Roderick couldn’t forget the sound of their chewing. It was enough to gross him out every time he thought of having anything to eat. His stomach made a sound in hunger, but remembering how they were eating was enough to not demand any appetite. He had thought he was very close to the hill when he had left those hungry men, but it turned out he was wrong. It was like swimming in an ocean, hoping to reach the horizon. I had crossed those two hills easily. Why can't I get on this third hill no matter how much I walk? Roderick had not started to worry about his progress. He now decided to run. Roderick sat on wet ground for a while to gather every bit of energy within him, then stood up and ran from there. His speed was incredible. He was trying to avoid trees on his way, but it was not possible. Sometimes, he collided with trees but the trees were the ones to take the damage. From the forest, he could not keep an eye on the hill where he was trying to be on. Exhausted, Roderick didn’t slow down for anything. He did not want his time to go in vain, but a small rock touched his toe. Roderick glided in air and fell on ground by his shoulder. He could see the hill through the gap of trees. It still was where it was. Roderick had made no progress at all. Why is this hill running away from me? Roderick wondered, taking out his broken toe nail. "Why aren’t you letting me to get on you?" Roderick yelled in the loudest voice possible. His uproar made trees shake and made birds leave their nest for the sky. Hearing to his scream, the third hill came closer towards him. "Good hill." Roderick whispered, taking some steps. The hill slid further after he walked. "Stop annoying me! I am here for a purpose." Roderick bellowed. The hill didn’t give him any response. There must be some way to get on there. Roderick thought. He began searching for dry twigs nearby him. He did not have a hard time for the discovery of such random things. Roderick began rubbing the pieces of twigs together. As an archaeologist, he knew how to create fire. But it was a very different thing this time. He did not have to entertain monkey in the real world while trying to light fire. I will burn all trees of this goddamn hill. Roderick grinned and repeated the same thing in his mind several times. It was the only motivation he could give to himself.
