I stood in a large open arena, ready to take on one of the most powerful beings, called Holway. Never thought in my wildest dream that there was a point in my life or, afterlife, if I should say, to go up against a powerful being like him. To be honest, It was terrifying. I didn't know what got into me to agree on fighting him. This person right here, who took the appearance of one of my 'friends.' Created a planet moments ago and this arena. For me, fighting him was suicidal.

"Before we start, here take this," he began to cast something on his left hand and threw it at me. Caught it with my left hand and looked at it before facing him.

"Why are you giving me this bell?" I asked him.

"Well, I don't want to be the only one here that has to be in defense. I want to attack too, you know. Plus, you also need to test which of those abilities can defend you."

"Well, I can't argue with that." I agreed.

He was right. If I constantly attacked him. I only tested the abilities of their attacking style. But, if he tried to attack me, I won't even care because I didn't have anything to lose. But, with this bell, he had a reason to attack me, and I had my reason to defend myself. Plus, testing which abilities could attack and supported at the same time.

He said, "Great."

I hung the bell on my belt on the left side. Hopefully, this bell won't come out smoothly. I took a glance at him before looking at my sword.

Would the same method work again?

Well, only one way to find out. That was trying it again.

Stabbing my sword into the floor and transformed myself into a fly.

Then, boosted my flight speed and flew towards him.

The plan was going smoothly so far, but it gave me a bad feeling.

Because whenever a plan goes smoothly. It tended to fail eventually.

Unaware of what happened next, my tiny self gets thrown away to a nearby pillar.

It reverted me to my original body as I fell down to the floor. I felt pain all over my body when I touched the ground.

Pulling myself up and looked at him. To my surprise, he was still standing at the exact same place. His body didn't move, which was strange for me.

But most importantly, how did I get thrown into the pillar?

I didn't feel any type of contact whatsoever when I flew toward Him. Did he cast something when I wasn't paying attention?

"Oh? How did you ended up there? Didn't you just stand in front of me a few moments ago?" he played innocent.

He used Arvin's signature smile. That smile always made my blood boiled.

I knew they are two different types of people but, I hated that smile whenever he does it.

It was like, that smile was asking for trouble, and whenever there was trouble. I had to fix it.

Let me wiped that pretty smile out from his face with this attack. I looked at the sword. That was planted on the ground, held my hand towards it, and cast wind magic on it.

The sword slowly pulled itself from the ground and flew towards me at high speed. I grabbed the sword mid-air and focusing my mana on it. Then, applied lightning magic on the sword.

The sword started to be filled with lightning. I held the sword with my two hands and tightened my grip. Then, slashed the air in front of me.

"Take this, you imposter. Wide Lightning Slash!" I shouted.

"Oi, I thought you hated him," he called.

A lightning slash appeared and headed straight to Him. When it traveled, it produced the sound of a thousand birds chirping continuously at high speed.

The sound was so loud that it covered his voice, making me not heard what he said.

Holway didn't seem to notice it. When the attacks get closer to him. He quickly put his hand in front and started to cast a spell.

"Shield Wind of Light!" He had cast a shield wind and knew he felt for it.

The lightning slash was not there to hurt him, but instead, it was to draw his attention.

I flicked my finger to change the lightning slash, "Lightning Flash."

The lightning slash flashed a bright light toward Him. He closed his eye and put his hand in front of him.

"Ack..."

The flash faded, and he opened his eyes and noticed that I was gone. He scratched his head with a perplexed expression.

"Huh? Where did he go?"

His expression changed instantly. He looked above him and saw me with my hand on the sword, ready to strike him.

The second purpose of the flash was to launched a surprised attack from above. I enhanced my strength with Superhuman Strength Ability. So, that it would deal heavy damage onto him.

"Heavy Sword Strike!" I shouted, swinging the sword with full power.

He quickly jumped back a few meters, narrowly avoiding my sword strike. The sword touched the ground where he once stood, and a large crater was formed along with a large cloud of dust.

Holy crap! This ability's absolutely amazing.

