:::Ding: Gained spell- Wood Manipulation Lvl 1
(Wood is a part of nature representing life and survival. It is tough and sturdy which can defend against the elements but also can give birth to fruits and such bringing sustenance to others. Using nature elemental mana, a mage can use wood as if it is a part of their body to bring about destructive or positive results.)
“Get him and beat him quickly!” Arthur commanded over the two boys.
They quickly started running at James who after calming down started planning how to use his new spell against them. He turned away from them and started running away after getting around the tree, but also at the same time sending nature element to his hands. Still having Lightning Augment active on his legs made escaping easy but James had something else planned.
He zig zaged through trees and jumped over bushes until he found the perfect spot. Looking back, he noticed the boys were a good distance away and bent down with his right hand on the ground. If Arthur could see he would have noticed the smirk before James cast his newest spell, “Wood Manipulation.”
He controlled a branch close to him to enter a bush one of the boys was about to jump over and create a stretched out line to prevent the boy from passing.
As the boy finally reached the bush he jumped over but got his foot caught and immediately face planted head first into the ground. Grazing a rock with his forehead he avoided any serious damage but is still knocked him out cold. The other boy didn't even process this happening and kept running after James.
Sending another pulse of mana while the spell is active, James noticed the boy would have to pass by a tree before finally reaching him.

James sent another branch near his hand to wrap around a huge bigger one that was on the tree to gain control.
As the boy was approaching the tree, he noticed James with his hand on the ground. He was confused by this but had his commands from Arthur and while making a fist he prepared to swing on James. Not noticing the branch start to move he was hit in the chest which knocked the breathe out of him.
Standing up James looked over the two boys bruised and out for the count unable to even stand. He listened for more footsteps from Arthur but did not hear them.
Leaving the boys James sneakily made his way back the way him and the boys came from. Only a short walk through the forest James’s noticed Arthur strolling his way through with a look like he owned the world. His chin was high and laughing while he described how he would torture James and Susy.
James noticed Arthur is still a small distance away from the boys and decides to hides behind a giant bush that Arthur will pass by. Not wanting to do the same move as before and give away his element, he noticed Lightning Augment has ended.
His mana was low but he had just enough for one more spell. With his class and the double mana pool he can cast more than double the number of spells that most people at his level could. The Wood Manipulation took a lot of extra mana because he essentially had to control and hold different pieces of wood. He should have two more spells worth of mana but instead left with one is more than enough.
James whispered, “Lightning Augment,” but this time focusing the element to his right arm. He has yet to practice too much with his arms, but it should quicken his punch which will make the impact greater. Arthur could not hear James because he was being careful when walking and carelessly made his way to walk past the bush. As he rounds to the other side, he is met with a fist straight to the nose completely unprepared.

“AHHHH!,” Arthur screamed falling backwards to the ground holding his now bloody nose.
James stepped over him and bent down sending another quick punch to Arthur’s gut getting Arthur to cough up and move his hands to his stomach.
“What was that about my sister you said?” James yells at Arthur sending another punch to his face this time planning to hit wherever wasn't protected.
“I did not mean it! It was just a joke,” Arthur tried to convince James with teary eyes.
Taking a deep breathe James looked Arthur in the eyes.
“Look you piece of shit, there are certain things I will not tolerate. Threatening me or my family is one of those things. Normally I would kill you right here on the spot just to avoid you coming after me or my sister in future….” James said as he noticed the fear in Arthur.
James put on a look like he was thinking while Arthur started shaking and crying. Noticing Arthur wet his pants James realized it was time to put a finish to this.
“You came after me in the woods to beat me up because you think you run the world. Let me fill you in on something, you are nothing. When we are at school we will be equals and anything you can do, I can also. If you fuck with me or send someone to fuck with me, I will kill you!," another punch was thrown at Arthur.
"If you so much as talk with my sister or parents, I will kill you!," followed by yet another punch.
"Actually If you even look at me longer than a second, I will kill you!,” James sent out the last punch making sure to add a bit of extra power to it.
Again, looking into Arthur's eyes James sent mana to his own.
A blue flashing of mana covered James's eyes making him look scary and powerful causing Arthur to shake. “But I will let you live for now. Just stay in your lane and go on your little power trip with anyone else but those I care about. Do you understand Arthur Loor?" James demanded an answer.
“Y…yes,” Arthur stuttered trying to look away from those blue demonic eyes as he held his nose and stomach.
Standing up James stepped to the side of Arthur while looking at him for the last time before sending a kick to his ribs then turning away and heading back to camp.
Walking back to camp James paid no mind to if the boys would be ok, he figured they would be able to walk in a couple of hours. It wasn’t until the camp was in view that he remembered that he forgot something important, ‘Damn it, I never got to use the bathroom!’

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.

Forgive me, I didn't mean to take that!
Murong Yingyue is the heiress to a famous cultivator clan. Except that’s she’s really not, and just a stand-in for the real heiress, who had been sickly since she was born. And she’s not really even herself. A transmigrator from Earth had transmigrated into the body of a female demoness, inheriting her memories. The transmigrator had then later died, transmigrating into her infant body! Ah, Why is it so convoluted? She grew up with those memories, and when she was finally sufficiently strong enough to travel the world safely, she eagerly embraced a leisurely life. When I was a demoness, I didn't know how to live without constantly being on guard and having to calculate every move I make. When I was on Earth, I didn't know a life without romantic drama and jealous women! I'll enjoy these two things you have missed, then! I'll do whatever I want and avoid troublesome people. So... How the f*ck did I get into this stupid cliche storyline? And as the main character, too? I don't want to be the main character! They attract so many senseless cannon fodders and powerful enemies, and furthermore, don't they attract romantic interests like it's no one's business? Someone help me! This will read better if you are familiar with wuxia novels. Discontinued. Apologies to all who liked the story. I feel that my writing style has changed since I last wrote for this story, so I tried to get myself to rewrite the story but I couldn't find any motivation to do so. I also lost the outline I had for this story and don't really remember what direction it was going in, so I want to leave the story as is. Thank you to the people who read and favorited this.
