《I can summon my past lives》15- Ode for the Dark Phoenix -Part2-

"The one who made that 'System' had no idea what he was truly doing at first. I suspect that he only realized the truth later or hasn't realized it yet. If not you would have been able to fuse with your reincarnations as soon as you got them instead of grinding for those stupid seven Requiem Points required for fusion. How long would that take you? It defeats the purpose of the toy you were given." The voice stopped there.
Damon had the feeling that it was waiting for him to ask the question, he then asked, "What is the real purpose that you think that this Requiem System could be used for?"
"It is the only shortcut to become a Dao Being. If you're lucky enough to have multiple Gods in your reincarnations, you can fuse the multiple domains they had comprehended to master a single complete Dao. Gods think that they are in control of a Dao when they acquire a Domain, but a Domain is just the Door to comprehending a complete Dao, which is why they are not really immortal, they just live for a long time before they ultimately perish like Mortals do. A Dao Being, however, is someone who embodies a Complete Dao and Dao Beings live forever. Unless a stronger being erases their Dao Comprehension or just a part of it in their memories, a Dao Being is undying as long as has a comprehension of a complete Dao, even if he is beaten to a pulp, he can return to his peak in an instant." the feminine voice said.
Damon calmly digested what he heard and then asked, "What is your level? Why can't I see you?"
"I was born a Dao Being with the Dao of Reincarnation, my first complete Dao. As I grew up, I comprehended more complete Daos until I reached the limit. At my peak I had comprehended 12 Complete Daos. Then when I split my soul and body into 12 parts with the intention to comprehend eleven more Daos with each part, I was ambushed by my enemies and most of my clones were captured. It was a mistake really. I had only given each of the twelve parts the memories of a single complete Dao, I was undone by my own greed for power." as it lamented on its fate, Damon could see the darkness receding. He saw a black gigantic bird. He felt like a grain of sand next to it.

Its entire body released a black smoke or...fire.
All in all, Damon thought that the bird looked beautiful...in a way.
Damon then smiled, "You still haven't really told me what you did to my system?"
The gigantic black bird then sighed as it said, "You can now fuse with your reincarnations free of charge. I also unlocked more reincarnations for you. Normally you would have only been able to get twelve as they were the twelve most powerful of your past lives, all the others are just mortal and barely even considered immortal. But they are useful. You need to learn from all your past lives and get different perspectives, it'll help you in the comprehension of the Dao as you need to have an open mind."
"So, what do I need to pay to get your help?" Damon asked.
The Dark Phoenix shook its head and chains then rattled. Damon could now see the chains he had been hearing in the dark. The chains were attached to a peculiar collar on the bird's neck.
"As you can see, I cannot leave here. This eternal prison was made to keep me in here forever. Over time, I found ways to see what was happening outside and even bring objects in and out." It said.
Damon then asked, "Is your request to free you from this place?" he hoped he was wrong. If the Dao beings who put this powerful bird in chains were that easy to beat, the bird would have done it a long time ago.
"Yes. Only you can bring me out of here." the bird said nodding.
And there it was. It was what Damon feared the most. This bird clearly wanted him dead. How many Dao Beings would he offend if he indeed could bring it out? And which of his abilities convinced this crazy bird to have so much faith in him?

"H...How is that even possible? There's no way I can break the seal on those chains." Damon said incredulously.
"I wasn't talking about the current you. For this to work you'd have to fuse with Jata Akil and the one titled as {The Blood Emperor}. As for these chains, they only seal my physical body, not my soul. Nonetheless, once my soul tries to leave this pocket space it will be sensed and we'll have an army at our door. So my soul must be contained in another body. I believe you understand what I mean by now. The bird calmly said.
"You want to become my partner soul?" Damon said, but he couldn't quite believe it himself.
"Yes...that aside, how do you feel about inheriting my bloodline and becoming a Dark Phoenix?"