No wondered people get corrupted by it pretty quickly. It would take a strong-minded person to wield this kind of power, and if the enemy saw him, they might pee in their pants while running away.

Regardless of how powerful this ability. How did he know I was going to strike him from above?

The thing is, I was pretty sure that he won't notice me. Did he bypass my mind-false-reading ability?

"Very clever tricks," he smiled, "You might be wondering how I knew you were coming from above. Well, I use the premonition ability."

Oh! So, that how he knew I was coming. He had the same ability as me. Was that the only ability he has on him?

“Yup,” he cheered.

That smiled was getting on my nerves.

“Do you honestly think that you're the only one here that has all the ability?”

“Not entirely. Thanks for clearing that out for me.” I replied with a smile on my face.

Why did he tell me that? But it did save me the hassle to investigate what other abilities he had. Thanks to him, I changed my strategy to a long-range attack.

I changed my sword to a gun, then supplied it with my mana. It started to charge up, and I applied it with wind magic.

Thanks to the supply of mana and knowledge from Large Mana Quantity and Superhuman Intelligence. I could charge the gun with ease and if I recalled from my past life. It took me 3 months to learned it. Plus, a whole year to perfecting it.

I put my finger on the trigger and pulled it, "Tornado Bullet."

The bullet exited the gun and spins, creating a tornado that followed it. The shot went straight to him.

He formed a rock wall to protect himself, "Rock Wall of Light."

A wall with stranged carving or symbol appeared in front of him, and it began to light up. The bullet hit the wall, and a cloud of smoke appeared when its impact.

The smoke cleared up, and I was surprised and confused to see the rock wall still standing. The rock wall managed to stop the attack, and no cracks or any kind of damage could be seen on the wall.

How did he do it?

He stepped out from behind the rock wall with a smile on his face. That damn smile again.

"Well, it was because of my divine light magic."

"Your divine light magic?"

"Yes, this magic allows me to reinforce the wall, and so when the bullets hit the wall, it doesn't affect it. The same thing happens moments ago when you crash on the pillar," he explained.

Then, it must mean... he used that spell on something invisible.

"Wait, what spell did you use?" I asked him.

"Nope, I won't tell you. Why not you think to that yourselves try use the superhuman intelligence. It might help you."

I took his advice and started to think using the superhuman intelligence ability. It took me some time, but I finally figured it out.

"So, that's how you do it," I glared at him.

"Ooo... that glare kinda pokes straight to my heart," he teased.

“Anyways, care to explain how I do it? I want to hear your explanation,” he told me with a smile.

“You used wind spell, and then you enhanced it with your light magic, right?” I asked him

Holway nodded, “Indeed, I did.”

“When I flew towards your flank, that wind spell pushed me to the pillar. Not only that, the light magic allowed the wind spell to be undetectable. Am I right?” I pointed my gun at him.

He looked at me, and he stabbed his sword on the ground. Then, he clapped his hand.

"Bravo, looks like the superhuman intelligence does come in handy?"

"It does," I cast the handgun with mana and applied it with the wind magic.

"By the way, please don't smile. It doesn't suit you," I teased but at the same time warned him.

"I see...," he smiled once more before stopping his claps.

My stress level was getting higher every time he smiled using that face. Could he just stop doing this to me?

He pulled his sword from the floor.

"Now then, let's see if you can handle this!" he shouted.

"Rise, my minion," he pointed his sword above him,

As he said those words, a giant circle appeared above us, it looked like a portal, and something was coming out of it.

The thing dropped to the ground, and I looked at it. The thing looked like a human, but its entire body was covered with light.

One by one, those human-like things came out from the portal and stared at me.

Oh boy, do they hold a grudge against me? Cause I kind of feel, a little overwhelmed by their stares.

"What is that spell, and what are these things?"

"Oh, this spell is called "Light Minion Summoning" it is a spell that allows beings like me to summon minions that fights for us. This things right here are my minion, and they are entirely made of light. Not only that, they are completely lifeless, so you don't have to worry when you start killing them," he explained.

"Oh," I smiled.

