《God isn't dead, He's just broke》Chapter 6: I'd probably go to jail for this, but one. God pardons me, and two, the evidence is ash

"Magic is a tricky subject with nor right or wrong ends or pieces. Are we talking Magic Systems?"
"Like the runes and rituals that one Felloe in the Void made? Or just the Imagine System, believe it or not, that's not Magic's natural form!"
"But if not that, are we talking about schools of Magic? Like that of Healing or Evocation? To name a few."
"What about Affinities? Which is just Magic given a preferred form like Water and Fire, but also Dream and Baby Milk."
"If not that? Then what about paths, areas of growth that help push casters in a specific direction."
"If not that, then what about Images? The perfect view of one's magic?"
"All I'm saying is, is that Magic is far more complicated than wave your hands and eat some Bat Shit and boom a random fireball abortions itself into existence. Don't ask why I used abortion, my wife's still angry about that."
- Quote from God Teacher Matthew's lecture about the 'Fucking Importance! Of choosing the right Magic System'. Before the 'Incident'.
Bucket slowly drank the last health potion in the bloody room. It had just been five minutes since Bucket's rampage and orphan murdering.
The children's bodies laying on the ground, having been ripped apart during the chaos of the battle. Bucket's skills of mangling heretics had transitioned seamlessly to mangling children. Though there wasn't much difference between them and the heretics in his eyes.
They were just shorter pagan worshippers who hadn't yet become the murdering conniving bastards that their fathers and mothers had become.
So Bucket had just shortened the line of work his brothers at his home temple would have had to do when he got back.
Bucket finished drinking the green amber liquid that had constituted a health potion in the city. It had disgusted him that he had to drink such vulgar garbage instead of the true recipe. But Bucket knew a stomach bleaching ritual when this was over. And he had cast the ritual that showed him how much time he had till he would become a pagan.
Bucket glanced at his menu.
You have drunk a Pagan Health Potion, you have three hours till you lose your Knight class.
He had three hours till he would become a pagan and had to kill himself. It was more than enough time to kill Albert and bleach his stomach.
He may even level up his class while he was at it.
Billy was looking at the nonchalant Knight as he leisurely walked away from the massacre he had committed. Billy knew religion and drinking the holy Koolaid had caused a lot of weird and horrible shit to happen.
His class on the subject had left little of his mind unscarred after he finished it.
But Billy would've thought there wasn't enough of the elements that created such a religion in his First World to have such a thing.
Apparently, it still hadn't, mostly because such an environment had already been created long before Billy checked on his First World.
Thousands of Cult's had arisen. Worshipping God's that they had created on their own through sheer belief and a crappy system. With a few like Flappy having been brought over through some random event. His mom had always disliked his bird.
Then, after the Pantheons of the world's significant cultures formed. The genocide of a much smaller one had occurred but through some cultural mash-up. It turns out the Death God was the great-great-great-great-great-great-great-Grand-great-great Grandson of Octario's.
And the Pantheon which had destroyed the culture. The Pantheon being Flappy's one apparently, had just accidentally declared a divine war.

Add another war with the remaining Pantheons who hadn't chosen a side over a misplaced coffee and some domestic trade issues. And by the time the dust had settled. Every last church(or cult) had been imparted with genocidal tendencies.
With the added benefit of the System having been torn to near shreds after the war. Plenty of cultures blamed each other for the loss of the thing that had helped them survive.
Add some nausea, political flame baiting. And a touch of inbreeding, and you got today's churches. Which were a-okay with child murder if said children worshipped someone else.
This would be vaguely okay due to the fact that most kingdoms don't declare religious wars every day and everyone had to take a break everyone once in a while.
But through some insane cultural drift. Suddenly 99% of the population was of a different religion, meaning they had to be purged.
The system giving away random racial traits to everybody and some side-effect memory manipulation had not helped.
And that was just a basic rundown of this fuckfest! Why did his bird have to do something so fucking stupid! Couldn't it have not murdered the random very thinly related grandson of another god!
Billy sighed and looked back at the city in disappointment. Wilton's Orphanage had just been destroyed by some monster named Albert.
