《The village elder is manipulating our minds!》The Village is on its last legs

-Thank you for the water Richard.
-It's nothing Jonathan.
'After taking a few big gulps of water I said:'
-... I already know what we need to do.
-Oh?
-What was I doing before losing my memory?
-You were scouting the place, we did this for a few days while you ordered a few of us to gather all of the food and money we had left while another group cleaned the crop fields. That was when you lost consciousness with the brick.
-Here is the map you were making.
I made a map in a few days?
Hand-drawn maps are very difficult to make.
The previous me was probably trying to see if we had any money and how much food we had left.
-What season are we in now?
-At the very end of winter, we could even consider today as the next season already.
Perfect!
This means we should be able to successfully plant crops… But we need to find a way to sustain ourselves in the meantime.
Wait... In fact, what is a villager supposed to do?
... I will just follow what I would do in a game. It should be fine right?
Survival priorities: Food, shelter and what? Water?
I need information.
Firstly, I took the map.
[DING]
[The village tab has updated]
?
[...
Map (+)]
Map option? I guess there should be no problem clicking on it…
‘I waited for Richard to look to the side and clicked the map option.’
‘In front of me, a sky high vision of the Village appeared’
It looks like one of those management games.
From this angle I can perfectly see the village, I could even see which houses were occupied.
Around 700 normal houses and several more buildings. Although from this angle, I could see the ruined and sorry state the village is in
Most of the villagers were currently living in the south section of the village.
The North of the village was completely covered with bushes and plants… According to the old man’s history, that section of the village was cut off over 3 decades ago when there was a certain outbreak of an unnamed disease.
Hum? What is this?
‘I clicked one of the house icons and another window appeared’
[Old abandoned house
Unexplored]
Unexplored? What does that mean?
And this…
[Warehouse, Tier-0 (Old) (Decaying)
Unexplored]
If I got a sudden update from gaining a map… How about the warehouse?
I can think about other things later.
-Guide me to the warehouse please.
-Sure. I have been wanting to do that since we already gathered all of the remaining food.
…
‘The warehouse looked as if it was about to fall down’
Tsk! Is this even safe?
-Is this it?
-Yes…
-... We need to find a better place to store our food, this sort of environment won't be able to preserve the food at all.
-Haha… You already said that but after we searched the entire village, this was the best place already.

Fuuuuck…
If this is the best place then we are in deep shit.
'I got inside together with Richard.'
-It isnt that big…
[DING]
[The village tab has updated]
Yes!
[...
Food supply: 1 month
Materials: None]
1 month? What does that mean?
Is it accounting with all of the other villagers in mind?
-Richard, how much food do we have left?
-... Around a month Elder… If we ration things, it might last 2 or even three.
So I was right…
1 month for 30 people…
-What about the crops? Do we have any…
-Winter just ended… We were cleaning the crop fields…
1 month of food and no crops… Wait! Perhaps the crops in this world grow faster!
But by Richard's face, that doesn't seem to be the case.
-And how much money do we have left?... In fact, do any merchants even pass through this place at all?
-The money was just in case one passed, but you had plans of sending a small team to buy supplies at the nearest village.
-And how long would that take?
-One week on foot, and the plan was to acquire a wagon and mule there, making the back trip in around half the time.
… We are more than fucked… We dont even have a wagon and mule…
'I took a look around with Richard but couldn't find anything else other than some broken trash'
[DING!]
[You have cleared the Warehouse, Tier-0 (Old) (Decaying) (Broken)]
[You have gained, 10 days of supplies, 10 wood, 1 stone, 1 farming kit(Normal), 1 seed bag]
I WHAT?!
I quickly went to the map feature and checked the warehouse
[Warehouse, Tier-0 (Old) (Decaying) (Broken)
Explored]
… This is the way…
-We still have a chance… If I am not wrong…
-Elder?
-Richard, call all of the villagers to the… Do we have a meeting place?
-There is the Elder’s house, it's the last oficial building we have left.
Have them meet me there!
-Wait! Elder!... And there he goes… Did he find a way to save us?... With his mind, there is hope…
…
[Elder’s house, Tier-0 (3), (Pristine)
Unexplored]
-Harf… Harf…
I just ran a few dozen meters and I am already this tired… Fucking hell! This weak ass body!
‘The Elder’s house was the cleanest building in this village, it was a three floors high building with an attic and basement.’
‘The first floor consisted of a meeting place and waiting room for the people who wanted to talk with the Elder, The second room was the Elder’s Office and the third floor was the Elder’s house.’
-This place… It's pretty well maintained, no wonders it is pristine…
[Pristine
Effects
Visitors will feel more comfortable while inside
Visitors will be more susceptible to your words due to the nice environment
]
These are some nice effects, thankfully I had Richard gather the villagers here.