Good, now I could let loose and test all the abilities to my pleasure.

The portal closed, and he pointed his sword at me with a smile, "Prepare to face my minions, Alex."

"Come bring it and don't use that smile, I've warned you!" I shouted.

"No can do," he refused, "If this smile makes you lose focus on this fight, then I'll gladly use it for the sake of winning."

"Then, Fuck you!" I fumed.

"My minions, attack that man," he instructed his minions to attack me.

The minions followed his order and ran towards me.

I summoned a sword on my left hand. Then, cast mana on both of my weapons. After that, I applied magic spells to it. I added the gun with wind magic and added lightning magic on the sword.

"Wide Lightning Slash," I slashed the air in front of me.

The attacks flew towards the minion, cutting them in half, and electrocuted them. Some of the minions vanished into thin air. After that, I aimed my guns at them and pulled the trigger, "Tornado Bullets."

The bullets traveled through the air creating a tornado and struck the middle of the group. The tornado expanded and spun violently, swiping away the minions.

As the tornado faded, I boosted my speed, ran towards the remaining minions, cutting through them with a quick and precise movement. One by one, the minions began to fade.

We looked at each other. Then, I teased him, "Is that all you got?"

He didn't seem to be bothered by it. Instead, he smiled.

That smile was an entirely different smile. He was planning something. I figured I would have to see a glimpse of the future. But to do that, I had to change a specific aspect of the premonition ability and combine it with time travel and all-seeing eye ability. To combine them, I needed to use the ability modifier.

Before I could modify them, a vision of a griffin attacking me from behind appeared. The vision faded and, I looked back and, no griffin could be seen.

Strange? Where was the griffin? I asked myself before I finally realized his plan.

He was going to summon a griffin and launched a surprise attack on me. I need to stop him before it was too late.

I slashed my sword in the air and fired my guns at him. Both of my attacks fused and became a new type of attack.

"Tornado Lightning Shot," I shouted.

The attacks headed straight to him. He waved his sword in the air for the first time during this battle, and a large bird made of light appeared and clashed with it.

Our attacks clashed, and a bright light blinded us. Covered my eyes with my hand.

The lights vanished, and I put away my hand, saw Him pointed his sword to the air.

"Summoning Light - Griffin."

A large circle appeared underneath his feet, and multiple griffins came out from it and hovered above him. Then, he summoned another group of minions.

He pointed his sword at me and ordered his army, "Attack him."

The griffins separated into two groups. The first group and the minions joined forces to attack me. The other groups shot several fireballs at me.

My situation was dire because I couldn't block or dodge all those attacks at once. It led me to use that ability.

Their attacks inched closer to me. Hasty, using my time travel ability and rewound time before they attacked. Time slowly reversed itself, and it stopped before the griffins and minions attack.

"Wait!" he shouted as he realizes what I did, "Did you just rewind time?"

It seemed like manipulation of time didn't affect him, which was kind of a letdown. I was planning to rewind time to where the bell had already on my hand. If I was going to lose. Guess I had to cross that plan out.

I ignored him and pointed my gun at the summoning group, and charged it with mana. Then, I applied it with lightning and took several shots.

"Lightning Bullets."

The shots traveled directly at them and went through the first group before hitting the second group. The griffins get electrocuted and faded into thin air. With both groups being removed. I could now focus on the minions.

Time to handle these pesky minions. A minion turned his sword at me, and I parried it with my sword before striking his chest.

Another minion tried to attack me from the front, and I quickly fired a shot at him.

The shot hit his chest, and he disappeared. I pulled my sword from the first minions and ran toward the other minions.

The minions continued their assault on me, and I took several lightning shots at them while running.

The shot took down several minions, and when I got closer to them. I applied my sword with wind magic.

“Wind Slash.”

I twirled my sword at them, and a gust of wind sliced them in half.

Three minions tried to attack me from behind. I turned my gun towards them without looking and fired three shots.

The shots hit their head, and they all vanished.

I rolled my eyes to my left and right side and saw the minions were trying to flank me.

