《I can summon my past lives》08- Saint Son and Artificer
Advertisement
"When I was alive, I was the Saint Son of the Empyrean race...and I was also the very first Empyrean Artificer. Each of those two titles, couldn't be inherited. You were either born a Saint Son randomly among all Empyreans and I was the very first Artificer because I was gifted with a curious and ingenious mind and my creations couldn't be copied by others no matter how much I taught them. However, I still needed my status as a Saint Son to be able to become an Artificer, the reason being the powers a Saint Son had that completed my Artificer Job." Atlan said.
Damon liked where this was going. Apart from Jata who seemed to be the most powerful previously, he had the impression that this Atlan was even more strong. From the way Atlan subjugated the troublesome lightning man, his strength was no joke and he did it by simply using an endless amount of swords. What else did he have up his sleeve? He couldn't wait to find out.
As for fusing with that unhinged reincarnation of his, he was afraid that his madness would rub off on him.
"Are you talking about the power of controlling Luck that every Saint Son has?" Jata asked.
"Yes, but Luck is the only power that is shared among the Saint Sons. Each Saint Son has another unique ability that is for them alone to use...and mine was a variation of Creation, Imagination Manifestation." Atlan said with a proud look.
"What's the difference with Creation if both use imagination to create anything from nothing?" Jata asked.
Atlan seemed stuck in his words, but his eternal smile resurfaced and he said, "Well, it's true, they are the same, but if imagination is the real source of your power the more intricate, intelligent, meticulous your imagined creations are, the better they will fare if they are put against other Creations."

The others felt that it was too hard to comprehend, so Mad Pill cut to the chase asking, "So how are you going to make them fuse? By imagining it?"
Atlan turned to look at Damon and asked, "You still have those 34 Lottery chances. Correct?"
"Yes." said Damon, not sure where this was going.
Atlan snapped his two fingers and a plain looking sword appeared in front of him. The sword was entirely yellow and seemed to be made of a physical yellow element.
Atlan directed the sword's tip to face Damon and then commanded it to stab the latter before any of the others could understand what was happening.
Jata tried to stop time, but the sword still continued to advance at the same speed as if unaffected.
Jata was starting to think that it wasn't normal for a master of time and space to fail two times in a single day.
The sword pierced Damon and then a pop up appeared before his eyes. He ignored it as he looked down at his chest to see a yellow sword halfway lodged inside it.
He looked at the pop up and then read.
[Cosmic Entity attempting fusion. Accept? YES-NO.]
He looked at Atlan and said, "You want this sword to fuse with me? To what end?"
Atlan then said in a nonchalant way, "You shouldn't be afraid. That sword is one of my oldest creations, the oldest to be exact. It has been absorbing my Luck Energy for the longest time. Now it is capable of generating its own Luck Energy. If you fuse with it, you'll understand what my plans are."
Damon decided to trust him. "System. I accept the fusion."
[Fusion commencing...]
[Scanning Cosmic Entity...]

[Empyrean Particles detected.]
[Empyrean Particles attempting Bloodline Overhaul. Stop it? YES-NO.]
"No. Let it do its thing." At this point, he couldn't go back anymore. Damon only hoped that he wouldn't turn into a sword.
[Bloodline Overhaul completed. You are no longer human. You are now an Empyrean Saint Son.]
[Cosmic Ability {Imagination Manifestation} acquired. No Clash with the Soul Cultivation system.]
[Surplus Luck Energy in great quantities detected.]

"Yes."

[Congratulations, you are now a {Luck Emissary}]
[Congratulations, you are now a {Luck Giver}]
[Congratulations, you are now a {Providence Diviner}]
[As a Providence Diviner, anything or anyone you touch, you can see their fortunes and misfortunes and be able to change them as you see fit to certain extent, they are also imbued with a considerable amount of luck. When it comes to your own life, you can't change anything, but you are blessed by Providence. You will always be lucky and no harm will befall you.]
"Then how did this reincarnation of his die exactly if he had this kind of heaven defying luck?" Damon asked himself.
[New System Ability {Wish} unlocked. 1 Trillion Luck points can be exchanged for one {Wish}. You can ask anything from the System.]
[Some points have to be clarified. You cannot wish for Requiem Souls, only Requiem points and you can only get x2 Requiem Points per wish. You cannot wish for any other kind of Point or Energy or EXP. If that was allowed, then there would be no meaning to my existence. Only Requiem Points and treasures are allowed to be wished.]

Atlan nodded.
"System, redeem 3 trillion Luck Points for x6 Requiem Points." Damon said.

Chimera
Eleanor meant the world to Titus. So when an opportunity to bring her murderer to justice appears, Titus jumps on the chance. His quest, however, would mean traversing the dangerous world of Nivandor, a land infested with monsters, night hunters, and corrupt kings–nothing he and his lord, Lady Priscilla, couldn't handle. Their plans change, however, when both of them are dragged into a nightmare realm, a dimension filled with strange and powerful terrors unlike any they've ever faced. Titus's skill as a kinetic mage is put to the ultimate test as he must work with his lord to fight off the increasingly dangerous monsters that hunt them as they hunt down the three remaining Seraph lords sustaining the Nightmare. For only when the final Seraph lord is slain will the Nightmare truly end. --- Happy Holidays! I tried to get a chapter out this month, but there was just too much stuff to do and I got sick. There will also be more stuff to do come the month of December to the point that I don't think I will have a chance to finish the current story arc on a strong note. So, as of today, I will be going on hiatus until the holidays are over. I will hopefully return with the last few chapters of book 2 as well as the DLC chapters to help clarify Titus and Priscilla's powers as well as a look into their lives before the story gets crazy (maybe 6-7 chapters). These chapters are planned to take place in the day between Chapter 1.4 & Chapter 1.5, detailing the day they had before going to Nivandor. How the DLC chapters will be titled is to be decided. The DLC chapters will be posted here free as usual. Really excited to get a break so I can catch up on chapters. Even more excited to be able to start book 3 once the current story arc is finished. Warmly, Daniel --- Disclamer: This story is not a finished product and will be undergoing changes, sometimes significant changes, as the story develops. Think of it as an early access story where nothing is fully set in stone. If I change a part of the story that you really love, I'm sorry, but changing one part of the story will affect the other parts I try to avoid major changes, especially in older chapters, but for the newer ones there will probably be more fine tuning. As for anyone invested in the story who is not happy with the way the story is going, feel free to DM me so I can get feedback. I want to know how you guys feel about the story, what changes I can make, at what point in the story I may have lost you. But until I get specific feedback, I won't know what changes might need to be made. There are about 14 chapters left for Part 2 of Chimera, give or take. I don't have a time frame for when they will be up but know I am chipping away at the chapters as I can. Obstinate Han
A power progression fantasy with a main character who trains constantly but who lacks purpose, direction, and motivation. The world he lives in, however, is not a peaceful one. As obstinate as Han can be, with all of humanity edging slowly towards annihilation, will he truly be able to avoid becoming entangled in the affairs of the deities fighting over his new universe? This story is a slow burn rather than a fast paced action/adventure, and is centered around the perspective of a main character who struggles with depression, apathy, anhedonia, and asociality. This world was doomed well before he arrived, and he knows it. Rather than following the traditional hero model, he just wants to train for its own sake, and to scrape out occasional moments of happiness in a ruined and dying world.
