Because I needed my mother’s medicine I believed the taxi driver’s obvious lie. Hospitals closed, Huh.

After we arrived at District X14, the scene in front of me woke me up from my crazed state. Worn out buildings, people sleeping on the cold stone ground with torn out clothes, I realized that I am in the District X14, a place famous for it’s dangerous crimes, a place ruled by crime syndicates.

The Taxi stopped, and driver got out, opened the left door dragged me out by the hair. It was painful, I tried to resist but it was futile, I wasn’t a match for his muscular build. And then he throw me out, and drove away.

Is this all?, I thought, but I was naive.

Soon afterward, two armed men came out of a crumpled building and they approached me.

“Oh! He wasn’t lying, you really are pretty.”

Said the oldest looking man a he drew his switchblade.

“How about we play with her, of course you are first, brother.”

Said the other man while smirking, and licking his lips. Like the other man. he also had a switch blade.

I felt shivers in my back, I was terrified. I tried to run at their opposite direction, but there was a wall.

I screamed as loud as I can.

“NO!!”

somewhere deep inside I felt that help wasn’t coming, but I was mistaken, because soon afterward a young man in his late teens was running toward me.

Let’s just hope that he isn’t their accomplice.

Like his usual weekends, and unlike other high school students, Tomas Hopes woke up quite early in the morning, no, more like dawn. He washed his face, brushed his teeth, wore his waiter uniform, and headed out to his workplace.

Walking casually in the back alleys of the infamous district X14, He was.

“NO!!”

When he heard a girl’s scream coming from a building nearby. Thinking ‘What a pain!’ he walked out of the dimly lit back alley toward the source of that desperate voice.

Running in that dark passage between two buildings, he headed toward the girl ahead of him. Before exiting the passage he saw a young beautiful girl in her late teens, maybe the same age as him, her hair was blonde and her eyes were deep blue. And next to her were two men armed with switchblades threatening her, they were wearing the same black leather jacket with the red letters ‘TK’ sown in the back.

Tomas ran even faster, so much so that they didn’t realized him approaching behind them, and then meters away he jumped, no, it was a flying kick aimed at the back of the man in the left.

A loud voice resound from the wall that the blonde girl was leaning on, it was the sound of a man landing on the wall head first.

“Yo! Mister low-life TK member, The f*ck are you doing?”

Asked Tomas who was standing in the place where was the other TK member standing seconds ago, his lips were smiling, but his eyes weren’t, they were directing a powerful killing intent toward the TK member. It was too much for him, he froze in his place, but managed to squeeze out a few words.

“And who the hell Are you?!”

Maybe the TK gang member was trying too sound intimidating, but he failed because of his shaking voice.

“Who the hell am I?”

Said Tomas in a puzzled voice, and then he laughed while barely saying these words.

“Hahahaha who am I? Hahaha You don’t even know me, why are you in that gang for?”

Then he suddenly stopped laughing, and then he put on a fearless grin on his face, and showed his right hand’s middle finger, no, not the finger but the silver Panther head with red eyes ring on it, and said in cold tone.

“I am Panther.”

And then he hit the gang member with a ridiculously fast high kick, and then he was splendidly knocked out
