《I can summon my past lives》03- Jata's partner soul

"So how did you kill it?"
Jata shook his head, "I didn't, at least not at first. One day, I let it go to do my usual hunt. When I came back, I followed its trail, I found its lair but it wasn't there. I only found an egg in there, it seemed that the presence akin to the White Dragon that I had followed was the White egg itself. If the egg had a presence no weaker than the dragon, it meant that the offspring would eventually grow to surpass it. I then decided to fuse with it."
"I drew the Blood to Soul consolidating rune on the egg and then drew the Soul Fusion rune on my chest."
"What I didn't expect was for the White Dragon Offspring to be a mutated one...it had three heads, each with a different time related power : Slow, See and accelerate. The fusion happened effortlessly and I finished just in time for the dragon to arrive in a maddened state after it had felt its offspring dying."
"I used the Seeing time power of the middle head which allowed me to see the past or the future and foresaw my death 8 seconds later. The reason for my death was that the dragon was burning its own life force to fight me, a thing it had never done before. At that time I could only see only 10 seconds in the future without paying any price. It was also the same amount of time for slowing time or accelerating it. To go beyond that I'd have to tap into my soul energy reserves which I didn't know at the time, but ten seconds for all three abilities was more than enough to take care of that dragon."
"So we fought. I evaded all the lethal moves it sent my way, while trying to think of a better way to kill it."
"I have no idea how long the fight lasted, but at one time the dragon was running on fumes from burning its life force. I could see that its maddened state was receding as it regained its clarity."
"At some point, it didn't even have the power to stop time anymore. So I quickly teleported on its head and then plunged my arm inside its skull killing it instantly."
"As it took its last breath, it sent its soul in my soul space to try and possess me. I didn't know what to do. I was inexperienced in soul battles. Every possible future I saw in those ten seconds spelled my death, except one where I had decided to ignite the Soul Fusion rune on my chest. A simple yet logical act, if I was to die, better to find out whether I could house two partner souls or not. But what I expected didn't happen. As the Soul Fusion rune on my chest operated, what happened was that my first partner soul fused with the adult Dragon soul. I expected another head to sprout, but something incredible happened, the four head fused into one and instead of a juvenile dragon soul, I now had a full grown Dragon with four sets of eyes on one head."
"I had kept the previous powers but another one had now appeared into the mix and I later found out its name was Dimensional Travel, I could travel between different dimensions and universes. I could feel the different planes of existence, I could see them and with a thought I could be there."

"The amount of time I could manipulate time had also increased to one hour, much to my surprise. I didn't get the ability to stop time though, but being able to slow it down was enough."
Mad Pill only had one burning question, "What...what did you do with the dragon corpse?"
"Oh, I ate it." Jata Akil plainly said. "I also ate its bones and marrow. After I was done, I slept for an unknown number of time and when I woke up I had grown even stronger, able to completely stop time for ten hours instead of slowing it. Instead of seeing time I could choose to wake up ten hours in the past or ten hours in the future. It was like time travel, except I was confined within my own body and I couldn't go back to before waking up. As for accelerating time, I could accelerate the movements of my body and other objects to move at incredible speeds. Coupled with my void abilities, I could go anywhere in the multiverse instantly."
"Of course, at that time, I still didn't know that I was a God both in soul and body."
"Yeah, that was the first day of my adventures in the Multiverse."
Mad Pill was still thinking about the number of godly pills that the dragon body, a time dragon to boot, would have allowed him to make.
As for Damon Kaze, his greed for Jata's powers had reached an incredible summit. He didn't care that he'd become suicidal anymore. ''Perhaps there's a chance that I will not kill myself. At the end of the day, I still want to live forever, there's nothing that will change my mind.' He earnestly thought.
A kid with a snotty nose then came running towards them, ""Big bro Damon, the chief wants you to vacate your room before sun...sundown...yeah that's what he said."
"Thank you Alex. I'll be there soon enough." Said a sighing Damon. After the kid left, he asked the two, "He couldn't see you?"
"If we want to be seen we will be seen. Most importantly where are you going to spend the night?" Mad Pill asked.
"Ah...I have no idea. What should I do?" Damon racked his brain trying to find a solution, but nothing came to his mind.
Mad Pill then said, "I may be able to help. Fortunately, I was reborn with my Soul Realm intact. All the medicinal plants I planted in there still look the same as I left them. My trusty Pill Cauldron is there too. All my SoulFires all Intact too, I could even give you a few of them. And even better my repository is untouched. All the pills I stored in there are still there. Let's take a few low level pills and sell them so you could have enough gold to buy yourself a house." He continued, "I would concoct a pill for you to see how it's done, but at my level any kind of pill I make will attract heavenly tribulation. Let alone you, this entire city will be decimated by the sheer power of the tribulation."
"What's a tribulation?" asked a clueless Damon.

