《I can summon my past lives》32- Is the Dao really the strongest?

Raphaël Lom arrived above the Heavenly Wolf City to see a very compelling scene.
All the wolfmen had knelt on their knees and they seemed to be forced to do so.
The omen in the sky was starting to recede.
While the bloodline suppression only suppressed those of the same bloodline, the other beasts could also feel it, albeit a little less intense.
Raphaël looked at the receding omen and had an idea of what was happening. "A second Saint Beast will arise in the next few years. Adolf, is it your child? Only you have a chance of having an offspring with the purest Heavenly Wolf bloodline."
"I believe it is my child...but it is beyond me how he acquired a bloodline more powerful than mine." Adolf said as he activated 'Umbral teleportation' and appeared inside his mansion.
A flash of lightning later Raphael followed him and invited himself into the mansion.
Adolf didn't forget to give the order to apprehend the human and lion that had entered the temple.
When the wolfmen entered the temple to find that their ancestor's corpse had vanished without a trace, they experienced the fright of their lives.
While some went to Adolf to relay the news, the others lost their minds and jumped on the uproariously laughing youth.
Damian was in his own world as he felt good about himself and hadn't noticed the army of wolfmen that were about to shred him to pieces.
Xerxes thought it best to warn him...for once. He tapped on his shoulder saying, "I'd look behind myself if I were you."
Damian turned around to see an army just a few meters behind him.
He was amazed, to say the least. Just the fact that these wolfmen seemed calm and never spoke loudly even when angry, was commendable.

They should be hurling insults at him, but their calm behavior made them seem even more dangerous like hunters stalking their prey.
“I’ll give them the fright of their life.” Damian waved his hand above the closed Requiem Book and it opened to Black Fang’s page. “Appear!” Damian murmured.
A cloud of darkness engulfed everyone in the temple. A deep roar followed and a fifty meters high black wolf appeared after the darkness receded.
Black Fang’s eyes were cloudy. He was having a hard time understanding what was happening to him.
He looked around and felt the power that had resurrected him : A white book in the hands of a teenager.
Seeing their ancestor alive and kicking, the wolfmen didn’t know what to do anymore. Most of them felt like they were dreaming.
Black Fang looked at Damian, then at Xerxes and said, “Young man what is the name of that book? Any relation with something called ‘Requiem System?’”
Damian didn’t hesitate and said, “It’s called a Requiem Book, sir wolf. How did you know?” He wasn’t afraid as he knew that his summons couldn’t betray him.
“Hehe...What you have now is probably an improved version of the Requiem System I helped build. Without my indirect help, it would have never seen the light of day. Why is Chronos and Junior not here? Junior should’ve grown up by now.” Black Fang said.
Damian then pointed at Xerxes and said, “I don’t know who those two are, but this Lion should know.”
Black Fang only looked at Xerxes once to read all his memories.
Xerxes shuddered as he said, “You’re clearly a Dao Being. Then how did you manage to die?” He knew all too well the power he felt in that giant wolf, it wasn’t any weaker than him at his peak : A rank 11 Dao Being or even higher.

How could a Dao Being so strong manage to die? Even dying by committing suicide was absolutely impossible.
How could someone kill the unkillable?
Black Fang then looked at Xerxes and answered, “In theory a Dao Being can’t die, but in this pocket universe created by Chronos it is possible to die. Wanna know why?”
Xerxes nodded.
“Because, here, there’s no connection to the Dao Core of the Planeverse. Dao Beings use the power being streamed by the Dao Core through the connection to it you acquire when you comprehend a complete Dao. Here, in this pocket universe, with that connection being cut,you go back to being a simple God and die eventually whether by being killed, end of lifespan or by choice. Only those authorized by the owner of this pocket universe can use a special channel to connect with the Dao Core outside. That’s the reason why you can still use the Dao Of Virtue and why you can teach him.” Black Fang said in one breath.
“Senior Heavenly Wolf, I wonder if you can answer my question?” Xerxes said.
“Out with it, then. Time is the only thing I’ve got now.” Black Fang said with a smile.
Xerxes said,“ Do you happen to know why Chronos created such a place? Where is the need for a power system indépendant of the Dao? Everybody knows that the Dao is the strongest out there.”
“Oh? That’s what you think? The Dao is the strongest? What would you do if the Dao Core of the Planeverse suddenly ceased functioning? What would you have done if our Planeverse had no Dao Core? In theory, those two cases can happen. So? Tell me! What would you do?” Black Fang said like a teacher trying to induce enlightenment into his students.
