking everything. Suddenly Krisitina swing kicked her stick our of her hand and swung the stick straight at her. Kurenami closed her eyes out of fear but the stick stopped next to her neck.
"You get proud too easily..." Kristina said, as a cold reaction.
"...But it deserved a break, for now." Krisitina followed up, as he put the stick away from her neck.
Kurenami let out a sigh and fell on her back, she was pretty tired.
"Looks like you're doing your best." Michiko said, as she threw a towel to Kurenami's face.
Kurenami wiped her sweat off.
"Thank you." she replied politely.
"No problem." Michiko replied.
The place then went awkwardly silent.
"So... Your dad is 'The' Lio, eh?" Kurenami said, trying to get a conversation to start.
" 'The' Lio? He isn't that special of a person." Michiko replied.
Kurenami stood up.
"Whaaat?!" She said shocked.
"Your dad has, like, the coolest kurenai!" She said.
"People that don't see how lucky they are, annoys me the most!" Kurenami followed up.
"He has those cool wings that show how many lifes he has, and even ignoring that, he is almsot like a cat!" Kurenami said honored.
"A... Cat?" Michiko asked, confused.
"Yeah! Like, you know how a cat has nine lives." Kurenami said.
"But he doesn't have nine-" "Doesn't matter! It's awesome!" Kurenami interrupted Michiko and bumped onto someone.
"Oh- !!" When she turned back she shrieked and fell to the ground. It were Lio and Sherman.
"You were talking about me?" Lio said, as he pointed to himself.
Lio got a really happy smile on his face, and slowly turned to Sherman.
"Sherman.... Looks like I have fans earlier than you-" -Smack!-
Sherman smacked him on the back of his head.
"OUCH!" "Silence!" Sherman shouted after Lio.
Yuudai teleported infront of Lio and Sherman, but behind Kurenami and Michiko.
"Welcome back..." Yuudai said.
"...What do you have as intel?" Yuudai followed up.
"Nobu and Zaine are holding him off, we let the civilians safely out of the building." Sherman explained.
"We'll who are the targets?" Yuudai asked.
"You wouldn't expect it... but it is..." Lio said.
"... Kanami, with one lost eye." Lio followed up, on a slower tone.
Kurenami's eyes widened up, as she looked down.
"W-... Who?" Kurenami mumbled.
"Is it someone you know- ?!" As Lio was talking she looked up, as she had tears on her eyes.
"We need to go back to them... Now." Kurenami mumbled.
The others looked shocked...

"I get the feeling this story might be one of those 'diamonds in the rough'. The premise is quite solid, there's plenty of room to flesh out the characters. It's quite easy to get into and be engaged by at the moment, imo. I don't know where the story will go from here, but it's off to a good start me thinks." - Xenower Attribution: The cave picture in the book cover is made by Stanislav Sedov and is licensed under CC-BY-SA-2.0 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0/ This picture was modified from the original with an overlaid moon and sea picture to be found at https://www.flickr.com/photos/ssedov/26342569905 The photographer has no affiliation to Tschallacka nor can be held accountable for the use of this picture the way as it is here.