He was currently looking through what had created the damn thing when he noticed that it said the creature was a wizard part of the great calamity.
The magic apocalypse didn't concern him, every world did that once every several millennia. But he did remember to check The Hole's Magic System.
With a flick of his thoughts. Billy dragged up some of the screens showing up in his vision. The screen's held all the magical info he needed.
Magic Level 5 Mana Production 235 Mana Reduction -17 Manalogical Activness 25 System Governance 4
Billy's eyes widened at the info he was looking at.
For a quick run down. Magic Level was the general populations knowledge of magic. Mana Pro and Reduc were self-explanatory. Manalogical Activness meant how active magic was, how many Unicron groves there were, and whatnot.
System Governance was all about how much control his system had over magic.
And from his readings, Mana was being produced at a swift rate, and none of the produced energy was leaving. Plus, Magic was getting jittery and active. So a whole lot of paranormal weather had been the norm for a while. Plus his system didn't nearly any control over said magic. This was the world on its own.
This was such bullshit. The system was heavily damaged, but it was still possible to repair the world. Not like this though, Magic was of the same breed as the System. Plus, with how strong the Magic was in his world. His System didn't have a rat's frozen ass in hell to take back control.
His First World was on a time limit. Which meant that he was too.
Bucket walked through the ripped apart city with caution. he didn't know what monster was lurking in the shadows, ready to strike at him and tear him apart. Plus he was on a time limit, a limit already halfway done.
If he didn't finish off Mickey Man-Tongued Albert soon. He'd have to do the ritual and be left a fraction of himself, easy pickings for the beast.
Bucket slowly walked into Wilton's street, at least that was what the half-melted sign right in front of the street said anyway. Billy quickly walked on in, unlike most of the other streets Bucket had walked in this city. This one was filthy, not from copious amounts of blood and gore, or from destroyed and torn apart buildings. The street was filthy. Without want of reason.

Billy slowly walked through the street, barely a chunk of rubble on it, sure the road has been torn apart and then some. But other than that there were no signs of battle.
Which set the knight on edge. A place that didn't look like a warzone right next to one was never a good sign. Everything being normal next to a warzone was always cause to be concerned.
Bucket carefully walked through the street, taking cover under the few things he could. Trying to remain as hidden as possible. He was approaching one hour, in the next ten minutes. If he didn't find something, he'd have to return.
That was when he heard something clack, Bucket immediately turned towards the sound and saw his foe.
Mickey grunted on his side as the creature slumped on the wall. The monster's hollow eyes staring straight into Bucket's.
Both of them stopped what they were doing. Bucket barely had any armor on him. Let alone anything that could actually serve as a replacement.
But Mickey hadn't been doing so hot either. The monster's entire left side had been burned off, with more than a dozen or so arrows embedded into the crispy skin.
Mickey was more than keen on letting Bucket go. The monster wanted to live more than it wanted to kill some random knight that had attacked the city it lived in and the summoner it was supposed to obey.
But Bucket didn't think like a rational person, in fact. Hordes of powerful beasts probably had better sense than the half-dead child-murderer. All Bucket saw was a challenge from his God, and failing it would lead to damnation.
So Bucket did the rational(in his mind) thing and charged straight at Mickey. The abomination was shocked and didn't have time to move back before several Smite Strikes ripped through its jiggly flesh.
The creature quickly moved to it's left, putting it's right between it and Mickey's weak point. That didn't detur Bucket though. He let out a powerful Holy Roar straight into the monster's arm.
The stubby limb was shaken to the core, several of its fingers flying off from the blast of pure holy power.
Mickey retaliated in turn by swiping at Bucket's face. The fingers stabbed deeply into his helmet but the fingers didn't have the strength to pierce. But it had something that could.
Its last usable mouth opened up. Located on its head two tongues whipped out and struck Bucket across the face.
That attack sent the man flying onto his back. The tongues quickly shooting forward and impaling Bucket. Blood flew from the knight's mouth as he grunted. His blade came down with another Smite Strike. The attack missing entirely, as the blow hit nothing but dead air.
