《I can summon my past lives》34- Cheating the Dao - Part 1/2

Raphael and Adolf were the only two Saint Beasts of the Dark continent and the entire planet. And they had been wearing that crown forever.
The humans only had three Saints, the Pope included.
You’d think that the humans had the upper hand, but you’d be so far from the truth.
It was a known fact that beasts were innately physically stronger than humans.
Just that fact alone could explain why Raphael could fight all three Human Saints by himself. The speed of his lightning was tricky to deal with and its lethality hadn’t been mentioned yet.
After Black Fang ended the war and committed suicide, a stalemate that lasted for eons ensued.
No one wanted to be completely annihilated.
The humans were so afraid that Black Fang had feigned death, they never had any thoughts of attacking again.
The Pope Pontius Eventus was sitting in his quarters looking at a crystal ball. Inside you could see Black Fang holding a newborn baby, Damian who seemed lost in thought, and Raphael and Adolf who were arguing about something.
“Has the God of Light Forsaken us?” The Pope thought while trembling all over.
If only he knew that the God of Light was merely a simple Program tasked to ensure the well being of the inhabitants of the Divine Light Planet.
There were other such programs across the pocket universe tasked with the same mission. The Divine Light Planet wasn’t the only inhabited planet in the world as many thought.
The fear in the eyes of the Pope was evident. He knew that should a crazy human try something major against the Dark Continent’s beasts, the entire human race would be doomed with the mad beast known as Black Fang having risen from the ‘dead’.
“He really wasn’t dead...all this time, just to appear when one of his uncountable descendants is born? What’s going on?” The Pope was trying to glean something from the murmurs of the God of Light, but he got nothing.

“And that Damian Kaz...has he now become an enemy of the human race? If that wasn’t the case, then what explains his chummy attitude towards those beasts?”
“No something must be done...he is too important to let him fall in their hands.”
“He’s our only chance.”
“The God of Light said that he has a chance to reach the rumoured Law Breaker realm after the Saint realm.”
“It means that one of his companion souls is so powerful that the Law it contains is paramount.”
“Ah yes, his mother still works as a sales clerk in a shop that sells cheap Beauty products.”
“I should start with her. No need to delegate this to those incompetent fools, I will move out myself.”
As the Pope put on the whitest robe he could find, a staff in hand, he appeared like one of saintly apparitions that were so talked about in the gospels.
He immediately flew in the direction of an unnamed town that would soon become the thing mentioned on everyone’s mouth for years to come.

The baby finally woke up...not crying, but with a stronger version of his bloodline suppression. The entire city was put on the knees except for Black Fang, Damian and Raphael who seemed unaffected.
“He must be brought far from his clan. At least, until he can learn how to control his aura.” Raphael said after some thought. “I can raise him in the Purple Ape Clan for a while...if his bloodline suppression doesn’t increase in intensity that is.”
“Of course his bloodline suppression will intensify as he grows up. There’s no denying it.With some training his bloodline can probably reach the same purity as mine.” Black Fang said, he continued, “He should however be raised in human territory where his aura can’t do any real damage...in a secluded place I think...yeah that would be for the best.”

Xerxes loudly yawned and then said to everyone, “Let’s leave this place, I still have to train a hero. One of these days I should be given a kind of prize that only I can get for saving everything that lives in the Planeverse.”
Black Fang scoffed, “With me around, there's no such thing as the end of the world. In a while, I’ll go deal with that troublesome reincarnation of mine.”
Xerxes frowned, ‘Wasn’t this wolf a bit too overconfident?’ He thought, but then immediately asked, “Pardon me asking, but your’re just a rank 12 Dao Being at best, what kind of miracle can you possibly pull out of your ass to save the world?”
“Hehehe, I never said I was a normal Dao Being. Chronos didn’t send you here on a sightseeing mission just to train a hollow soul to beat the main soul with a measly Dao of Virtue...well, that would be ideal, but what if it doesn’t work?” Black Fang then stopped walking and deeply looked at the white lion, his black eyes black holes that seemed to be sucking all the light around them, he said “I’m the second failsafe. My predecessor Anansi was the first, but he can only make himself equally strong as the enemy, which is not really useful. I, however, can beat someone even if he is countless times stronger than me.”
“What kind of power can accomplish such a thing?” Xerxes doubtfully asked.
