《I can summon my past lives》19- Reincarnation King, Yammy

Alistair, the Empyrean Godking, didn't have it easy in the underworld.
His mission was to reveal the existence of a possible heretic that comprehended the Reincarnation Dao as instructed by Saint Son Kieran.
The Underworld Servant, a True Wraith, who was in charge of erasing his memory and then sending him through the door of reincarnation, was shocked to hear the news.
There had been some souls of the dead who had found ways to lick the boots of the Reincarnation Lords just to earn favorable conditions in their next life. Some even went on to be reborn as a God's offspring, living long and lavish lives.
The Underworld Servant was thinking that this Empyrean was one of those who wanted to use the back door.
The tip was compelling and any Reincarnation Lord would take it seriously even if it was hearsay.
It had to be known that the Underworld was the only place one could glimpse the Dao of Reincarnation effortlessly as it was a Holy Land of some sort. You could try to comprehend the Dao of Reincarnation elsewhere but it was harder and more time consuming and the results weren't satisfactory. In short, it led you nowhere to comprehend the Dao of Reincarnation outside of the Underworld unless you were birthed by the Dao itself.
There were other Holy Lands for other specific Daos like Hell for the Dao of Sin and the Dao of Inferno and Heaven for the Dao of Light and the Dao of Life, to name a few.
The special treatment for alleged liars like Alistair was a simple torture. Since no one could really die in the Underworld and your status was determined by your strength, his soul would be killed over and over again, he would feel excruciating pain until he changed his statement.

If his statement remained unchanged, the Underworld Servants would then dare look for a Reincarnation Lord to preside over the interrogation. If a soul kept his statement unchanged after so much torture that could break the weak minded, then most the times, there was a chance that he was telling the truth.
The True Wraith then flew towards the newly appointed Reincarnation Lord that was in charge of his district. Only the newly appointed Reincarnation Lords were in function, the older, more ancient, Reincarnation Lords preferred to delegate the tasks and focus more on comprehending the Dao rather than waste their time looking after the souls of the dead.
On his way the True Wraith then came across a Reincarnation King. He saw him from afar and was obliged to bow down in respect.
Reincarnation King Yammy saw the True Wraith and then decided to talk to him to kill some time. He was the only easy going Reincarnation King around even though he was ranked third in strength in the entire Underworld. Others found it demeaning to speak to an Underworld Servant.
There were only three Kings above countless Lords in the Underworld. As the True Wraith saw the King approaching, he felt palpitation out of nowhere from nervosity, as for how a True Wraith could have those feelings it remained a mystery even to the Servant himself.
"What's your name, Boy?" Yammy asked in an aloof manner.
"Adamanteus, your highness." Adamanteus the True Wraith said as he felt his illusory heart explode wondering if this would be his last day in the Underworld. Countless visions assailed his mind, showing him a bleak future. One wrong word to this Reincarnation King and he could kiss goodbye to his lavish life that he had enjoyed since he took up the position as an Underworld Servant.

What if that Empyrean Godking was lying? His unit would be obliterated for wasting the time of a Reincarnation King even if the King himself showed mercy. The Reincarnation Lords and even other servants would never tolerate that.
"Adamanteus, huh, so what brings you to the inner Sanctum? Nothing drastic, I hope." Yammy asked.
There it is. I am finished.
Adamanteus then called upon every shred of courage he still had and recounted the entire events that brought him to the Inner Sanctum.
Yammy's easy going smile seemed frozen on the spot after hearing the news. It had shocked him as much as it could have shocked a simple Reincarnation Lord.
"You kept the news of such a grand event for a whole week before you finally decided to seek help? Are you all crazy? So what if he was lying? Do you think that his memories could?" Yammy was incensed, "Lead the way, now!"
When they both arrived at the jail, the first thing Yammy did was to touch Alistair's head with both of his hands. He might be a 9th rank Dao Being and could've read the latter's memories remotely, but he took this case seriously. He wanted to see and feel Alistair's whole life as if he had himself lived it, which was in fact one of the abilities of the Dao of Reincarnation. It went beyond just memory reading.

The Limits of Limitless
Author's Note: So, new author here, nice to meet you from this lovely one sided conversation lol. I was so tired of waiting for the perfect story for me so I decided to write a few of my own. These are basically just to make me happy, but if you enjoy them too that would make me happy as well lol. ______________________________________________________________________________________ So once upon a time, there was a convienent, and slightly cliche, plot device used by a somewhat lazy author.... Which in turn, created an easily made story of how a lucky high schooler posing as a hardcore gamer dies only to resurrect in a fantasy reality, meeting beautiful women, powerful dragons and ancient beings, an assortment of insanely escentric fellows, and a certain over powered ring. Journey with them as they explore the wilderness of twisted imagination. Or for you old timey folk who like their synopsis a bit tame, here you go: Jason, a senor in highschool, is slowly failing school due to not giving a fuck. Like many people now in the year 3056, he is obsessed with the wonderful invention most lovingly called, 'True Virtual Realities'. now by using his obsession with his favorite Virtual Reality game called 'Reality Controlled', which is the first and so called best Virtual Reality ever made. it was basically the all around escape humanity wished for, and he with heaven defying luck came across one of the three cheat items the game developers left for themselves: The Limitless Ring. The ring was a support type item and had the ability to grant wishes, store worlds, clone items, grant skills and easily learn abilities. But those are just a few of the things it could do. Using the ring he successfully became the "best player" and had a herd of fans following him everywhere. It was a dream come true. Until, he was killed from a power surge that fried his brain which was hooked up to the Nerve Capsule, an unsafe prototype of the Dive gear that he bought do to low funds. The end. Or so you would think.... ______________________________________________________________________________________ Author's Note: I was, to be honest, wanting to do a collab, because to me it is sooooooo incredibly boring to write by yourself since you always know what happens next, however no one enjoys a bit of friendly cooperation *sigh* so I'm forced to journey these roads alone.... 'Tis but a sad fate tha' 'is here young'un has t' bear. The cover isn't mine, all rights and stuff goes to its artist and such.

Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends
In the civilized world of humans, 'monsters' have all but passed into legend. But when something goes bump in the night, when people begin to disappear, when a dark mystery begins to haunt even the most peaceful villages, there is only one organization to turn to: the Hunters. The Venatori. Having lived a life of discipline and service, former soldier Caiden Voros finds something even worse than the wars of humans: the monsters that hunt them. Horrors yet unknown even to him and his many scars await in the claws, talons, fangs, and mysterious powers of creatures so far beyond humans that he must dedicate himself entirely to the art of slaying them. Harboring a secret of his own and in a constant struggle to find answers while maintaining his sanity, however, Caiden begins to ask the age-old question... Who is truly worse, the monsters or the Men? Wulfgard: The Hunt Never Ends is an episodic collection of stories, each of which stand on its own, but they also build upon each other in a consecutive order, bridging a gap between a novel and short story collection. These stories follow monster hunter Caiden Voros and his partner Gwen Vergil as they embark on tales of mystery, horror, and adventure to track down monsters - the living dead, beast-men, shape-shifters, spirits, and many more - that would do harm to innocent lives and, by whatever means necessary, put a stop to their terrors. Their motives, however, are not always what they seem.
