"Requiem System, what can you do exactly?"
[Every time you level up ten levels, I give you the chance to summon a Requiem Soul.]
[...And each time a Requiem Soul has been Successfully summoned, you gain a Requiem Point. You currently have x2 Requiem Points.]
[There are two ways that you can redeem the Requiem Points with your current authority.
1- Use x3 Requiem Points to Summon a Requiem Soul.
2- Use x7 Requiem Points to permanently fuse with a Requiem Soul with no side effects and gain its full power.]
[Every time you kill something, I can give you the corresponding experience as well as helping you absorb a part of the target's Soul Energy before it dissipates. You can now absorb 10 % of the soul energy of everything you kill at your current level. Every ten levels that percentage will be increased by another 10%.]
[The Soul Energy gained can be used to increase your LVL as well. In the future, you'll be able to convert it into Soul Points which can be used to buy things in the Soul Shop that is unlocked at LVL 50.]
[It is possible to buy other kinds of points in the Soul Shop when it is unlocked, for example, you can exchange 1 Billion Soul Points for x1 Requiem Point.]
[You also have a chance at winning Lottery chances. You are guaranteed to win those at every ten LVL in the Level Up Package and in the Newbie Package that you already got. You can also get them by killing something above your level starting from five levels above you. The stronger the being killed the more Lottery chances you get.]
[Please keep in mind that the Lottery Chances are your only chance of randomly winning any thing or treasure that exists in the Multiverse.]
[Please work hard, Host. More features are on the way.]
As if Mad Pill had heard everything, he said, "Fascinating. To think that such a convenient power exists."
Jata Akil nodded, "Fascinating indeed...but there is one question I have. Does it only allow soul cultivation?"
Before Damon could ask the System, it answered on its own, [Only Soul Cultivation. All the energy I provide him is soul based...but the body should slowly follow in strength after being nourished by the residual Soul Energy the soul emits.]
Mad Pill then said, "You know, young Damon, fusing permanently with my soul won't definitely give you mastery over my alchemy. I spent millions of years perfecting it..."
Jata cut him, "You're just afraid of disappearing for good if he decides to become an alchemist the easy way by fusing directly with you. Let me tell you, he had three choices but he ended up choosing you. Don't you think that he already has an interest in alchemy? When he acquires enough Requiem Points, It'll be when you finally say goodbye to your short second life? How do you feel now? Huh?"
Jata Akil didn't like Old Man Mad Pill, so fanning the flames his way was a very good feeling.
"Please, Mr. Akil. I don't even know what Alchemy is." an embarrassed Damon said, scratching his head. Indeed, he didn't know. He had chosen what he thought and felt was the least dangerous of his previous lives.
Mad Pill had a triumphant smile on his old face, "It's good...It's good that you do not know."
Jata Akil then said with a cunning smile, "Let me educate you my dear friend, Damon. Alchemy is the art of making immortal pills. You can imagine a medicine that can cure all ills and poisons. A medicine that can help you grow stronger or give you special abilities. It is an art with limitless possibilities."

