“Mammon, you’re dead!”

Right after I killed Nevi, by the power of the Perfect Role Play, I had all of her memories. Not only her memories, all of her feelings too.

Now, Nevi, the pampered little girl lie down lifeless. I can only hug her lifeless body.

“Mada, actually,”

I hear Xiel’s voice afar. It seems she regained her consciousness.

“It’s okay. I know it. She’s been controlled all these years.” I stop her midway. “And I can guess you claimed as my pupil to get me here and stop her right?”

“Ye, yeah. But I didn’t know Nevi and you were close. I, I’m sor,”

“Stop it!” I stop her words again. “You don’t need to sorry. I should thank you instead for taking me to her. Without you, she’d still under Mammon control. She also wanted to tell her gratitude to you. Thank you for being there by her side when I can’t.”

Nevi never talked about me when she traveled with Xiel, so it is normal if she doesn’t know about our relationship. I understand how she might feel guilty about it. But without her claim as my pupil, the king won’t make Nevi look for mercenary to take her. So, I should feel gratitude toward her.

“Xiel, what kind of iron are you using to create those bow?”

“Just a normal iron would do. Why do you ask?”

I spread my right hand and make the space in front of it distorted. From the distortion came out a lot of weapons. Swords, lance, mace, anything.

“Can you use these weapons to make the bow?”

“Ye, yes, sure.” Xiel answer me hesitantly.

“Then use all of it to create the bow. I got a favor to ask you.”

Xiel is not saying a word.

“Destroy this whole dungeon. Then, wait for me in the north gate.”

“O, okay. I’ll just do that.”

I can feel her hesitation toward my favor. It is normal for her to hesitate. After all, if this place is destroyed, this city will be in ruin. Everybody will turn hostile and only people that just came not affected. But of course, it will endanger us as well.

I take nevi with me and stand. I carry her with both of my hand.

“Let’s go Nevi, let’s leave this rotten place.” I whisper into Nevi’s ear.

“What’s wrong with all those people? They suddenly turn hostile and attack each other?” I shout as I look into by the window.

It’s nearly dusk right now but I guess this place won’t be seeing a dark and silent night. I don’t know. The people suddenly changed. Even few people already tried to enter this room but Eri and Kurua defeated them at ease.

“Kurua, can you feel it?” Eri asks Kurua.

“Yeah, burst of negative energy suddenly appeared out of nowhere and it’s increasing as the time ticking.”

What? Something big happened?

And where’s Mada? He’s gone right we need him the most.

“Kurua? Anybody still there?”

That sound caught us off guard. But in the same time we feel relieved to hear it. Kurua walks toward the door and opens it. As the door opened, a figure of a person is standing. It’s Mada. But what gave us a shock is not him, but what he’s holding onto. He’s holding Nevi.

But, something is not right. I can see a red stain on both of them. But the worst one came from Nevi. As I look closer into her face, I feel something strange. She’s smiling but yet she’s not moving at all. Even I’m not seeing her chest moving.

“Ma, Mada, what’s wrong with her?” I step forward to him.

“I’ll tell the whole story later. Right now we need to get to the north gate.” Mada answers me. “Kurua, please take care of Erfia.”

“I don’t know what happened but I guess it can wait.”

Kurua walks toward Erfia and carry her.

Mada runs toward the windows and jumped out. I look into the window as he lands perfectly. Kurua and Eri follow him. I guess jump out of the windows is the only way. I also jump and land right after them.

From afar, I can see a mass of people coming at us.

“The distance to the north gate is about 20 kilometers. We can’t use any vehicle as it can’t move pass the crowd.” Mada tells us as nothing happened. “So the only way to get there is by running. And while we’re at it. We have to kill anybody comes into our way.”

Mada runs and slides by the ground. It seems he’s using the usual magic. Now that I take a better look, he’s not wearing his normal shoes. He’s wearing an oversized leg armor. I guess it’s another one of his weapons.

I activate earth slide to catch up with him while Kurua and Eri jump. When Mada come close to the crowd, he kicks the ground. His kick destroys the rock pavement and they fly towards the crowd. The rocks kill the people in its way. It’s unusual for him to kill people while we run. Normally he will just leave them be and only kills them when they corner him. It’s like he’s pissed.

“Kurua, I guess it’s time for you to show your power.” Mada shouts toward Kurua. “It will take a long time for me to take them without using my hand.”

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” Kurua responds to his request without any complains.

“Watch closely, Reis. You will see the power of Kurua the Goliath. The strongest one word hero of beast man.” Eri speaks to me with a proud voice.

I can see where her proudness come from. He’s her pupil after all. It’s normal for her to feel that way.

