《The Angel System: Outer Heaven》Chapter 3: Outer Heaven

“Rejoice my children, for today, a new Angel is birthed.”
Lucius came to in a world shining with light. As he opened his weary eyes he saw a group of beautiful creatures singing and praising his arrival. Men, women and children all the same, were cheering him as he drifted through the air. These beautiful people who bathed in the light of the sun had wings, and as strangely as it sounds were all floating in the air along with him as he drifted through a wave of light.
As he traveled through the air, he saw a land that he had only imagined in his dreams. Clouds carrying cities of gold, Angels flying through the air, and a light with no origin, and no sun, that seemed to emanate from everything he saw.
As he traveled through this land of pure innocence and grace, he finally came to a golden throne, where a man with 6 wings and long dreadlocks awaited his arrival.
“Adam Revala..." Lucius said. "What the hell have I gotten myself into?"
“Welcome to Paradise friend.” Adam said. “You have left your life of misery and suffering, and now you will have come to a new life as one of my herald angels, spreading the love of my new world.”
“An angel?” Lucius said.
As he turned to examine either side of his shoulder he noticed a set of wings emanating from either side of him.
“Is this really Heaven? And if so, where is god?” He asked
“Even I cannot answer that,” Adam said. “ But one thing I do know, is this place is much better than the one we came from.”
“I see, then if this is truly Outer Heaven… is my brother or fiance here?”
“You mean Lucas and Evelynn?” Adam said
“Yes how did you-”
“I can read your memories, the entirety of your past life is in your soul, I am the one who brought your soul here so naturally I can see its entirety.”
“How is that possible?”
“You are an angel, you have the same power, if you approach someone who is lower on the hierarchy than you, you can read them as well.”

“What?”
“Justine” Adam called
A beautiful 4 winged Angel flew over to him. Her caramel skin reflected the sun's rays with such eloquence, that for a moment, Lucius was convinced the woman’s skin was light itself.
“Yes Adam, lord of light” She said bowing.
“Bring me a cherubim.” He instructed.
Within moments, she brought forth a baby, crying with its two little wings covering its face.
“Touch this baby,” Adam instructed.
Lucius reached out his hand touching the baby’s face.
(Back to earth)
“Please please! There must be something you can do!” A woman in a hospital cried.
“There’s nothing we can do, The baby has a rare genetic disorder, it will die painfully over the next few weeks, I am so sorry mam.” A doctor answered
“My Baby!” She said reaching her hands out over the glass capsule that held her baby.
Lucius watched as the woman sneakily marked the baby with Outer Heavens mark as the doctors exited.
“Please god… forgive me for this… Please give this baby a better life!”
She pushed a button that expelled a euthinasia agent to the baby as she chanted the magic words to send it into Outer Heaven.
(back to present)
“That's how this baby got here?” Lucius said shocked.
“Isn’t it crazy?” Adam said “What kind of creator makes a baby that can’t survive? Here the baby will live its life loved and cared for by Angels, while on earth it experienced suffering from birth to death which for this poor baby was only a few days.”
Lucius remembered his final moments jumping off the skyscraper.
"I don't care about that! How do I find my loved ones!" He asked
“You have many questions I see” Adam laughed. “But before you I can answer any of them, you must first be tested.”
"Screw your tests!" Lucius said. "Tell me where Evelynn and Lucas are now!" He yelled
"Do not talk to the King like-"
"Justine" Adam said. "I'ts alright, he has just come from earth he's just a bit disorientated thats all/" Adam said.
“Right now Your brother is in Eden, as for your fiance, she is an angel of mine, she’s been sent to a dominion in the outer realms.”

“Eden, outer realms? What are you talking about?” Lucius yelled
“Outer Heaven is composed of three different realms. The lowest realm is Eden, The second realm is Babylon the ancient city of light, and the third is here the Angelic realm. The first person you seek is in the first realm. The second is in one of the dominoins.”
“Dominoins?” Lucius asked.
“Do you remember seeing tiny floating cities on clouds? Believe it or not in this realm each one of those cities is a completely different Outer Heaven with its own set of rules. There are some as peaceful as here, and others that are worse than hell. Your fiance is quelling the hell ones as we speak.”
“How do I get to her!” Lucius asked
“As you are now you can go nowhere, haven’t you noticed you are missing something as an angel?” Adam asked
Lucius looked around at all of the angels in the surroundings carefully examining them. After a few moments he placed his hand above his head searching for somethin gto be there.
“Thats right you have no Halo!” Adam said “A Halo is what allows you to travel between realms, and if your Halo has a gold color you are even able to go back to earth.”
“Really is that possible! How do I get a Halo!” Lucius asked.
"Are you willing to listen to me now?" Adam said.
"I hate this guy." Lucius thought. "He's treating me like some sort of child, trying yo manipulate me, but I know nothing of this world, and right now I need to do everything I can to reach Evelynn and Lucas... I guess I have no choice but to play along... for now"
"What do I need to do?" Lucius asked
“Very good," Adam said grinning "Behind me there is a light that shines down from God himself. If you stretch your hands out to that light you will receive a book, the book is called a Codex. I want you to receive it from god and then bring it to me.” Adam instructed.
Lucius approached the light skeptically, awkwardly looking around at the dozens of Angels surrounding him.
Stretching his arms out, he reached for the light that was pouring out.
“Lucius, chosen child of prophecy, For your Codex, I offer you the Book of Revelations” A voice said to him.
An old book that shone brightly with a red light descended upon Lucius.
“Impossible!” Some of the Angels around him murmured.
“A book of both light and Darkness! The Codex of the Creator! The book of Revelation!” They cried.
“Lucius!” Adam called “Bring me that book!”
Lucius returned to Adam
Adam stripped the book from Lucius’s hands desperately swiping through the pages. But as he flipped from page to page, he only saw empty parchment, free from any marks or words.
“There are no words! Tell me Lucius what do you see?” Adam pleaded
Lucius picked up the book and inspected it carefully, finding now words in his search either. As he flipped through one last time he noticed a single phrase scribbled across the first page.
“I do see one phrase written here, can you see it?” He asked Adam.
Adam carefully inspected the page, not finding anything there.
“No, I don’t see anything! Tell me Lucius what does it say?”
“It says just one phrase” Lucius said “System on!”
Instantly Lucian was blasted with a cone of red energy that emanated from the book filling the entire world with its brilliance.
User Lucius Lumin Race Angel Level 1 0/100 to next level HP 100/100 Strength 10 Agility 10 Stamina 10
“Wait, is this some sort of video game?” He asked
“Video Game? What are you talking about!” Adam groaned
A red text appeared all around him detailing him of his stats. In the lower left corner there was an icon for a user guide.
“Now how do I…”
As soon as he had envisioned clicking on it a large box of information popped up.
Dear Chosen Angel of Heaven, you have been granted the Book of Revelations and access to the unreadable Codex system, Evangelion