"It's when the pills being concocted are heaven defying, thus the laws of the world will try to destroy them before they are fully formed. Most of the time, the alchemist concocting the pills will not survive. Only the most powerful of alchemists can dare to think of using the tribulation to temper their pills, thus creating the purest product." Jata, said from the side.
Damon was starting to think that the stories were straight out of a play. It was too unbelievable.
He went straight to his quarters, took out his belongings and then threw them in the trash dumpster before leaving with big strides.
He got a bottle of twelve pills from Mad Pill. He opened the bottle and took a sniff and felt invigorated. Any kind of fatigue he had had before that was gone.
***
Alduin continent had been peaceful for a long time, but such peace could only be credited to the Merchant Union, who strong armed the kings and emperors on the continent to let go of their greed and work 'together'.
'Work together' as in being subordinate to the Merchant Union who had bases in every city on the continent.
The Merchant Union had accumulated riches for hundreds of years. When the Emperors saw that they could be a nuisance, it was already too late to eliminate the Union.
When a relatively large country had refused to bend the knee, the Merchant Union dispatched an army that no one could tell the numbers of. In less than a day, the kingdom of Erfat was brought to its knees and it served as a lesson to everyone on the continent.
Now, several hundreds of years later, the Merchant Union had grown so much that the Dune planet and its three continents were completely controlled by it.
The current Kingdom of Erfat was the most prosperous of the entire Alduin continent.
Being the only Kingdom fully governed by the Merchant Union, it was right to say that they would invest a little bit more in it than the other cities.
Right now, The trio were wearing black robes with hoodies over their heads. You couldn't see their facial features...and while they had nothing to hide, the treasures they were about to sell were heaven defying for these mortals of Bluelight city.
They had decided beforehand that the two would act as bodyguards for appearances sake. As they took their visible forms, they then wore the black robes that Mad Pill had stored in his repository in his Soul Realm.
As they walked on the streets, they looked like members of a cult. They were the only ones wearing robes on the street.
They arrived at the Merchant Union Branch of Bluelight city.
A guard outside only looked at them once and felt that something was not right. He immediately said, "Halt! State your business."
Damon cleared his throat and then spoke in the deepest voice he could muster, "We're bringing business to your door. Quickly, let us in or else you wouldn't be able to save yourself from the wrath of your masters if they learn you wasted our time."
'Look at this f**ker, he's threatening me! Doesn't he know that the three of them look suspicious?...But what if he's telling the truth?' the guard was in a dilemma.
An old man that looked scholarly was about to enter the Merchant Union building unobstructed by the guards. It could be seen that he had some standing and was a regular.
The old man then looked curiously at the trio and then asked the guard that was still pondering whether to let them in or not, "What's going on Rudolph?" Rudolph was the name of the guard who then recounted everything that had been said.
The old man thought, 'They say they are bringing business to our house but they are empty handed. It's probably stolen goods stashed in a warehouse somewhere in the city. These people will never learn. Maybe I should give word to Chief constable Edmund. But first, I must make them give me the location of their goods. Then I will have them arrested.'
The old man then turned to guard Rudolph and then whispered something in his ear. Rudolph then left in the northern direction.
Without caring whether he spooked them out or not he invited the trio, "Gentlemen, welcome to the Merchant Union. My name is Arthur Drake. Nice to meet you. Please pardon that boorish guard, he is too cautious. I gave him the day off. If you will follow me inside, I'll be the one in charge of your case. "
Arthur Drake received no answer. His mouth twitched and he then walked inside. He turned his head to find out that the trio was closely following him.
"Confident, hey! See how I toy you to death or I am not called Arthur Drake. Right now, Rudolph is inviting Chief Constable Edmund. Humph, who told you to look so shady when you are conducting business." Artur Drake said.
They went through many twists and turns until they arrived at a lavish room on the third floor.
Arthur then invited them to sit, "Please sit."
The three sat on a three place chair with Damon in the middle.
Arthur kept his eyes on Damon as he looked like the one in charge. The clue was that none of the two at his sides sat until Damon was seated.
"So, let's cut right to the chase. What have you brought me? I see that you are empty handed." Arthur said while smirking inside his head.
"We brought you salvation." Said the deep voice of Damon.
As Arthur's mind worked on overdrive trying to decipher the meaning behind those words, he thought, "Are they here to kill people? If not, why would they talk about bringing salvation with their attires that look like they are from a cult? Have I miscalculated? Is this my last day?"
Up until Damon fished out a bottle from his sleeve, Arthur was ready to run as fast as his old bones could allow him.
'Thank god it's not a knife.' thought Arthur, but even then he had yet to relax.

Home of Laplace
I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar mountain peak standing tall above me like seeing a skyscraper from the street. Soon the chilling burn of the snow that covered me began to invade my senses and I flung my torso upward, sitting up straight. I grabbed my head in confusion as my eyes surveyed the area around me: The corner of a mountain wall stood menacingly in front of me accompanied by thin, dangerous looking paths on either side. The likes of which only adrenaline-seeking psychopaths would use. I turned my head backwards and felt my heart drop as what looked like an infinitely long freefall met my gaze. I was sitting on the ledge of a snow-covered mountain. "CRKKKK" A heart-shaking croaking sounded from above me further up the mountain and I jolted backwards at the impossibly loud sound. 'Shit, wasn't there nothing behind me?' The sound of cracking stone accompanied the heart dropping sensation of descension. As I plunged down backwards, the last thing I saw was the deep-set brown eyes of that blue-skinned monstrosity further up the mountain. ----------------------------------------------------- Levi Laplace is a former genius biochemistry student that died a simple and laughable death on earth.
