《I can summon my past lives》13- The might of a single Dao Scrying pill
Advertisement
Mad Pill wasn't always known as such, much less be titled as the Mad Alchemist.
Instead, he used to be known as Venerable Pill Master. A name that was known far and wide in the Scarlet Multiverse.
Despite being only at the cultivation realm of 1st stage Immortal King, which was two realms below the God realm, he had False Gods and Gods as customers.
His mastery over the Dao of Alchemy was so great that he was capable of concocting some pills that were beyond his cultivation.
The Madness only caught up to him when he started seeing the shadow of death because his lifespan was ending soon.
As he became Mad because he was unwilling to die, it started to show in his Alchemy. The rare times when he accepted a commission, turned into the most unforgettable memory for his clients who always came to grieve at his house:
Client #1 : "I told you to concoct me a pill because I couldn't satisfy my wife, but this pill you gave me made mine bigger than a Dragon-horse's. What can I possibly f**k now, huh?"
Client #2 : "I pleaded with you to concoct a King Kong Bloodline Strength Pill for me. Look at me now, you crazy S.o.b! Instead of just gaining only the strength I also look like a gigantic gorilla."
In his Madness, every pill he made was crazily potent to the point of having serious unwanted side effects occur.
Of course, it was up to the user to ascertain whether the side effects of the pill he ingested were good or bad.
It didn't take long for Mad Pill's deeds to reach the ear of everyone. He started getting less and less orders. The rare pills he made were auctioned to the highest bidder and then treated as collectibles never to be ingested.
There were even some immortals who thought that they could become gods if they inadvertently ingested a pill that had Godly side effects. However, no one wanted to be the first to risk their lives though.
Thus the nickname Mad Pill came to be. The Immortal whose pills were the most sought after but couldn't be eaten for fear of turning into an aberration.
Now Mad Pill was sitting in a courtyard somewhere on the tenth floor of the Golden Tower.
Damon and his Reincarnations had chosen to live there as each floor of the tower was like a boundless world.
Atlan had constructed a city on every floor for the challengers to relax and recuperate.
Mad Pill looked at the plain cauldron in front of him with a pensive look.
There were a few wide trays with herbs and fruits on them on the side.

"That feeling I got back then when I died...it felt like Reincarnation. Now with the existence of the Requiem System, it all makes sense why I felt that way. My Dao of Alchemy mutated at my last breath. Some power of reincarnation fused with it, I am sure. I wonder what would happen If I concocted a pill now. I am no longer mad since I was revived. It should be okay, right?" Mad Pill thought.
He planned on making a simple Dao Scrying Pill. A pill that allowed a Nascent Soul realm cultivator to see and try to comprehend his future Dao.
This pill could be used all the way to the False God realm where one was trying to condense a Domain and become a God.
Mad Pill was trying to see if there was a chance he could advance his level of Dao Comprehension and maybe condense his own Domain. It would be a qualitative change for him and the things he could do would be multiplied.
Atlan had given him a God body, but his soul was still that of an immortal which made him feel that he was lacking and lagging behind the other reincarnations. Only if he could condense a Domain would he be more useful.
He ignited one of his many Soulfires under and inside the cauldron.
One ingredient after the other was thrown inside the cauldron following a predetermined order.
The refinement was textbook as he knew every move like the back of his hand.
No problems occured and six purple pills came out flying.
"Hum? Purple? Shouldn't they be red?" A shocked Mad Pill said.
Outside the tower.
Knowing that Mad Pill was about to concoct pills that would attract Heavenly Tribulation, Damon, Atlan and Jatta were outside the tower to intercept it before there was any damage to the tower...Rather, it was Damon's job to do it.
[Congratulations, you've reached the 70th LVL.]
[You've gained x1 Level Up Package.]
[You've gained a Requiem soul.]
[Congratulations, You're now a SOUL SAINT.]
For weeks now, Damon had been hearing the same prompts at regular intervals. He had become numb to it.
So far he had accumulated six Requiem Souls that he had yet to unlock and six Level up packages that he had yet to open.
As his soul power increased, he was starting to feel that his physical body would soon collapse and disappear. If nothing was done to strengthen his body even further, by the time that Tribulation Chaser, Bashar's soul power was completely absorbed, he would have no body to speak of. Just a soul, a very powerful one at that.