I take a better look at Kurua. His blue eyes is glowing. And suddenly, there’s this blue thing come out of his back. It’s a blue aura. It’s making a form of a giant beast without leg as its lower body is sticking from Kurua’s body. With a single swing, every person in the way sends out flying with their body torn apart.

“Great, isn’t it?” Eri speaks to me. “But that’s not even a quarter of his full power.”

Wow, that’s, that’s. I don’t know what to say. Basically, with that kind of power it will be easy for him to take out 100.000 people in single day.

With Kurua and Mada lead the way, we manage to reach the north gate in less than half an hour. When we reach the north gate, the guards already killed and single person is standing on the gate. We stopped as we figure it’s Xiel. But Mada’s not stopping and pass by the gate.

“What are you waiting for?” Mada shouts at us.

Kurua, Eri, and I look each other. None of us get a clue of what’s happening. But in the end we follow him and reach the gate. All of us finally got out of the gate.

“Xiel, please hold her for a moment.” I pass Nevi which in my hand into Xiel.

Xiel take Nevi’s body and then take a step back. I look into everybody that confused with the situation.

“You can trust her. She’s my pupil and Nevi’s friend.” I say to them.

I walk toward the gate and touch it with my right hand. This city is done for. With the dungeon and the crystals destroyed, the people are being consumed by its overwhelming negative emotion. But, this city that makes Nevi suffer for years deserves it. I observed the guards on the gate and they appear to be immune to the effect of the negative emotion. I can guess Mammon gave something to them so they won’t be affected in case a leak happened.

“Guys, look closely as you will see the true power of God Item.” I shout to them.

Nobody responded to my words.

I concentrate and imagine a whole new place aside from my personal space that I used to store everything. A land of barren desert looks good enough. I concentrate and open the space distortion. But, the distortion I create is nothing of the sort. It’s way bigger than before. The last time I create a space distortion this big is when I put my castle inside of it. Finally the distortion is big enough to cover the whole city. The distortion finally disappeared along with the city and the people. The only one left in front of me right now is just an empty crater. A huge empty crater with a diameter about 50 km.

“Mada, did you just,” Reis can’t finish her words. She’s shocked to the scene right in front of her.

I look into Kurua and the others. They let their jaw wide open. Not believing what’s in front of them.

“That’s some terrifying power you got.” Kurua says.

“I’m glad you didn’t use it one me when we fought.” Eri whispers.

I take a distance of them and draw a very big symbol on the ground.

~I marvel the tainted water. The formless and the formed. Such strength to create a formless. Such strength to create a form. The tainted form.

By using tainted form, I can change the tattoo ink on my body which is hidden. I’m moving it from my tights to my right hand and create another symbol with it. I put my hand in the symbol on the ground and the ground is shining. After the ground stops shining, the ground already changed into a round stone with iron line. The iron line creates a new symbol. I look into my mana ring and see the color is starting to change. I say it’s about three fourth mana left.

~O the vast sky. The one illuminates by the bright of the day. The one illuminates by the dim of the night. Let this beggar ask a favor of you. Let this beggar illuminate the sky with your might. The pillar of light.~

A light emerges from the sky and coming down right into the round stone with Nevi in it. As the light touch the round rock and the symbol created from light, another light emerges from the iron line create another pillar of light. The symbol made by the line is a symbol of light. It’s an alchemy that normally used to create a blinding light by using the sunlight as the main ingredients. But as now is night, I need to summon the light out of the sky to do it.

This is a trick Nil, Euca, and I created long time ago to notify Ariana. But we never really try to use it as theoretically this light is so bright in even at day and it emerges to the sky. So high and so bright it could be seen by people on the same side of this planet. This place is about 7000 km away from Avareel so this place is about 8 hours ahead. It’s still morning in Avareel but I hope she can see it.

“It’s okay, you can stop the light.” A voice rises behind me.

One voice that I hope the most to come finally appears.

I dispel the pillar of light and the light disappears. The dark night has come back.

I look into my mana ring and it nearly changed into red and blue stripes color. It’s nearly empty. This is a very special magic so I never use it in normal circumstance.

“A, Ariana, Ne, Nevi,”

I turn back and try to talk to her. Nevertheless, as I try to speak, words won’t come out properly from my mouth. I just can’t.

“It’s okay. It’s okay. Calm yourselves.”

Ariana hug and embrace me in her body. Suddenly I let out a tears and cry. Being embraced by her makes me realize I still can’t accept the outcome. Even if my soul is a very old soul, but this body of mine is still on its late 20. Even if my soul take it as acceptable, this body won’t admit it. This body of mine doesn’t want to take Nevi’s death as the outcome. I don’t want to accept it.