If Old Man Mad Pill wasn't inwardly cursing Jata Akil, he could be having cold sweat if he had a body. He finally said, "Alright. Alright. No need for us to fuse our souls together, I'll teach him everything I know so that he can discover his own path instead of treading on my own."
Damon Kaze was thinking, "What are these two arguing about? I don't even have the required x7 Requiem Points to initiate the fusion. And why would I even choose a decrepit old man to fuse with, he doesn't even feel stronger than Jata. Ah...yes.. How strong is Jata Akil actually? What are his powers, this old man is actually scared of him?"
It didn't take long for Damon to realize that his thoughts were being listened to by these two reincarnations. From the glee he saw on Mad Pill as he looked at Jata, Damon understood that the former was gloating at the misfortune of the latter after hearing his thoughts.
"Ahem, can the two of you please get out of my head?" Damon slowly pleaded as his sanity was being challenged by the constant intrusion.
Mad Pill said, "We can't help it. There's this connection that we can't seem to shut off. If your soul was stronger than us, you'd be in our head too."
Damon then said, "So if i understand you correctly, you can both read my thoughts while Jata can read both our thoughts and you can only read mine?" he said to Mad Pill.
"That's basically it, yes." Mad Pill said.
Damon then turned to look at Jata, "How strong are you really?"
Jata turned serious as if he was unwilling to say anything, but ultimately threw caution to the wind and said, "I used to be a God. I am probably the strongest of your reincarnations."
"Is that the reason you were the first to be automatically summoned before I even bonded with the system?" Damon asked.
"Beats me. And you were born with the system or else I wouldn't have been summoned that early. My guess is that the system needed you to be safe before you met its conditions to unlock it." Jata Akil said.
By this time, Damon turned to look at Mad Pill to find out that he was shivering in anger as he pointed his finger at Jata with the intention of saying something but he was too angry to say it. Finally he said, "If you were a God. There's only one reason you could've died. Suicide. You...You...renounced a real immortal life where nothing could have ever killed you, choosing to die like a loser. Do you know how many immortals dream of true immortality? Do you know how many immortals would sell anything they own, even their own lives for a chance to become a God? You wastrel….you...son of a ..."
"If you insult my mother, I'll scatter your soul." Said Jata in a bid to save Mad Pill from the grave consequences that would fall on him if he finished his words.
Damon had finally found his target for fusion. A god. 'How does it feel to be a God?' he thought.
Jata then shook his head, "I advise you against it. If you fuse with me, you will be influenced by my memories and try to kill yourself eventually."
'Note to self: I shouldn't fuse with suicidal reincarnations.'
'What were his powers, anyway?' Damon thought.
Jata then answered, "Well, I didn't start off as an immortal. My starting point is with a different power system. I come from a world called Dunia. The name is kind of the same as this planet called Dune that you were born on. Those of my Clan were born with the Void Bloodline. A bloodline acquired by our ancestor when he slaughtered a Void Beast. That beast wasn't of a high level but with our study of runes, we managed to turn the bloodline into an immortal one several hundreds of years later. On our planet, there were many clans who survived daily fighting beasts and evolving through the acquisition of bloodlines. Everyone was growing stronger everyday and each clan had a different element or beast as their totem. Eventually, through trial and error a viable rune power system that could be inscribed into our bodies was born. We could then exponentially increase the power of our bloodline by feeding it the blood of other beasts as fuel. All we had to do was drink the blood or soak in it. In the beginning, when the rune power system had yet to be perfected, our ancestors could turn into the beast our bloodline was based on, but eventually that ability disappeared through time and we retained only the Void Element in our bloodline, which was a good thing, because the beast slain by our ancestor was ugly and not many wanted to turn into it. With the runes we eliminated the beast characteristics we were born with, such as sharp teeth, long ears, tails, etc...and regained our human bodies while only keeping only the void element, but we realized our mistake too late. Losing those characteristics had turned us weaker physically. Even if we kept increasing the power of bloodline, eventually we would still be weaker than we were supposed to be. Our clan became less and less powerful as other clans embraced their beast characterics and enjoyed powerful physical strength which allowed them to kill stronger beasts. The mistake was already made and we couldn't recuperate what we already lost, so we turned to more research and eventually we found the gateway to the soul through runes. As we were the first clan to find that gateway, when it was leaked, we almost faced extinction, it would've been the end for us if we didn't agree to share our findings with the rest of the clans...but we were still the only ones who understood that gateway the best. If we could inscribe runes on the body, why not on the soul itself? With that idea driving us, we later found out that we could turn beasts into partner souls. And only one partner soul was the limit for a person no matter the strength of the beast. If you were not strong enough to rein in the beast soul, you would be eaten by the beast itself. So instead of fusing with the souls of powerful beasts, we preferred cubs or eggs that were just about to hatch. Here's how it works : We inscribed a rune on the beast or egg and then the bloodline of the beast would be dissolved into the soul, then after adding the corresponding rune onto our bodies, we could fuse with that beast soul. The younger the partner soul was, the better its potential to grow. To strengthen our two souls we used the same method as we fed it the blood of beasts as fuel, therefore we could strengthen our bodies and souls at the same time with the runes inscribed on our bodies. The advantage of having a partner soul was that we gained not only another element in addition to our Void element, but we could also turn into the physical body of our partner soul. There was a kind of influence to the human body with the bloodline already dissolved into the partner soul that allowed us to gain beastly characteristics.

So our choice of partner soul became of paramount importance since it was the only one we would get for our entire life. It later became a kind of rite of passage for the young ones to find their destined partner soul…"
"Wait, your story is too long...tell us your powers and how you became a God." Damon was feeling like he didn't learn anything important and urged Jata to get to the point.
"Well, I was the best hunter of our clan and I was also the best in line as Chief despite not having a Partner Soul yet. With a universe overrun by beasts, I couldn't help but feel that the stronger I could get physically, the better the partner soul I could hunt was. So, I waited, until the purity of powerful blood in the most powerful beasts became less and less as all the clans hunted them all down. Thanks to the Void element that allowed my clan to control space and survive in the void, I eventually left the Dunia Planet and went on a killing spree across the solar system and I still couldn't find the ideal partner soul after bathing in all that blood. So I went further and further, until thousands of years later I met that dreadful beast that couldn't be killed. What was funny was that it couldn't really attack me either when it found out that our physical strength was even. By that time, I had drunk and bathed in so much beast blood after thousands of years that I had no idea how strong I was." A reminiscent look was Jata Akil's face.
Damon, who wanted to know what kind of beast could be so strong and whether it ended up being his partner soul, asked, "What kind of beast was it?"
"It was a White dragon. When I met it, it tried to talk to me in some kind of beast language. I think it was interested in my origins, seeing a human in space like that. When I couldn't answer, it tried to kill me for some reason, I blocked it and then it grew scared and ran away. I chased it thinking that I had finally met my match. A month, a year, several hundred years, I have no idea how long our fight lasted. At first I thought it was insanely fast but still be as strong as I was, but the truth was another matter entirely: It could stop time. Every time it stopped time and punched me several galaxies away I could always teleport to its side and attack again. The cycle repeated itself over and over again until I thought about changing tactics. After trying to locate it after it had punched me so I could teleport right at its side to resume fighting, I had developed a kind of Divine sense as Immortals called it. So I decided to let it go for a while as I scanned for the other powerful beasts in that part of the universe, I'd then kill them and absorb their blood to become stronger and then come back to fight the dragon to see if I had the chance to finally beat it. But no one can fight against time, it's impossible..."Jata said and looked as if remembering a painful memory.
"So how did you kill it?" Damon asked, eager to know the answer.

To the contrary, the human soul is a physical object, an organ which resides in the chest of each individual. It is a great source of strength, but also of vulnerability. Hardship can leave scratches and blemishes, or even break the soul in two. The soul is each person's connection to divinity, to the magic which is ubiquitous to the world. It enables the cultivation of gods, but old legends warn of demons emerging in the presence of corrupt intention, and of hollow warriors, with no soul at all. There are two sides to every page.