It was a smart move, but they were up against someone who had dealt with this kind of situation before.

Turning my sword into a gun and pointed them to my flanks. Then, I charged it with my mana and applied them with lightning magic.

"Lightning Strike Bullets," I shot a single round from my guns.

The bullets exited from the gun and released a powerful lightning strike that spread into multiple shots that went through the minions.

The minions get electrocuted and faded into the air. Looking around my surrounding. There was nothing left, No griffins nor minions could be seen.

For a second there, I thought I was toast. I guess I managed to prevent the premonitions from happening.

My ears caught a bird sound coming from behind me. It was the griffin.

The griffin came out behind me and tried to attack me with its sharp claws.

"Sorry, that's not going to happen. Try next time." I changed my whole body skin to steel using the body modifier in a flash.

When the griffins attack it. I didn't feel any pain.

That was a close one.

Turning around, and saw the griffin launched another attack at me.

In a flash, I channeled a lightning spell on my skin.

"Lightning Conductor."

The electricity flowed through my steel skin. When the griffin's claw touched it. He gets electrocuted straight away and perished into thin air.

"Well, that do the trick," I said.

Someone's footstep was coming from behind me. In a flash, I turned around and saw Holway swinging his sword at me.

His sword clashed with my skin, and it broke in half. I wasted no time and took several shots at him.

He quickly transformed his broken sword into a shield and blocked the incoming shots. Then, He attacked me with a light ball.

I jumped to the left and dodged the attack. The ball struck a pillar and, it came crashing down to the side.

I gasped, "Wow."

If I got hit by that, without a doubt, it would cause me a lot of pain, like a lot of excruciating pain.

Holway summoned another sword and shifted it with his shield.

He reinforced his attack and defense with his light magic.

He channeled light magic on his sword and shield and then dashed towards me, and as he got closer, He swung his sword at me.

In a flash, I changed my right gun to a sword and surrounded it with mana to block the incoming attack.

Our sword clashed and, cracks appeared on the ground underneath me. It was the result of our sword clashing.

Holway used his shield and bashed me with it. I got hit by it and thrown towards a pillar.

I cried in pain when I crashed on the pillar, and my body dropped to the ground. I looked at him, and he jumped in the sky with his sword aimed right at me.

"Eat this!" he shouted.

I jumped straight away to the right and dodged the attack. His sword touched the ground where I once stood, and a cloud of smoke appeared.

I took the opportunity and attacked him with a wind slash. The wind slash went through the smoke and cleared it, and it headed straight towards him.

He used his shield and blocked the attack. Surprisingly, he managed to withstand it.

It was difficult. So, I wasted no time and jumped on him, kicked his shield with my superhuman strength.

The attack forced Him to get thrown towards a pillar and crashed onto it. It crumbled on top of him, and a cloud of dust appeared. He emerged from the rubble and looked at me.

"That's one powerful kick," he told me.

"Thank you, want some more?" I goaded.

"Oh please, don't get too cocky because of that."

"Am I getting cocky? Sorry, it must be the ability trying to corrupt me," I joked.

"Well then, let me pull you back to reality."

He picked up his sword and dashed towards me. Carried his sword in the air, "Heaven's Slash."

A slash of light appeared and got closer to me. Blocking it using my sword, but it wasn't enough. The force behind it pushed me to the ground.

Struggled to stand up and looked at Holway. He was casting another summoning spell and, a large group of griffins emerged. The size of the groups was two times bigger than the ones before.

The situation was getting dire. To saved myself, I had to summon my own army, but how did he do it? And the only way for me to know was using that spell.

The army's murderous intent reached me as they glared.

No other way, all the solutions result in me getting injured. It seems I'd put my feelings aside and used that ability. Never thought there could be the day that I would have to use that ability.

Using the fast learner ability, ability modifier, and memory viewer to access my memory.

My memory showed me the summoning spell and, I used that to learn it. Analyzing how much mana it was needed, the condition for it being effective, and the spell chant.

So, that's how he did it.

