"It was a mistake, alright. I am not a cowboy." Roderick spread his arms. Roderick began climbing on the tall tower. He was making sure he would get noticed. For few occasions, he thought people knew what he was planning. Somehow he made it to the top and stood on the balcony, looking at the big clock behind him. "Now tell me what to do." He yelled down at the Juan. "Do whatever you want. Forward it or rewind it, but you can't do it by hours now." "Of course I will rewind this thing." "Will you take me out of the sack in past?" prisoner asked when Roderick was about to dial the minute hand. "Of course I will." Roderick said and touched the arm to move it. He found it very hard to dial. The hand was resisting him as if it didn’t want to be tuned. Roderick winded it regardless. "You're turning it wro-" he heard the captive scream. By this time he had turned it more than two rounds. "Holy shit!" he gasped as he realized the clock's original motion was anti clockwise. Instead of rewinding, he was forwarding the time. And now, he had done it by hours. Roderick left, tuning it immediately. What have I done? How stupid can I be? He cursed himself for the mistake. To find out how much time had passed, he glanced at his wristwatch. The tiny hour hand on his wrist had passed eleven twenty. He was shocked to see that Juan was still there. To his dismay, he was on the sand with a bleeding stomach. As he moved in pain, Roderick realized he was still alive. Sheriff stood beside him with his gun pointed at the man whom he had captured. Smoke was rising up from his pistol nozzle. "I knew you were coming here. But didn’t know I would reach here this fast." Sheriff spoke to Roderick, "Now Gonzalez will find out about this tampering and run somewhere else. You fucked up, my boy."