Bucket was lifted up and hurled into the last wall of what was presumably a bar based on the alcoholic smell wafting through it. This gave Bucket an idea, he quickly ran inside, finding the broken remnants of dozens of bottles. Bucket quickly went deeper into the building. Finding a trap door where a counter had been.
Before he could open it, two concrete blocks struck him the back, sending the man stumbling to the back of the building. Bucket's bones ached as he slowly got up.
His eye's locking on two snakes skinned tongues.
With a roar Bucket wen running towards the trap door, his blade smashing through the contraption with ease. Before two more concrete blocks hit Bucket, this time in the chest. Bucket felt his ribs break as his knees collapsed to the ground. Blood spilled out of Bucket's mouth again.
Bucket looked as the tongues retreated, only for a moment later to see Mickey charge through the wall that Bucket had hit with a resounding crash. The physical power of the undead creature something even Bucket could feel.
Bucket grunted as he slowly got on his knees. This was going to be tricky, with a flash Bucket used the skill of Fireball Prayer. A blast of holy energy and heat lit the ground Mickey was currently standing on. In a flash, a blast of pure alcoholic flame went up. While most had been lost during the initial wave of explosions, there was still enough booze to help light a good fire.
Mickey screamed in pain as the fire quickly spread onto his rotting flesh, reaching the creature's eyes. Mickey screamed in vast pain as his rotten eyelids burst into flames.
Mickey's snake tongues quickly raced back into the mouth on its head.
Bucket quickly used the last of his strength and threw himself into the space behind the trapdoor.
The flames quickly died out after several minutes. Mickey's outside having been well and truly cooked.
The two snake tongues slowly moved out of Mickey's head chest. Moving around the area to find Bucket.
Snake tongue one quickly found the trapdoor. The door was barely big enough for Bucket, so Mickey couldn't get in, and the beast didn't have the power to move forward and smash the entrance.
So the tongues quickly opened the door and went in.
The tongues quickly split up. The room they were in was a wine cellar, holding the inn's finest of vineyard wines. Which considering where the building was didn't bode well for its quality.
The second tongue searched the stocks near the left while the first tongue searched the right. It had been all of several minutes. And both Mickey and his tongues were getting impatient, maybe Bucket had died of his wounds. God, it hoped so a free meal would do wonders for it right now.
The fight with those children had been brutal, and their small frames had barely been worth the effort.
Mickey's tongues were about to head back when a soft crash was heard near tongue two. The second tongue quickly went to investigate. It's probing touch feeling up the area as it traveled to where the sound was. While most would think that a tongue wouldn't be able to hear the sound, due to a special skill that was not the case. Well, two special skills actually.
Cost: None, Range: Direct, Stat: Via, and Sense Intelligent Body: You always wanted to make your muscles as smart as you, so that they knew what you wanted before you wanted it. That it knew not to give up. So you got this, this skill allows one to invest intelligence equivalent to an average cat inside one of their body parts. You can allow your hand to hear! Your eyes to smell! Truly it was worth giving up your friends and family for this skill! Right, this comes from a cult sacrifice!
The second tongue moved it's way slowly through the area before it felt something off.
That was the last thing it was able to sense when the trapdoor shut. Slicing off the two tongues with extreme ease. The tongue stumps that remained quickly fell down severed when the final mouth of Mickey closed.
Without hesitation, Bucket rammed his blade deep into the monster.
His strike inflicting the killing blow on the monster.
With a sigh, Bucket collapsed, only a foot away from the now severely rotting body. His body was done, it couldn't support itself anymore.
As his consciousness blinked out for the second or is it third time today? A blast of healing energy raced through him, fixing his body up. Bucket's eye's flashed open.
Congrats! You have leveled up a total of one time! You are now eligible for a Class Evolution! Which one would like to pick...
Bucket didn't give the menu a chance to finish before he told it to pick the class that would let him survive. Class evolution was a blessing of Flapp, not only would this help him live but it would cure him of that revolting heretical poison.
Bucket felt his wounds heal and his body strengthen, before passing out again. Basy looked at the menu Bucket had got and started chuckling before laughing, this didn't disturb Bucket as he was unconscious. But when he woke up, he would be very angry.