But now… How do I explore this place? Should I just walk around the place?
‘Not finding a single clue, I made my way around the place’
‘Apart from some wooden furniture, everything else had been moved out.’
‘Even on the second floor, only an old table and some shelves were left.’
-At least there is a bed and a desk on the third floor…
‘The attic and basement were completely empty as well’
This was of course, me just giving the place a quick eye.
[DING]
[You have cleared the Elder’s house, Tier-0 (3), (Pristine)]
[You have gained, 10 Silver Pieces, Village blueprints (Fragment), Elder’s clothes, Elder’s cane, Key to the basement]
Oh yeah, things are finally getting together…
I wonder, is the loot fixed, or is it random?
It could be a mix of two…
-How do I take out these items from my inventory though?
One thing that I noticed was that the food in the inventory was not present in the warehouse per se.
Meaning that they were two separate entities, something that is quite strange since I got the food supply when I entered the Warehouse.
So in order to use those supplies I had to take it out first…
-And people arent dumb, they are going to notice if 10 days worth of food suddenly appear…
‘After messing around with the Village tab, I finally found a small box symbol on the left bottom corner.
It was none other than the inventory.’
-But I can't seem to be able to store items inside, only take it out. You win some you lose some.
I took out everything I had just gotten with the exception of the money.
[Elder’s clothes
Effects
Increases your charisma towards your lowly peasants]
[Elder’s cane
Effects
Increases your authority towards your lowly peasants]
…
That isn't really comforting… Although the clothes seem quite new and they fit me perfectly…
-By what Richard described the previous Elder to be, he always used flamboyant clothes, yet these don't seem to match his description.
Since I got them from the system, they probably weren't property of that guy.
I will put them on for now. I need any little bit of help that I can get.
…
Looking at myself in a broken mirror on the third floor, I looked much better than before.
-But I still need to work out a little… At this rate, I might die again if even an egg hits my head too hard.
These clothes are quite comfortable to wear, not as good as my robe but good enough as casual clothes, I only have one set apart from my robes… I need to check my backpack later. If I remember correctly, the Scholar starts with a set of traveling clothes, supplies, and a few books.
I need to see what those books have to tell me.
After that I went towards the bed and picked the blue tattered paper.
[Use Village blueprints (Fragment)?]
-Yes.
[DING]
[The village tab has updated]
Again?
Open Village tab.

]
Aha! I see it now. Those blueprints are for me to build things!
But how?
Do I just click one of these and a house is going to pop out of the ground?
[Small hut Tier-0
10 wood
Construction time: 2 hours
No requirements for its construction
]
The map option opened and an outline of a small hut appeared in the middle of the road
I have the material… Should I order its construction?
-No… Not now. All materials are precious. Lets see the wooden house
And what is this shit about construction time? Will a building just sprung up from the ground after 2 hours?
[Normal house
25 wood, 3 rock
Construction time 10 hours
Tier-0 Woodmason is required for this task
]
10 hours to build a house?! Is this good or bad?... Not like it's impossible, but that was on Earth.
It was a two floor high house without an attic and basement.
-Okay, so better buildings have better conditions… Lets see one of the more impressive buildings I have currently available…
[Solid Wooden house, Tier-2
50 wood, 25 rock, 2 iron
Construction time 30 hours
Tier-2 Woodmason and Tier-2 Stonemason is required for this task
]
It even uses iron…
And the requirement increased greatly.
This house looked way better, it had a fireplace a basement and an attic. The house foundation seemed really solid being made out of stone, and a part of its walls as also made of stone.
Do I even have a Tier-1 Woodmason and Stonemason?... I do have a Woodmason but not even a Tier-0 Stonemason.
-I am getting the hang of it… If all of those houses give us something… Then most of our immediate problems will be solved.
-And whatever I get from the houses is actually extra rewards, since I can always demolish the house to get its material right? I wonder if that would count. I need to test that out in a smaller older building.
/DING DING/
I heard the sound of a Bell, it came from below.
-They were quite fast, but I guess it’s normal when you are in a small village like this one.
I am not that great with crowds, but I will try my best. I am already used to standing in Court room.
No time to waste.

Having a Common Game Ability In Normal Life
As long as i can remember, i can see something other people can't see Yes, on the top right of my vision, i have something that looks like a map, does it useful? how does something that blocks 1/32 of my vision to be useful? Does it have to be useful.. right? As i get older, this looks like "mini-map" in a video game that i played, so i decided to call this Mini-map at least I'm not the only one with this kind of thing.. from what I've found, everyone has different ability, for example my little sister can see another person status, there's a person that can heal wounds by eating meat, there's a person that once a day can spin roulette to get reward, there's a person that can jump twice in the air and there's a person that can throw fireballs..... wait a minute!? the story will be slow, since i just write this to train my english anyhow the idea of this story will be if someone can throw a fireball does their hand burns? if someone can jump for 30m can they survive the fall? if a bard play a song that can regen their allies, why’s the enemy isn’t regenerating? if a cleris creates a barrier can their allies attack from inside barrier? and About the first few chapter i know the grammar was really bad but it’ll help me if you guys read the first few chapter and go straight to the last and tell me have i improve or not P.S i hope The world has “common language” feature so everyone speak in the same tongue lol
