The priest's strength took Adil by surprise. His power to disappear, and kill the strongest group of goblins chilled Adil to the bone. The cold uncaring way the priest killed even his own men, carelessly freezing them to death, was deeply worrying.

Adil saw where the soldiers were at, they were only halfway through, but still, it was more bad news. There were odd soldiers scattered around the dungeon having run after encountering a few of the creatures there, but a skilled group still progressed steadily through the top area whilst the elites together with the frost mage priest held the low ground. Both elite groups appeared to be going directly for the hidden base. The base he was currently in, the not completed base that only stood as a hiding spot for goblin children or a temporary hold for the forge spawn crystal and war table.

Adil had accumulated a limited stack of weapons, created through the "mana-pushing" ability of the forge. Where the forge's mana was used to enhance the properties of makeshift weapons passed through. The stack of weapons was not that great; they were enhanced in both size and damage, but the quality of the material used meant that there was little extra that could be added to them through the forge's abilities. To battle against the diminishing quality of the weapons, Adil sent drones to try and pick up the weapons dropped. He had managed to find a way in which the drones could travel through the ground with little to no effort and though at a slower pace, drag the weapons and armour back.

Which was good, because of the angry expression Aku sent him after he resurrected made it seem as though he very much wanted his zweihander back. Without time to explain though, he just pointed the goblins down the path; he gave a tsk as he passed, still angry even without direction. Now Adil saw the map highlight possibilities for him, he thought about an ambush of archers and saw options arise across the war table for where the best ambushes would work. Focusing then on ones which would work against the priest, they suddenly all went red before fading to black and disappearing. It didn't seem like anything could work; he tried to think a while longer creating the most effective strategies he could in the limited time he had.

he came up with something, it wasn't great, but it was an idea, frustrated he threw away the other options, something his dad used to say flicked back to his ears. "a bad decision is better than no decision." Even with all the times, following that idea had not personally worked out for him, it seemed appropriate here.

"Swift," Adil said in a steady tone.

"I need your fire."

"Why do I always fuck up." one of the soldiers cried to himself, he was now hiding in the back end of one of the caves, having run from acid spraying plants, moles that dragged others underground and even a flaming fox.

"We have a big mission for you, Steve. One last chance Seve," the soldier was whimpering now.

"I've never even used a sword before, and they send me on a crusade." The last part of what he said echoed through the cave; he realised then that he shouldn't talk.

An elk popped its head around the corner; a slight glow appeared within its horns.

"That's so pretty." The soldier said, he was staring into the light and knew it was dangerous, but now he could do nothing but stare.

A blast shot into the wall where he just was after another soldier tackled him and slammed him into the side.

"You fucking shit fuck fuck." the other soldier said having slammed him into the wall. He seemed to be incredibly skittish. The elk started charging another shot but the new soldier dove behind the corner of the cave into another tunnel and dragged the whimpering man with him. Another shock erupted from the cave. The skittish man jumped back into the cave and at the elk, he managed to push the head up before another shot ripped into the ceiling and with his dagged repeatedly stabbed the beast in the neck. A light disappeared from the beast's eyes as it fell to the floor, the man on him jumped off it and then began pacing across the tunnel.

"This was the plan. We die, the plan, we die." He pulled something out of his side pocket and took a sniff before putting it back, some white powder now visible on his unshaven face.

"Are you ok?" Asked the whimpering man.

"Do you not SEE?!" shouted the soldier. Steve just backed away further into the corner.

"Were not good enough to be here, were not meant to be here, we shouldn't fucking be here!!"

"it's the church it has to be, they are uuup to something."

"I just want to go home." Steve said.

"Oh you better not do that." The man said.

"what?"

The man grabbed Steve this time and staring him in the eyes he shouted

"DO I LOOK LIKE I KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!?" The white powder clearly showing along his face.

Just then a silvery head popped over the side, a buzzing electricity sound murmuring around it. It was a meerkat, both soldiers screamed and ran.

They ran down the corridor and saw a buzz of electricity slide along the walls move ahead of them and then dissipate on the ground in front, leaving behind a meerkat. Changing directions they saw the silvery lightning scatter along the wall again, it jumped off the wall and aimed towards Steve's chest. He put his dagger in the way and the lightning seemed to envelop around it. An elk appeared around the corner, he threw the dagger towards it. The lightning coated metal hit the lower side of the elk seeming to anger it into charging up one of the larger shots. As the mana discharge reached a frightening size, lightning from the dagger shot into the elk and the elk grew a shocked expression, a second later the elk exploded, splattering its insides against the walls and leaving behind what appeared to be the meerkat.

"OH SHIT" shouted the drug addict. Whilst Steve had been staring at the elk the addict had been running the other way, and now along that side appeared two more of the elk, they all saw the carcass of the deceased animal and bared their teeth noticing the new threat to their lives.

arcane blasts rocketed past them, and towards the meerkat shaking the cave as it hit. The two soldiers managed to get around another corner escaping the battle before there was a silence. They carried on running, panting and running, exerting all their stamina. looking back along the tunnle they saw flashes of bright cyan-white light. Lightning seems to caress the walls, two separate streaks were now shooting towards them.

"Block it with metal," Steve said to the drug addict. The man looked at him with utter confusion before a spark of realisation seemed to cross his face. The drug addict pulled out a bastard sword from his side, it was impressive he could carry that thing and move so fast, after losing his shield sword and dagger Steve just took off one of his gauntlets.

Steve trying to pull off his gauntlet just grew a sad realisation as he saw the lightning come towards him before he even managed that. Then he fell over, falling down a slanted part of the tunnel, the rocks scattering as he bounced along. When he eventually landed at the bottom, he groand and looked up. Seeing his closest ally jumping towards him, in the air with a bastard sword in tow as a bolt of lightning shot towards him. He looked up and instinctively held his gauntlet in front of him. The metal enveloped it and he shoved it down under a rock. Pressing hard against the gauntlet and possibly bending the metal with the rock, somehow the meerkat didn't seem to be able to get out. He was holding it under the rock, seeing electricity scatter around it.

He looked up and saw how the mad soldier was flying through the air towards him now, the lightning within his sword.

He was between two things of immense danger, feeling as though this was an inevitable conclusion Steve was ready to accept his fate when an explosion ruptured the ground beneath him. Bits of meerkat were scattered around and he was pushed slightly off the ground.

The spot he was on seemed to crumble then, its structural integrity lost. They fell a good 10 feet before landing on something. he saw around him goblins and soldiers alike staring in awe, they appeared to be looking more towards the drug-addicted soldier, as the man's sword having stabbed straight down, exploded in a force of blood and guts. For some reason, everyone, goblins and soldier seemed to give a cheer. Steve thought for a moment if he had somehow taken some of the other soldier's drugs.