He had to find a powerful Body Cultivation technique or just make a meaningful Sacrifice to the Scroll of the Undying God.
His Empyrean Providence Body cultivation technique only gave him peculiar abilities pertaining to Luck, not the power and resilience that most Body Cultivation techniques boasted of.
In a way, the Empyrean Providence Body Cultivation technique was unique as only Saint Sons of the Empyrean race could cultivate it.
The Tribulation Lightning appeared in the void above the tower.
Damon and the other two stood atop the tower and watched the breathtaking scene.
Damon waved his hand to the sky and as if the raging Tribulation had found its long lost brother, it entered his body never to be seen again.
"I've been summoning and absorbing Tribulation Lightning every day now to cultivate the Tribulation Body like Bashar did, but it's still not enough. My soul will soon be too strong for a Tribulation Body. I asked the damn System to stop the absorption of Bashar's soul, but it never listened. If i lose my body, how will I have kids in the future?" Damon dejectedly said.
Bashar had had a very powerful soul and his body was so powerful thanks to the Scroll of the Undying God.
Damon didn't want to sacrifice anything to the scroll to gain power...and it was dangerous.
Imagine if the sacrifice was too little and he ended up losing his body anyway.
...or if the needed sacrifice was too great, so great that he couldn't afford it.
To sacrifice for a body powerful enough to withstand his new soul, of course he'd have to lose a leg or two.
"Let's go see what kind of pill he made," Atlan said as they all appeared in the little courtyard that was now a little bit too crowded.
"So that madness followed me in this life too, sigh." They heard a saddened Mad Pill.
Atlan looked at the six purple pills that were floating above the cauldron. They had a peculiar aura...an aura that was familiar to him. He couldn't remember where he had felt that aura which surprises him as he had godly photographic memory.
Jata looked at the pills but felt nothing, he shrugged his shoulders and said nothing.
Damon was excited to try his first Alchemy pill.
He waved his hand and caught a purple pill which he immediately ingested.
"No, don't! You fool." Mad Pill said as he looked at Damon with fear in his eyes.
The others were too late to stop Damon.
Soul Cultivators couldn't comprehend Dao, they cheated by stealing the power of Dao through the removal and refinement of the Soulblood of a Dao practitioner. The Soulblood as it was called was the crystallization of a Dao in the form of a simple Ability that had no relation or connection to the Dao itself.
If a Dao manifested itself into a Soul cultivator through comprehension, there would be a backlash, a severe one, as the two energies couldn't coexist.
"Relax. I actually feel goo…"
Damon then fainted on the spot.
A strange power surrounded him as he floated above the ground.
Atlan then said, "He's... dead. His soul is no longer with us."
Mad Pill then said, "A backlash, yes. But death is impossible."
Atlan said, "Then it must be the effect of your pill."
"If he's dead, then how are we still here?" Jata asked.
"Maybe it's temporary. Mad Pill, what kind of pill is it?" Atlan asked.
"A Dao Scrying pill." Mad Pill said.
"Then why is it different than normal Dao Scrying pills?" Jata asked.
Mad Pill grew silent, afraid to say a single word.
The other two understood that he didn't want to say anything. They just sat on the ground and waited.
On the other side, Damon had no idea what to think.
He pushed one of the white transparent figures in front of him in a bid to clear his vision.
"Hey, don't push. We're all on the same boat, your turn will come eventually. Naturally, it will be after me." A voice coming from the figure he had just pushed said.
"What? Where am I?" Damon asked.
"What is your earliest memory before you came here?" Damon could see that the one talking was a middle aged man.
"I had just eaten a pill a friend gave me...then nothing. And then I was here." Damon said.
The middle aged man then laughed out loud and said, "Let me enlighten you. Your friend killed you. You're dead."
Damon then realized that the man talking to him was transparent.
He looked at himself and realized that he was in his soul form. A golden blue soul. Golden because he was an Empyrean now and blue because of the Tribulation Lightning stored and fused inside his soul.
There were even the same illusory wings on his back.
"Goddamnit, Mad Pill. The greatest Alchemist, my a$s. You'll definitely get it when I somehow manage to get out of this."
And that was the fate of Mad Pill's most recent client.

Join me in the great adventure of ANT TENSEI! . . Status: [Being Re-written/ Discontinued/On Hiatus] 'Final' Chapter: Chapter 14 . . . _______________________________________________________________ :Official Rewrite Notice: _______________________________________________________________ . . . As of May 18th, 2015, the particular version of Ant Tensei now being titled 'Original' was discontinued in favor 'Redux', the official rewrite of the novel. The reason being that I wasn't actually taking it seriously for more than half of the chapters. All of my Fantasy-Styled works were never originally intended for publication, but after a surprising amount of attention during the initial weeks of release on a different medium, the decision was made to develop my Fantasy-Styled works at my professional level. This decision has thus sparked the decision to Re-Launch Ant Tensei as "Ant Tensei Redux". If there are still a number of those still interested in the old version of the story that was written as a way to relieve myself of excess time, then i'll eventually look into reviving the original intent for Ant Tensei Original and draft off an independant series for it under the title "Ant Tensei Original". For now, however, "Ant Tensei Redux" shall be the only version being progressively developed and released. Please share your thoughts on this early version of my original novel, Ant Tensei. There were 14 chapters of Original released before the development of Redux began, the chapter 7.5 special not included. . . . Enjoy the work. ~White Overall Status: (Ongoing)
