Ok, I can’t stand this anymore
What the f, myself ?
This is ridiculous and horrendously bad dialogue, from where could you even get such bad inspiration ?
Sigh… I will be magnanimous and allow this to pass.
///////////////
So, you see. I didn’t write. For a few days. That’s bad, right ? I think it is.
Now I’ve lost track, and motivation, of what I began to write.
Like, yeaaah, sure, I had a few inspirations.
Homestuck (and it’s very good epilogue), The Stanley Parable, The Beginner’s Guide (both are from the same developper, Davey Wreden), and just.
You know, all those weird fictions where the narrator, characters and such are filthy and obvious Fourth Wall Breakers.
Well, most fictions I’ve read on Royalroad, so, mmmh… I’m happy the tendency has subsided since then.
Readers, I’m calling you all out on that. You know it’s been done. It hasn’t been done very well, most of the time at least, but it has been done.
And, to be honest, I do see the appeal of fourth wall breaking, it’s quite an exciting and amusing thing to do.

Something which helps me to write is to imagine I have an audience, a public. It helps me to focus my self on actually writing something.

At least, I think so.
If there is no one which can see what I write, what use is there in writing ?
Perhaps letting out my thoughts and feelings, organizing them into a coherent form.
What would a coherent form to my feelings and thoughts even be useful for, then ?
I guess it’d just make them less fleeting.
Alright, another question.
Completely unrelated.
What’s writing ?
I have no idea.
But I’ll try to throw some ideas out…
- Writing is the use of language to express ideas, thoughts, feelings, stories (and other things which can be expressed via language) in a physical/virtual form.
- Writing is an action. As such, writing inherently requires something or someone to do the action of writing. It is obvious that it is so, but it is an important part of writing. The writer.
- I dunno, you tell me.
Yes, those are only characteristics of writing, but that is just how one defines something, one lists the characteristics of the object one defines.
Perhaps it would be more useful to describe the process of writing to help define it. I don’t know.
