《Systematic Supremacy》19. Strange skills, strange cards, strange items

'What's your plan?’ Theo asked Eileen as he wasn’t in the right state of mind, so he decided to rely on her.
‘You received four new subsystems and even special features for each one of them, but they are more adapted to facilitate further growth rather than an instant strength boost, so I would suggest opening the crates to improve your chances.’ Theo felt stupid for not thinking of something so simple, but he didn’t waste time and immediately opened the first page of the panel.

He didn’t waste time checking the new sub-systems and immediately sent his mind to his inventory dimension.
This time, something felt different however, he felt like he had a lot more control in this space than he previously did, but he decided to leave it for later and focused on the 19 new crates floating in endless space.
15 of them were similar to the ability card crate he opened in his own realm previously, shining with bright white light, surrounded by orbiting light particles, and consisting of numerous moving parts that boggled one’s mind. The only aspect that differentiated the 3 different groups was the pattern in which the parts moved in. Besides the 15 bright white crates, there were also 4 less conspicuous ones, they appeared to be transparent, but once one gazed at them, they would feel as if looking in multiple dimensions at once, yet not able to look away.
Theo wasn’t in the mood to observe them, however, so he quickly moved to the 2 groups consisting of 9 chests in total, which he thought would be the most helpful for the current situation.
Since the four transparent chests were the ones he gained from the four minor quests when he visited each realm, and since they stood out from the rest, he decided to open them first.

[Do you wish to open the Skill Crate (4x)?]
It looked like it was possible to open multiple crates at once, but Theo didn’t bother to think about the details and immediately confirmed. Unlike the ability card crates, these ones folded into themselves until they completely disappeared.
[Congratulations!]
[You have obtained the Telekinesis skill!]
[You have obtained the Telepathy skill!]
[You have obtained the Thought acceleration skill!]
[You have obtained the Mind division skill!]
They seemed like pretty normal skills for a protagonist, but unfortunately, those weren’t the skills Theo needed at the moment, as they didn’t directly improve his power or the ability to complete his objective. They might have helped more if he already had a foundation, but unfortunately, he only knew hand-to-hand combat from his time on Earth, which won’t significantly help him in hunting down a beast. As for the skills his vessel might have learned, they were also a no-go, as he only had the corresponding memories and maybe some muscle memory at most.
Though he did feel a slight change in his thought process, along with a cooling feeling, it did little against the hunger.
His attention quickly turned to the other 5 skill crates in his possession.
[Do you wish to open the Skill crate (5x)?]
The opening procedure was similar to the last four.
[Congratulations!]
[You have obtained the Kundrarra’s Sutra skill!]
[You have obtained the Universal Allure skill!]
[You have obtained the Yin Cauldron Scripture skill!]
[You have obtained the Eternal Virginity skill!]
[You have obtained the Path Of The Wet skill!]
‘Ehhhh?!’ Theo could hear a squeal of surprise inside his head. That, combined with the names of the skills gave him a bad feeling. Although he didn’t know what all of them did, ‘Universal Allure’ and ‘Eternal Virginity’ didn’t paint a good picture.
He didn’t ask Eileen about the skills for the sake of preserving his already deteriorating mental state. He decided to open the other 10 crates first.

[Do you wish to open the Ability Card Crate (5x)?]
Even though he wanted to select all 10 at once, it appeared that it was only possible to open crates of the same type in one go.
The way the crates opened was just like the previous ability card crate, by shrinking themselves into corresponding cards.
[Congratulations!]
[You have obtained the Uno Reverse Card!]
[You have obtained the Duplication Card!]
[You have obtained the Uno Stop Card!]
[You have obtained the Delite Card!]
[You have obtained the Teleportation Card!]
Theo didn’t know how effective those cards were, but he was happy to see them nonetheless, as they had clear-cut names. He wasn’t too sure what the Uno cards were about, but just the fact that he gained a teleportation card gave him a way out if anything unexpected happened.
His hunger was starting to get the better of him, so he decided to get the rest of the crate opening over with.
[Do you wish to open the Item Crate (5x)?]
This time the opening resembled that of the previous 5 crates, only this time, they turned into items.
Two crates turned into some type of shards, both pitch-black, one became a simple silver ring, one a collar, and the last one a 15 cm long needle.
[Congratulations!]
[You have obtained the Ring Of The One And Only True Ultimate Supreme Harem Lord!]
[You have obtained the Artifact of Fenrir (Fragmented)!]
[You have obtained the World Threading Needle!]
[You have obtained the True Slave Collar!]
[You have obtained the Artifact of Jormungandr (fragmented)!]
He decided to blatantly ignore the first one and moved on to inspect the rest, although, like most of the time, he wasn’t sure of what the items were, but he also wasn’t in the proper state of mind to contemplate their uses, so Theo left the thinking up to Eileen.
‘Eileen, do you have a plan?’ Theo took deep breaths in an attempt to calm himself, while still leaning on the big tree.
‘Well, the results were not what I thought they would be, so it would be best to go with the plan I originally had in mind, though a couple of items you gained can potentially come in handy.’ Theo growled again, so she decided to hurry.
‘You will use the spectator function of the Map sub-system to scout ahead for any potential targets once you get to the 1-kilometer border that girl talked about. Hopefully, you can locate a beast without too much strength, also, be prepared to use the teleportation or Uno stop card in an emergency, although don’t use them if it’s not absolutely necessary, because you don’t understand their true worth just yet. The teleportation card can teleport you to any location you’ve been to before and the Uno stop card can stop any being.’
She paused for a second and looked at Theo who was now sitting on the cold ground clutching his face with both hands before continuing.
‘You can also use one of the Artifacts you obtained. Although they contain spirits of two very mighty beings, they are fragmented and thus don’t offer any strength boosts, so I’m not sure of how helpful they will be at their current state. These artifacts are a part of the ‘Value of Slaughter’ feature of the Shop sub-system, you just need to access it and equip one of them into the artifact wallet.’ Eileen's worry was apparent from her voice, but she could do nothing else than give him advice and knowledge about the system.
