《In New Dimensions Everyday》Zombie's POV 7

Finding nowhere to go, Roderick went inside the medical facility to get lost in the mix. The man followed him to there as well. "Everyone calm down!" the man yelled to get everyone's attention. Roderick was petrified. "There will be a new lot of patients in few hours." Army man said, "Minor injured patients are suggested to stay in regular tents and make room for critical patients." Oof! He did not come for me. Roderick sighed. He sat on a chair when the officer left. There he gathered his breath, still not feeling his heartbeat. Roderick wanted it to beat, but his desire did not help to him. He also thought that the captives could have been kept in the mortuary. The idea struck his head like lightening and he rushed towards mortuary ward. From outside, he could feel the air conditioner on in freezing temperature. Roderick pushed the door open. Adam was sitting on a bed, trying to untie the limbs and hands of corpses. "How did you get in here?" Roderick asked and locked the door. Adam flinched then took a breath of peace, "Thanks God, it's you." "You are here. How?" "Raphael's team caught me. They called it rescue." Adam said. "When?" "Just after they got you." "How didn’t they notice you are a zombie?" Roderick began increasing room temperature. "I died of cholera. Nobody blew my head off. I look fine, don’t I?" Adam opened his arms. "We won't be fine for long. I am getting pale, my muscles are tightening, and I am losing body temperature. This will happen to you as well. We will start to rot and they will find –" "Don’t panic." Adam said. A tooth fell out from his mouth, "Ahmm…it was loose anyway." He smirked. "Someone hit you on your head to kill you, didn’t he?" "Leave it. Have you found where our friends are?" Adam questioned. "I don’t even know where they are kept." They heard knocking on the door. Somebody was trying to get in there. Shit! Staff. "Adam, lie on a bed." Roderick said and forced him to do so. He opened the door only after covering him by the blanket. The thing he saw after opening the door was a bulk of a man. Roderick's head came on the level of the man's chest. LIEUTENANT, he read from the badge affixed there. Lieutenant caught him by his neck and threw him on the floor. "I heard you." Lieutenant bellowed, "Who were you talking to, you filthy zombie?" "I was talking to myself." Roderick tried to get up but heard his bone crack. "Who were you talking to?" Lieutenant was louder than ever. Lieutenant was about to break his skull by a punch when a blanket covered his head out of nowhere. "He was talking to me, you son of a bitch." Adam wrapped the blanket around his face. Adam caught a knife and jammed it on his neck. The big man fell as if it was a tree. Roderick moved aside and Lieutenant landed where he was. "Did you kill him?" Roderick asked Adam. Adam was terrified. "Help me drag this body to another room." Adam said. Both of those zombies caught Lieutenant by his feet to drag him. But their strength was not enough. "Let it be here." Roderick said, "You, come with me." "No, I won't. I am freezing now. Sensors will find out I am a zombie in a second." Adam replied. "Alright. Hide in another room." Roderick said. Adam obeyed.

Luck Lockyer
Luck Lockyer was the type of man to smirk in the dark, the expression not for anyone but himself. One of perpetual amusement. The bright side of things were hard to find in the shade yet his amber eyes were always searching. The smirk was his default, he knew it, his friends knew it, his family knew it. It was his most natural state. But the death of everyone close to you can affect a downwards curve on the mouths of even the most stoic people. Without purpose, without anyone to do the job for, Luck Lockyer found himself inside an empty forgotten church. The perpetual smirk on his face had slipped to a thin line, his scar more noticeable now than ever before. His amber eyes, the windows to his soul, dull and lifeless. To anyone who knew him, it was the clothing that gave away his mental state, denim pants and a plain black t-shirt. If that wasn't enough, the tears running down his face certainly would, the echoing sobs of a broken man rang across the rundown church. It was on a whim, but Luck Lockyer prayed, he prayed for many things, for death, revenge, friends, but the one prayer dominating his thoughts, a second chance for his family. That was all he wanted. Simple. It was then, on the outskirts of a polluted city, in an abondoned lot, in a forgotten church that Luck Lockyer, the Devil of the Cards, the Bloodless Hand, the Amber Demon, the Broken, was answered by a being from another world and one from his. *found the picture online
