《I can summon my past lives》37- Where is SHE?

“That’s probably...not...your mother, Damian.” Black Fang had a solemn look as he told Damian what he believed was the truth.
Black Fang could feel that the woman before him was pure evil with his ‘Darkside View’ that allowed him to see the bad side of any living creature.
Convincing Damian however was another matter entirely.
Damian ran to his ‘mother’ and then shielded her from the angry wolf cub. The little fluffy figure that had appeared cute all this time had transformed into a monster in a blink of an eye.
“Black Fang! Control your grandson. Do any of you know any healing spell to ease my mother’s pain?” Damian desperately asked.
The torn limb would grow back in time, thanks to the incredible vitality the inhabitants of the pocket universe had, but the pain couldn’t just be ignored. In those times, a healing spell would come in handy to alleviate the feeling of pain while the limb repaired itself.
“I do.” Said Xerxes...but he did nothing, instead he continued, “As Black Fang said, that’s not your mother...even I can tell that much. You might not know of it but while I kept almost all the domains I had comprehended, plus the complete Dao of virtue, to come here to teach you, you should know that one of the Dao of Virtue’s uses is to not be deceived neither by oneself or the outside world. You see the truth in everything. This woman is not your mother, that is what all my senses are screaming at me.”
Damian then looked at the woman suffering on the floor, tears coming out of her eyes as she held her torn leg.
Damian then thought, “How can it be? No matter how I look, this woman in front of me is my mother...for all these three beasts to think otherwise is baffling. But how could they be wrong? They are beings way above anyone I know in strength.”

He was having a hard time choosing who to trust.
“Are you really my mom?” Damian asked ‘Diana’.
“What are you talking about? Can’t you see who I am?” ‘Diana’ said with a hint of anger. Her acting was really worthy of a prize.
Damian felt ashamed for having doubted ‘her’. He angrily looked at Xerxes and Black Fang and then ordered, “Please stop her pain, or I swear to God, I’ll eat wolf and lion stew tonight.”
Xerxes and Black Fang looked at ‘Diana’ as if they were looking at their enemy which made her act scared and it didn’t go unnoticed by the angry Damian who was fuming and thinking how to resolve the matter.
There was that nagging voice in the back of his mind that kept telling him that ‘maybe’ these two beasts were right...but he constantly muted it due to his biased perspective on the matter.
Unbeknownst to Damian, he had completely forgotten that he was now the most famous man on the Divine Light Planet.
Surely, there would be people coming after him and his family, whether their intentions were noble or not.
Xerxes then sighed and then waved his paw and then the wound on ‘Diana’ was healed. A new leg grew back and it seemed as if nothing had happened. If it wasn’t for the torn leg still held in the cub’s mouth, and the blood on the floor, you’d think that nothing had happened.
Seeing a new leg growing, Lil Wayne spat out the one he had in his mouth and darted towards ‘Diana’ to finish what he had started.
Black Fang then waved his hand in the nick of time to retrieve the cub before another accident happened.
Xerxes then said to Damian, “I see you have faith in your own judgement. But what if you were wrong?... Do you have faith in your mother? I want to ask you...like you had faith in yourself when you successfully paid your respects to Black Fang’s corpse...that faith in the impossible...do you dare to have faith in us? Do you dare to have faith in your mother? Because all you really have to do is take a glance at your ‘mother’ and see the truth for what it really is...”

Damian looked at the serious looks of Black Fang and Xerxes. He noticed the restless cub in Black Fang’s hands and then started contemplating.
“Damian Dear, who is this wolfman? And why is your companion soul talking?” ‘Diana’ asked, trying to get his attention.
Damian turned around to look at her…
It was like he was seeing her for the first time…
Her smile was as radiant as always…
But somehow, it all appeared to be...fake.
He didn’t know why he thought so, but that feeling soon overtook everything else happening in his mind.
The white book then opened itself and a blinding light escaped it.
On the page it wrote :
[Domain of Faith acquired...]
[Unlocking Requiem Soul #5… {The Pious Sinner} : Samuel Kane...]
The book then opened to the 5th page where the black colour receded like a veil being pulled off, to show the image of an old man with a balding head of white hair and a white long beard, wearing torn, tattered clothes, sitting cross legged.
The old man’s eyes seemed to be filled with vigor and showcased an unwavering confidence in oneself.
Damian ignored what the book was doing and then with a voice that seemed to be born from anguish, he said, “Where is SHE?”

She's tried other VRMMORPGs, but they've all been fantasy-based, with a couple sci-fi games thrown in. But she wants something more, something Super. For the first time, a developer partnered with a tabletop RPG maker to use their system to create a VRMMORPG, and it was one of the systems designed to be used with superhero games!
