《Systematic Supremacy》25. Magical hormones

“I am not that good at social interactions, and I blurted it out without thinking.”
“I said it was fine, so you don’t have to worry about it.”
He really didn’t know why he continued talking, but the thought of backing away made him feel the same type of rejection as when he considered not attacking the puma because of the difference in strength.
“What kind of chores will I have to do tomorrow?”
It appeared that she liked the change of topic, as her answer sounded more composed than the two before.
“I’m not certain what my grandfather had in mind, but he will most likely send you to the kitchen.”
Although Theo knew how to cook, that was only with Earth’s standards, he didn’t know what other types of meat or fruit they had here. Imagine someone from another realm coming to Earth and not even knowing what a salad is.
“But wasn’t dinner just fine?” He asked, not knowing how changing a chef for someone who you don’t even know can cook was a good idea.
“While my grandfather can cook, he really doesn’t like doing it, if it wasn’t for me currently staying with him, he would’ve probably just thrown some unseasoned meat on a fire and not bother with anything else.” A light smile appeared on her lips as she said that.
“So, you don’t normally live here?”
“No, I live with my parents in Gedora kingdom, but since I got my class, I do spend most of my time here training with my grandfather.”
Theo was about to ask her what her class was, but he remembered that doing so is considered impolite, thankfully he got that piece of common knowledge from his vessel, or the situation would’ve gotten even more awkward. Just another reason to dive into the pool of memories once he got the time.

It would appear that the effect of the sweet scent stacked, as his body temperature slowly rose, and his eyes became more unruly, he even started to notice an increase in blood flow in his lower region, which Theo didn’t like one bit, so he decided to do what he always did when he didn’t know what was going on.
‘El! Something’s wrong with me again!’
‘What is it this time?’ They just went through a whole ordeal to fix the last issue; she didn’t want to deal with a flesh-hungry Theo again.
“So, where are you from?” It appeared that Vanessa warmed up to the conversation and decided to take an active part in it, but at a quite unfortunate timing for Theo. Thankfully she still led the way with her back turned towards him.
“Oh, I’m from the Raidia kingdom.” But she asked no further questions after Theo answered her. This allowed him to explain his problem to Eileen.
‘The scent coming from Vanessa is slowly driving me crazy, my body is heating up and I think…’ The second part was hard to say. ‘…I’m getting turned on. Don’t laugh, this is serious, ok?’ At this point, Theo’s face started to flush a little, whether it was because of a physical reaction to the scent or embarrassment from the situation was unknown.
‘Oh, it's just that, you almost scared me.’ Eileen sighed with a breath of relief.
‘This isn’t a joke, what’s going on?’ Said Theo, urgency clear from his voice.
‘I can’t tell you the exact reason for this, but now that you mentioned it, it's only natural. I mean, pretty much half of the constitutions and a third of the skills could’ve caused it, and it's probably a mixture of multiple of them. If anything, it’s impressive you haven’t jumped on her yet.’ Eileen giggled in self-amusement, clearly not as bothered about this situation as she was with the awakening of the physique.

‘What do I do to stop it?’
‘You just have to go through with it, and it will calm down… probably.’ It was strange how she was so open about the solution, while she could barely say that the system’s processing unit was lewd. Perhaps different races have different standards, but Theo had something more urgent on his mind at the moment.
‘When you say go through with it, you don’t mean…’ He looked at Vanessa when he said that and subconsciously gulped.
‘Yup!’
‘I can’t do that!’ He yelled at Eileen in outrage.
‘Why not?’
‘What do you mean why not?! We just met today, and even if that wasn’t the case, there is no way she would ever want to do something like that with me!’
‘I would like to differ, she has composure, I will give her that, but any normal female human around her age would be throwing herself at you by this point. I guess I didn’t have time to explain the effects of your constitutions, not to mention the skills you got after that.’
Theo was about to snap and yell back at Eileen for being ridiculous, but he suddenly got a flash of inspiration as an ingenious idea popped into his mind.
He used his newly leveled-up skill to control his blood flow and decrease the circulation in his nether regions, he did the same with his face to stop the reddening that appeared on his cheeks and ears.
Although his eyes still disobeyed him and a voice in his head wanted him to jump on Vanessa, it wasn’t hard to resist the urges, he could never do that to her, or any other woman for that matter. As the reason for a potentially very awkward situation resolved itself, Theo finally calmed down.
Once he took his eyes away from Vanessa's behind, he noticed that they were almost at the cottage already. He didn’t have the time to inspect it when he left the house because of the incident, but it would appear that it was a two-story house. Once they entered through the door, Vanessa turned around and spoke again.
“I’ve already prepared a blanket and pillow for you; they are on the sofa over there.” She pointed at one of the two sofas on the left side of the door.
“You can go rest right away if you’re tired, I will excuse myself.” Vanessa showed him a light smile and turned away, intending to go up the stairs to the second floor, where her room presumably was.
“Vanessa.”
“Yes?” She turned around, apparently a bit startled.
“Thank you again.” Theo showed her a bright and genuine smile, which made her heart skip a beat, and caused a very faint blush to appear on her cheeks.
“You’re welcome.” She answered in a slightly higher pitch than normal and walked towards the steps at a faster pace than before.