After reviewing my memory, I started to focus on my mana. Then, I chanted the spell's name, "Summoning Spell - Griffin."

I pointed my sword at him and, a large circle hovered above me. Then, a group of griffins came out from it. A griffin flew and landed beside me.

I rode at the back of the griffin. Then, the griffin lifted itself and flew to the air before hovering. Looking over at Holway, and noticed a surprised expression.

"I never imagine that you will have to use that ability. I thought you hated it."

"Well, consider the large army you got there I have to let my feeling aside just this once."

"Kukukuku... Arvin must be very proud of you using that ability of his," he teases.

Oh, he’s getting annoying.

"Alright, boys, there's your target. Go get him," I ordered the griffins.

The griffins followed my order and attacked him.

"You're going to attack first? Not on my watch," he told me.

He ordered his army, "Attack him!"

His large army of griffins followed his instruction and launched an attack. Our army clashed mid-air and, they released fireballs and pounced against one another. Their fight was gruesome and terrifying, and one by one, each of our summonings disappeared.

I aimed my gun at Holway, and I charged it with mana and wind magic.

I took a shot, the bullet traveled straight to him. The bullets spin and created a tornado along with it. The griffin that I was riding on released a fireball at him. Our attacks fused and became a new type of magic attack.

"Inferno Bullets!"

His army saw the incoming attack. They tried to defend him but, our attacks burned them into crisp. It continued to travel straight to Him. He summoned a wall of light in front of him.

The attack hit the wall and, it was reflected at me. My army tried to defend me by using their bodies as shields, but it went straight through them before going after me. The griffin that I was riding on try to escape the attack.

Holway released several light balls at us. The attack hit us and, we were falling toward the ground.

The Inferno Bullet got closer to me, quickly transformed myself into slime, and safely landed on the ground. Changing myself back to my original body and summoned a shield.

The Inferno Bullet hit my shield. I felt the heat emitting from the attack. It almost feels like being surrounded by molten lava.

"Wow, you withstand the attack! I'm surprised. Did you know that I reinforced the flames before sending it back to you? he gasped in admiration.

"So, that's why it's so freaking hot!" I shouted at him.

The attack disappeared. Putting down the shield, and looked at Holway while puffing.

"Anyways, I will end this fight with this," he told me.

He cast something on his hand. Suddenly, my mind was filled with visions of me getting stabbed, crushed, beheaded, chewed, tortured, and electrocuted in the most gruesome way possible during this fight.

"What... Did... You... Ack...," my knees fell to the ground.

Screaming in pain because of what I saw. The feeling was so real. This vision might be a glimpse into the future. If I continued the fight.

Holway flew towards me and snatched the bell from my belt. Then, he cast a spell on my mind and, my vision stopped.

"I won," he declared.

"How did you do it," I panted heavily with a scared expression.

He looked at me before responding to my question, " I change the premonition ability from seeing a glimpse into the future to casting nightmare on you."

So, he used the ability modifier to change the premonition abilities. Honestly, it was clever and messed up.

"That's mess up," I said.

"I know but, I want to win," he told me.

"Yeah, and you did it in the most gruesome act."

"Fine, as a sign of apology, let me heal you."

"I don't need your help. I can use the healing ability."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, you can start removing the arena while I'm healing."

"Okay then." Holway sighed and walked away. I kind of felt bad for saying that.

"Holway!" I shouted. Holway stopped his steps and looked at me.

"Honestly speaking, I'll do the same thing just like you did."

"Oh? What are you on about?"

"Well, I did say something bad at you... A while ago."

"Oh, that... You don't have to worry about it. You're free to express yourself, and judging by your action just now, I can tell that you have a heart... Well, sort of... Anyways just go tend your wounds."

Holway left me. I began to attend to my wounds. Using the healing ability to heal my injury and the trauma that I suffered from the vision. After that, I combined it with memory viewer by utilizing the ability modifier to remove the nightmare from my memory.

Holway cast a spell and made the arena disappeared. Slowly the ground started to fade and, the damage on the place was also fixed. Moments later, we were back in the same area before the fight begins.
