The act of touching the dragon instantly gave Anansi its powers. Criss-crossing letters appeared on Anansi’s body and then looking like a book page his skin was torn off and entered the {Book of Stories}.

The Dragon didn’t feel a thing and continued charging towards the two brothers.

Anansi then thought, “Perhaps I’m strong enough now. I should try it.” He could feel the insanity of the Dragon rubbing off on him. The Dao of Devouring coupled with the Domain of Greed that he had just copied were taking over his mind.

He then wanted to try something with his book of stories. It was purely hypothetical, but he thought that if he was strong enough he could and add something to a story he copied or write a story of his own entirely.

He thought, “Last time I was in the Underworld I copied so many Underworld Lords and Kings and escaped with all their Dao Comprehensions with no one knowing a single thing. After I copied the Book of life and death, I then stealthily left the underworld by using one of the Reincarnation portals and reincarnated. Chronos must have found that reincarnation and retrieved all the Items I left behind sealed in that reincarnation’s soul. The way he wants me to deal with this dragon is to use the Dream Dao to trap Damon’s awareness in his dreamland then take away his awareness outside while he’s stuck in the dream. It should be possible in theory, but this is too crude of a way to go about it. Instead, it would easier if I do it like this:”

He put his hand on the page containing the Dragons story and then closed his eyes. New lines appeared in Damon's story.

{Suddenly, Damon’s crazed mind was clouded. He became lost for a moment not knowing what to do. His awareness left his body and formed a normal basic soul. With his memories sealed in the furthest reaches of his consciousness, he stayed there looking completely lost.}

And then a few lines appeared on his body:

{My mind is incorruptible.}

He then felt the madness receding until it was gone completely. Since he didn't truly have Starblood, it was easier for him to keep a straight mind.

Everything that happened next followed the script. The dragon stopped its chase and its humongous body came to a standstill in the air. Its crazed eyes looked lost for a moment and before the dragon initiated a counterattack, its awareness was pulled out and appeared not far from its head. The awareness turned into a Golden soul with illusory wings and stayed there not knowing what to do or say as its entire memories had been sealed.

The dragon and Damon were now empty husks.

But the problem wasn’t completely resolved. The Dragon could still develop its own awareness given the power of its soul. The many Domain Daos being comprehended and infused into it because the powerful soul that attracted them could result in an artificial mind being created. With the starblood’s hunger they’d have another more unreasonable opponent.

All in all, they had gained less than a minute to find another solution.

Anansi then said, “I’ve done all I could, so what’s next?”

Chronos already had another plan, “Let’s teleport this Dragon as far off this Planeverse as we can and hope that it doesn’t come back. I’m going to have to ask you to seal the entire Planeverse and make it as unnoticeable as you can, Anansi.”

“Alright.” Anansi answered.

The other powerhouses around had seen everything play out, but even them understood that they had only gained a few moments of respite before it went downhill again.

Xerxes, the white lion next to the red haired , Athos, said, “If only, he had comprehended the Complete Dao of Virtue like me. This problem would be resolved effortlessly.”

Chronos who heard that sigh, stopped in his tracks and then thought, ‘Why didn’t I think of it? That’s the only solution. The Dao of Virtue is foolproof against any kind of mind corruption.’

Anansi and Junior immediately understood what was about to happen, “Are you going to take the chance that he can even Comprehend a Complete Dao in a single minute?” Junior asked.

“It’s a huge risk...” Anansi pondered.

Chronos then asked Anansi, “Are you willing to create and give me a slightly modified version of your Book of stories. We do not need it to be as powerful as it is now, I only need it to do some simple things.”

“Name your requirements and I’ll see what I can do. Wait..you’re planning on using this new book with the Requiem System? A fusion perhaps?” Anansi nodded.

“You’re spot on. Also, the world I want to send Damon in is quite special. I’ve been working on it for a long time. There, with guidance, he can learn the Complete Dao of Virtue. I’ll make sure the time of that world will be accelerated. One year in there will be equal to one second in ours.” Chronos explained. He continued, “One of us will have to accompany him as I will be accelerating the time from outside...”

“I’ll volunteer myself, young ones. I’m the only one here who has comprehended the Dao of Virtue. I can guide him like I did for my family.” Xerxes, the white lion, who had been listening in, approached and said.

Chronos just looked at the lion once and then said, “Alright, you must however follow the rules of that world and seal your entire power to 1st rank Dao Being.”

“That’s fine with me.” Xerxes nodded.
