Chronos had been to many futures, to many timelines, he learned many things during his travels which mostly contributed to the creation of the Requiem System.
It was only when he became a Dao Being of the Time Dao that he dared to think to create the Requiem System...and that was in the far off future. His entire life, he never forgot his father and had missed him terribly...at the same time he hated him and wanted him to ask for forgiveness for not staying by his side and choosing death over family.
With the complete time dao, many things could be accomplished...like accelerating your comprehension time to comprehend the Dao. With multiple versions of himself in different timelines, comprehending a separate Complete Dao and then sharing their gains amongst themselves was effortless.
He became a 12th rank Dao Being very quickly.
Creating the Requiem System required many complete Daos. Such a heaven defying ‘toy’ as the Dark Phoenix called it, would be able to disrupt time itself to do what it had been created for : Reviving all the previous reincarnations.
He managed to find the most useful of the Reincarnations of his father, past and future, and stored them in the System Vault to be unlocked by the System host. A total of 39 reincarnations had been stored in the vault.
At first, Chronos had been amazed at seeing how lucky those reincarnations had been their entire lives whether they were mortal or embarked on cultivation.
He found the answer very quickly. His father’s first life was an Empyrean and a Saint son to boot. The luck stat of a Saint Son was something illusory. Its impact on daily life however, was exaggerated.
Even what was happening now, could be considered his father’s luck, because for a luck as great as being the most powerful being in the world some misfortune had to happen to the rest of the world for a kind of balance to exist.

This was why the every Saint Son of the Empyreans was respected as well as feared.
There was something odd about the Empyreans though. They weren’t born in the normal way. Rather, it was their golden sun who gave birth to them.
And where had the Golden sun come from? No one knows.
Chronos had tried to go back in time and see the origin of the Golden Sun and was disappointed to find out it had magically appeared in the Scarlet Multiverse and started giving birth to many Empyreans.
Also the Golden Sun couldn’t be destroyed even after he became a 12th rank Dao Being.
The origins of the Golden sun greatly scared the calm Chronos. It simply meant that there was no winning the war against the Empyreans.
He also remarked one thing, each empyrean had peculiar abilities unique to each of them. Those abilities didn’t rely on the Heavenly Daos, but another kind of medium which was impossible to find or glean.
The Dao was the core of power for those living in the Planeverse(Contains all the planes known or unknown).
In reality, no one controlled the various Daos they had comprehended, they…’streamed’ it. Their comprehension only allowed them to connect to the Dao Core of the Planeverse and have it do what they wanted it to do for them.
No one really wielded the Dao, they borrowed it. The known fact that a Dao Being was the representation of a complete Dao was no more.
When Chronos found out about it, he gleaned what the next realm after Dao Being was. He surmised that it was probably about truly wielding the Dao.
...and it was verified when he saw in the future his crazed father literally ate the Dao Core, the entity responsible for the streaming and distribution of Dao, and fused with it. At that moment, the Dao Core had so much energy that his father slept for a long while to finish absorbing it. When he woke up, he started looking for his next meal and found that there was nothing left to satisfy his hunger.

As if having felt another delicious treat, it tried leaving the Planeverse but some kind of power bound it to the place. It had no other choice than to eat the entire Planeverse, ending the lives of everybody and leaving for the unknown.
It was at that moment that the last vestiges of Chronos’ soul found out that the Planeverse was just one of many, or else his father wouldn’t have left if there was no other thing that could satisfy his hunger.
Chances were that the other Planeverses had even more powerful beings.
Perhaps the Golden sun came from there?
Were the Empyreans a kind of vanguard sent for reconnaissance in order to help the subjugation of the entire Planeverse? But they were too weak. None of them had ever had power equaling a Dao Being.
As Chronos went back in time, he found out that nothing had changed, there was still a future where it all happened again. Normally, him going back in time with the knowledge of the future would have changed it.
...and more importantly, all the events had begun with the idea to create the Requiem System. Without it nothing of the sort would have never happened.
If he knew that his anger towards his father would spell such destruction, he would have never done it.
Now he counted on the luck attribute his father had for a way out of this, hence the reset of the now compromised Requiem System.
The reset would undo any fusion with any Requiem souls Damon had fused with. It would also store all the summoned Requiem souls back into the System Vault.
However, the Dragon and the Star blood had become way too strong for the System to contain them so they would remain there.
What would happen to Damon then?
With his soul still corrupted and so powerful, there was only one way to ensure that he could be contained :
Trapping his awareness into something else and leaving the Starblood Dragon without a soul to control it.
For that to work, they would need an equally powerful soul to trap the dragon’s, Damon’s, crazed mind.
[System Reset complete]
The all too familiar original mechanical voice had replaced the Dark Phoenix’s.
“Activate the failsafe.” Chronos said to the system.
[System Creator activates the Failsafe.]
[Summoning Failsafe {Keeper of Stories}]
Chronos had to be fast before the dragon rewrote the System or completely erased it...and only one of Damon’s past lives could give the dragon a run for its money.
As the angry dragon was coming to end the two brothers’, Junior and Chronos, lives. A familiar silhouette appeared near them.
For Junior, it seemed like it had been an eternity since he had seen his father. He looked at the silhouette, albeit older, that closely resembled him.
“To think I used to think that I was ugly in my Spider form.” The Spider trickster African God, Anansi, also known as the {Keeper of stories} said.
He then looked at Junior for a moment, but the situation couldn’t allow for a teary family reunion. The Dragon was fast approaching.
Anansi said, “I get that you called me to take care of your problem, but how are you so sure that I will not lose my mind like this Dragon? Has the future changed now that I’m here?”
“Just do your thing, we really have no choice but to rely on you.” Chronos said as he looked to see if there was a new future.
A black book appeared in front of Anansi. It opened itself and stopped at an empty page.
“Here goes nothing.” said Anansi as he teleported on the Dragon’s back.
He then touched the Dragon...
