You found the trial of power. Trials can be found everywhere in the world, each of them are different, but the same in one point, the further you go, the better the rewards is. When you activate, you will be teleported in another dimension and waves of monster will appear. If you can clear the wave in a certain amount of time, you will have the possibility to go one wave higher and this endlessly. Experiences and loots will be stored and given at the end. If you don't clear in the time limit, reward will be locked at the wave you stop. If you die during the trial, the rewards will be lost, you will also have a penalty of decreasing 2 levels and get a temporary -50% on every stat.

Anyway, before doing this strange trial, I will check the skill books and the boxes. I opened first the boxes, 4 of them were empty.. From the 3 others I got.

This backpack was grey, not really big, poor quality and look like a kid school backpack. Since they had nothing to store and nothing to carry stuff this little bad boy will make everyone happy.

Well anyway, now it was the turn of the 3 skill books, i'm praying so hard to not get some useless skill..

Without any hesitation I open the " Holy aura " book and learn the skill. I needed more information about this spell.

Lv1 Holy aura : mana reservation = 15

Surround yourself with the light of heaven. Improve the damage dealt against undead monster by 10 %. The base range is 5 meters and can affect at most 2 allies including you.(max 10)

The damage % depends on the lvl of skill and intelligence. Size depends on skill lvl and control. Number of allies affected is based on skill lvl.

" This skill will be useful for me but also for my friends, killing their first zombie with my weapon and this skill will be easier than when I kill my first one. "

Now that everything is set up, it's time for this weird trial of power. I put my hand on the blue lighted crystal.

Warning you are about to be teleported in another dimension, the time ratio is 100 minutes in the dimension equal 1 minute in your trash world.

Suddenly my sight became dark, after 10 seconds I find myself in a weird place, it was a big white and dark open place, the sky was black, no light except the one emitted by two near collapsed moons. In the middle, the same blue lighted crystal was there.

10 seconds before the first wave start. Remenber if you die you will have penalty without any rewards or exp, if you failed to complete the wave under 5 minutes you will be teleported back to your place and the rewards will be the same as the wave you stop. Good luck.

I quickly open my backpack and eat one apple of speed, one constitution and equip me with the axe. I was now ready to kill and get the best rewards possible.

The first wave of monsters appear, it was five lvl1 Zombies.

" Come at me weaklings ! "

I was so exited because I didn't have to walk in order to find something to hunt, they just came at me. I didn't activate any skill to keep my mana full, nobody knows what monster will appear at high wave. The first wave was really easy as I clear it in less than 2 minutes. What happen next was really weird, as soon as I killed the last Zombie, they all disappear, all the bloods and organs on the floor were cleaned up in less than 2 seconds. I couldn't even react about it since the next wave appear..

Now it was five lvl1 and one lvl2, It was still easy since my high level and with the apple. My axe started to crack.. I check the durability, it was down to 6.

" Oh.. This is really bad, without any weapon I will have to use my mana.. "

My fortify was now draining 6 mana per seconds, I can hold it a little bit more than 11 seconds.

The next wave started and was almost the same as the last one, but with one lvl2 more. I easily took out the low level Zombies, but when I started attacking the strong one, my axe shattered..

" I'm pretty sure that my luck is negativ.. "

Time to use my broken skill. To lower the mana cost, the only moment I will use it, it's when i'm sure I will hit right in the head and make it last only one second. The wave was clear faster than the two other because I use mana and could instantly kill them.

The fourth wave was different, this time no lvl1, but instead four lvl2. For me it's easier than the last one because there were less monster and since I can one shot them, it's pretty easy. All of them had a hole in their head due to my absurd skill. My clothes at the start of the apocalypse where completely white, before entering the Trial, they were half red half yellow due to my sweating. Guess which colors it was now, red, full of red everywhere. My mana drop to a little over the half. I might be able to clear the wave 5, but not higher. Well it's fine since i'm only lvl 6 and specializes in intelligence, I only rely on one spell and it's really manavore.

Wave five appear. Five lvl2 and one lvl 1. It wasn't one like in the first wave don't misunderstand, this Zombie is clearly way more powerful than the lvl2.

" Dam, wave five is clearly a huge milestone for low level human like me.. I need to be careful about this Zombie, his dexterity is double mine even with a speed apple, and force well.. Seven times higher. " I sigh in despair because I was really weak.

Like always, I crushed the head of all lvl2, fortunately the corpse disappear after each wave, otherwise we could think that we were in a butcher shop with bloods covering the whole floor.

I never imagine that I would regret my confidence.. The zombie in an instant rush to me, his speed was way faster than me, the only thing I could do was to evade his attack. Unfortunately I couldn't evade in time, with his speed and force, I fell to the ground and huge scar appear on my neck. With my leftover mana, I can use fortify for 3 seconds at most, gonna be tough even just hit him once, this remind me the fight yesterday with the lvl2.. This time the unknown light won't save me, I can only rely on my power.

If only the axe didn't break.. The only " weapon " I had was the wand, wooden stick was more appropriate. I didn't even bother to fight with hit since my fist will hit harder.

I stood up with anger in my eyes, I hate being bullied. Some blood drop on the ground which annoy me even more. I rush at him, was ready to activate my skill the moment I hit his face. I did hit him and he receive quite a lot of damage but he was still alive, but at the same time he counter attack, my belly was full of blood.. My health drop to half.

My stamina was also depleting by a lot, I have only 2 hit possible with fortify.. And also only two more hit before dying.

Same thing as before, we both clash and both receive damage..

" This is a deja-vu scene.. The one who attack first will win. "

Before I could rush at him, the same glowing white light with a female voice appear..

I wanted to ask who she was, but she already disappear.. Anyway, she already help me, I will follow her advice.

My blood was boiling in rage, I rush at him, evade right like she said and hit him right in the head, before hiting him I use fortify, I could see for the first time some spark on my fist. The result was unbelievable, the head of the Zombie exploded, a small shockwave was even visible. The floor was painted in red with the blood..

" She can even predict the futur.. Who is she exactly ? " I was shocked but relief that she helped me again.

I also level up, I am now 7. I'm really weak without weapon and without skill, I will invest in force for this time. I also level up " Gigawatt fortify " to lvl 7 since it's my only good skill for now.

" I wonder what the City box is ? Maybe something that create a fortified city, well it will be OP but i'm really hoping it is. "
